Chapter 531: We are His Bros Too

Black God and the team had made their move.

The instant Eight Gods pulled out the Magic Scroll, five of them tacitly positioned themselves nearer to the outer ring of the battlefield.

Boom!

Boom!

Subjugator and Judge moved first and exploded out of nowhere. They crashed unstoppably and recklessly into the Order of Eight Gods players’ formation like diving fighter jets. After all, everyone affected by Eight Gods Tier 5 AoE Spell had lost their Elemental Perception altogether so no player could launch a precise attack amid the confusion. The two Warriors only needed to focus on the adjacent enemies and left the rest to their backup—the other three winged Elementalists.

Crashing into the crowd, several bright flares that burned like dragon flames spread out rapidly from Subjugator into numerous directions. His burning figure wrapped in red flame marched in mercilessly through the white lights (from Black God’s Earth Spell).

Subjugator, the number one melee fighter of Fallen Angels, could definitely be listed as the top three damage dealers of the Warrior Class in Angel Faction owing to his highest grade Gold or Dark Gold Equipment that ignored Burn damage and his Legendary weapon. This was evidently shown by his brutal and speedy propulsion—almost no one from the Order who crossed path with Subjugator could withstand his attack and remain on their feet after that.

More than ten meters away, a different approach was taken by Judge.

The number of players from the Order that were killed by Judge was way lesser than Subjugator’s count. His march depended partly on his skill, partly strength, and mostly resolve. He had a mixed set of defensive Legendary and Dark Gold equipment on. Within a few seconds, he had received countless poundings by rival warriors or other classes. But all the assault from the enemies did not seem to bother him much. The heavy bombardments from the enemies were unable to stop his advance at all. Under the heavy fire, Judge either pushed the players from the Order out of the way with his concrete outer shield or simply swept them aside using his broadsword.

Black God’s spell Earthdragon’s Rage also timely provided the two vanguards a good cover, allowing them to reach the landing spot of Eight Gods with less hindrance.

The safety of Netherspirit’s Menace, meanwhile, was less of a concern to Subjugator and Judge.

This degree of attack could not even kill Black Rock, what more, the Netherspirit’s Menace who had outplayed Dark Dragon with his extraordinary air battle and maneuvering mastery.

They were still unaware that this guy who called himself Netherspirit’s Menace was actually their Clan Leader. If they were to know, their slight concern would be reduced to nothing.

Qin Ruo had experienced such fall too many times. He no longer panicked being taken down in an air battle due to his pocketful of countermeasure. He now had the confidence to defeat anyone in the air, as high as the number of methods he could use to shoot down his winged opponent.

The first memory that came to Qin Ruo’s mind when Eight Gods ordered his men to enter the ring was the battle at Moonrise City. He knew he would be doomed if he were to fall right into the trap of the enemy troop.

He and Black Rock had dealt with such situation then and escaped unharmed. So to him, Eight Gods plan seemed petty to him now.

He calmly used pre-arrayed Water Element to form several nets that slowed down his descent gradually and buried himself in his own Frostburst the moment right before he touched the ground.

Dong!

Unharmed, Qin Ruo landed steadily on his feet. Players from the Order around him were either staggered or blasted away by the explosion.

The water nets above Qin Ruo rapidly shrunk into a condensed frost ball…

Rapid explosions!

Few Warriors who managed to stand firm were just about to jump on Qin Ruo when numerous sharp blade made of ice flew at them. The ice blade cut deep wounds on their bodies and the chill immediately spread into the veins, which froze their blood from inside out.

Within the five-meter radius from Qin Ruo, few players on the ground with inadequate defense were even killed instantaneously by the sudden attack. Under the effect of the Darkfrost Potion, Compressed Frost Bullet was no joke. Even with Berserk and Battle Aura activated, a Tier 4 player would not be able to endure the spell’s effect.

Those who were still alive after the powerful attack were no better as they were being turned into ice sculpture. Qin Ruo stayed put in the middle of the circle and immediately began charging the next spell. He had no fear of the weak ranged spell cast by the Tier 4 Elementalists beyond the encirclement.

He restored his Water Elemental Perception and spread it widely. All classes of Warrior and Bowmaster until the edge of the battlefield had now been target-locked by him.

Seeing that five Champions from Fallen Angels charged in unstoppably and massacring his members, Eight Gods who nearly fell to his death was exasperated. ‘What an idiot, Raziel!’

“Where are you and your Holy Clan?! Where have your two winged players gone?”

He could not understand how such a brilliant opportunity to snipe down Netherspirit’s Menace had slipped away in a matter of seconds. He blamed it on Holy Clan’s stupidity.

“They are disabled from flying! Damn it, I never thought that they would have such a skill. They couldn’t ascend without Angelic Wings, that’s why they are now stuck in the crowd and can do nothing about it.”

“Anti-flight?” Eight Gods was stunned. He immediately grumbled, “What about the others? Why are you guys not on the battlefield? You plan to show up only after my men are all killed?”

“F*ck! Stop shouting at me! My men were blocked at the entrance by the Violent Army! Homme Fatale and Dinosaurcerers are barricading us. You want a taste of them? Come here now. Or else, keep your filthy mouth shut!”

The one who answered back was the vice-captain of the Holy Clan, Barton. Something serious must have happened right after that, because Barton was yelling again, “F*ck! We can’t hold it any longer. Shit! There are two hundred Tier 5 players coming in from their side! Those sons of bitches from Pharaoh Clan just ran away!”

At this moment, the exterior of Savis Town was turned into a heavy war zone. The plain that span from the entrance of the town to few-hundred meters away was ravaged by fierce battles. Holy Clan, Order of Eight Gods, and Pharaoh Clan had combined to deploy at least three thousand elite fighters. Meanwhile, despite being slightly outnumbered, troops from Fallen Angels and Violent Army had gained total control of the battle situation behind the higher amount of Tier 5 Champions.

Dinosaurcerer and Homme Fatale along with a group of Tier 5 Champions guided more than a few hundred Savages from Violent Army to pin the players from Holy Clan and Pharaoh armies back inside the town. Whenever a Tier 5 tried to escape, the player would be immediately put down brutally. Tier 4 players of the losing side wouldn’t even dare to lay a finger on the enemy’s frontline formed solely by Tier 5 players.

Eight Gods’ condition had just become more dire without the promised reinforcement. At the impact of the attack by the five Champions from Fallen Angels, more than two hundred of his men had now been sacrificed in the frenzy.

He looked on helplessly as one Swordmaster and one Berserker charged in his direction.

Black Rock, Xiaoxiao, and Apocalypse worked together and took turns to destroy his troop as well. They were also advancing at him like a meat crusher.

The most horrible thing was that the scariest foe of them all was still alive. The mysterious Aquamancer stood firm in the middle and corpses piled up continuously around him at about thirty-meter radius.

Watching the number of comrades trimmed significantly at every second passed, a strong sense of panic rushed into his mind.

Black God finally ran out of idea and desperately called for help. He voiced Snowmelt for reinforcement.

But he was turned down mercilessly. “Our captain has made it clear. Unless you are able to lure out Bauhinia Clan, there is no valid reason for Netherspirit’s Claw to get involved.”

Eight Gods was utterly disappointed with the reply. He grunted, “How is that possible? Pharaoh Clan is useless. With only my people and Holy Clan, we are no match against Fallen Angels and Violent Army!”

“Retreat then!” Snowmelt’s indifferent answer to his plea stunned him.

“You bast….” Eight Gods stopped himself mid-curse and tried to regain his calm. “What did you say?” He could not believe that this was Netherspirit’s Claw response after he had followed their orders in making such a big scene and sacrificed so many of his comrades.

“If you are not up to the task given, then retreat before you lose more men.” Snowmelt’s voice was scarily emotionless. “What happened today is a bait placed by Fallen Angels, Bauhinia League, and Violent Army together. We were set up from the start and we misjudged the situation. The emergence of the Aquamancer was something we had failed to foresee. We have completely lost the battle today.”

“After Dark Dragon’s defeat, we no longer have the leverage to fight Fallen Angels. Let me repeat this one last time, we don’t have enough reason to help you since you are unable to force Bauhinia out of the curtain. Before you lose everything, it’s only wise to have your remaining men retreat to safety.” Snowmelt said this in a calm voice as if this had nothing to do with him.

“…” Black God was speechless.

While he was at loss after listening to Snowmelt’s harsh words, Subjugator soon reached him. Together with Judge, they cleanly broke open his defense and instantly killed the despairing clan leader.

After Eight Gods was killed, his remaining comrades did not hold on for long. A few hundred corpses lay around the battlefield inside Savis Town, portraying the overwhelming strength of the six players from Fallen Angels.

“Tsk!”

“I thought this lad can at least last for a little longer after fusing with Divinity. He just stood there like a moron and was killed in a jiffy. How boring… Hey Judge!”

While Subjugator was busy complaining, Judge had already raised his broadsword and paved past those bodies who were still reluctant to be revived back at the city. He walked toward the mysterious Aquamancer.

Now only Subjugator remembered about the Champion who defeated Dark Dragon and chased Judge from behind.

“Hi.”

“Let’s save the greetings for later. Black Rock, defuse the Gravity Field. We still have Holy Clan and Pharaoh to take care of,” Qin Ruo ordered.

“Alright.” Black Rock did as he was told subconsciously. Then he realized, besides Xiaoxiao, everyone was looking at Qin Ruo, puzzled.

“How did you know it was Black Rock who activated the Gravity Field?”

“Did you tell him that, Xiaoxiao?”

“It was the captain who told me,” Qin Ruo grinned and answered everyone with the answer he had thought of earlier. He then activated Angelic Wings and ascended to the sky.

He reckoned the lesser the people who know about his disguise, the better. It was also amusing to poke fun at Black Rock and the others this way.

“Damn!” Black Rock was the one who caught up first. “You are that close to our captain huh?”

“Yeap, I am his bro. A very close one.”

“Damn, we are his bros too! How come he has never told us about you, but spilled everything about us to you? So biased of him.”

“I agree. He should not have hidden you in the shadows for so long. How did you stay out of sight all this while with such skill set?” Subjugator and Judge were as curious as they were.

“Please stop flattering me. I am not as powerful as you guys think.”

“Stop being so humble!”

“Yeah, you better be honest. Or else I would challenge you after we are done with this.”

“Anytime.” Qin Ruo accepted the challenged.

Black Rock immediately shouted, “F*ck you! You don’t have to agree immediately. I am Black Rock, not Dark Dragon. Eh, Xiaoxiao, what are you laughing at?” The few of them finally noticed Xiaoxiao was on the verge of bursting out in laughter behind them.

They flapped their wings and looked at her oddly. Black Rock opened his mouth again after he studied them for some time, whereby he decided. “Such a fishy smile. Forget it, I am not going to challenge you in this case, no matter what.”

In the crowd far behind the six departed players, Remorseless Warrior and his gang watched their vanishing figures in silence. He murmured, “Gravity Field… Fallen Angels has just reached a whole new level.”
