Chapter 6686: Chu Feng Arrives on the Scene, Reactions From All Parties
Chu Feng continued to observe two locations while rushing ahead—one was the Bloodline Galaxy’s phenomenon, whereas the other was God’s Era.
“What an extraordinary light,” Fei remarked as he looked at the comet.
Even though they were still a far distance away from God’s Era, the comet that Jie Tianran had morphed into was so brilliant that they could see it clearly through an observation formation.
“It’s related to God’s Era. That should be Jie Tianran,” Chu Feng replied.
“He chose the third gate. He’s quite conservative,” Little Fishy said.
Chu Feng took out his sword key and inspected it.
“What’s wrong, big brother Chu?” Zi Ling asked.
“I’m trying to see if I can enter God’s Era discreetly. If I morph into a brilliant comet like Jie Tianran did, they will be able to lock onto the location where I enter from even if I do it from somewhere further away,” Chu Feng said.
“What’s wrong with that?” Fei asked.
“I’m worried that I might be transported back to the same place when leaving God’s Era. If the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion and the Netherworld Sect harbor the same suspicion, they will send their people to camp in the area where I set off from,” Chu Feng replied.
“I’ll beat them up if they dare come!” Feng Ling spat.
“It is one thing if it’s just the Netherworld Sect, but I’m worried that Jie Tianran might emerge from God’s Era ahead of me and ambush you. You shouldn’t come with me. Let’s set another location for us to meet up at. I’ll look for you after I come out,” Chu Feng said.
“That won’t do. It’s too dangerous,” Zi Ling and Little Fishy said in unison.
“It’s fine. Have you forgotten about this?” Chu Feng took out the Heaven Protection Shield Spirit.
“Big brother, I thought you weren't able to use that?” Little Fishy asked.
“I am able to use it now, just that I don’t want to use it unless necessary. The treasure is sentient, and its prowess weakens when more people are in its protection. It’ll be safer for me to go alone,” Chu Feng said.
“Are you certain, big brother?” Little Fishy narrowed her eyes in skepticism.
“Of course,” Chu Feng replied confidently.
“Whoever lies is a dog,” Zi Ling added.
“...” Chu Feng was rendered speechless. He was lying. He just didn’t want Zi Ling and Little Fishy to brave danger with him. Nevertheless, he still nodded, “Yes, whoever lies is a dog.”
“Fine, I’ll do as you say,” Zi Ling said.
Chu Feng passed to Zi Ling the formation where most members of the Chu Clan Alliance currently dwelled in, so that they could tap into the formation to protect themselves if they met with danger.
Then, Zi Ling and the others made their way to the location Chu Feng told them to wait at.
With that, Chu Feng was the only one left on the bamboo boat. His silhouette looked forlorn when contrasted against the vastness of space.
“You’re alone now, dog,” Eggy suddenly said.
“Why are you scolding me?” Chu Feng chuckled.
He might have felt lonely if he were truly alone, but with Eggy’s company, he didn’t feel lonely no matter where he went.
“You lied. You can’t channel the Heaven Protection Shield Spirit, can you?” Eggy asked.
“Nothing escapes Milady Queen’s notice.”
“Stop the bootlicking. The situation isn’t looking good. Your friends and clansmen have finally appeared. They might be safe in the phenomenon for the time being, but who knows when the phenomenon will open?
“Zi Ling and Feng Ling might have made huge advancements in their cultivation, but they are still no match for the Netherworld Sect. That bastard grandfather of yours also isn’t an easy foe to deal with.
“The Divine Deer hasn’t recovered its power yet, and you can’t channel the Heaven Protection Shield Spirit. That darned qilin pig has been deeply sleeping since forever. Haa, I doubt that it’ll be of any use even if it wakes up.
“There’s no other choice now. We have to obtain God’s Era’s final power to turn the tables around. Let’s set off now, Chu Feng, lest we miss the initiative. I’m also curious to know what lies inside that enigmatic God’s Era after all the commotion it has stirred,” Eggy said.
“Let’s go.”
Chu Feng steered the bamboo boat toward God’s Era.
When he reached a certain radius of God’s Era, his sword key began to react. It was much further than where Jie Tianran was before his sword key reacted.
So, Chu Feng stowed away the bamboo boat and channeled the sword key.
Energy enveloped Chu Feng. He morphed into a comet that whizzed toward God’s Era. The light he emanated was even brighter than that of Jie Tianran’s, and it immediately caught the attention of the crowd.
“Chu Feng is here. He actually chose the second gate. Is he that confident?”
Those from the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion were worried. From the brightness of their comets, it was evident that Chu Feng held the upper hand.
Little Fishy, Zi Ling, and the others continued to keep an eye on God’s Era even as they made their way toward the location marked by Chu Feng.
“Chu Feng...”
“Big brother...”
Zi Ling and Little Fishy were worried as well, though they were worried about Chu Feng’s safety.
...
In the Nine Souls Galaxy, a figure carrying an axe gazed at God’s Era. His usually casual gaze carried a hint of concern and anticipation today.
“This day has finally come. Chu Feng, no one in history has ever obtained God’s Era’s final power. I hope you achieve what no one before you has ever had.”
...
In the Bloodline Galaxy, Dongfang Hansong was observing God’s Era via an observation formation in his dark palace.
“Lord Netherworld Master’s descendant is truly impressive,” he remarked with a conflicted expression.
The door suddenly opened, and Chen Hui walked in.
“Paying respect to Lord Netherworld Marshal.” Chen Hui bowed respectfully.
“Enter the pool, Chen Hui,” Dongfang Hansong said as he glanced at the pool in the room.
The pool was filled with blood-red fluid that billowed furiously while emanating a strong but sinister aura.
“Yes, milord,” Chen Hui followed the order without questioning much.
He rarely met Dongfang Hansong, but the latter had been taking care of him. Whenever they met in private, Dongfang Hansong would always give him something good. This time wouldn’t be an exception, either.
