Xiang Ling’s eyes noticed every single shift in Li Xian’s expression as she used her seduction skill on him. She realized just how good her skills were as she noticed his blushed face, harsh breathing, and his eyes that were gazing at her with a fire in them.
"I..." Li Xian tried to speak but the words failed to come out as he found himself captivated by the woman right in front of him. She was so close to him that he could smell her flowery scent. When she spoke, his eyes refused to leave her lips which were creating very illicit images in his mind.
As she moved even closer, the movement caused her dress to slip further down her arm. This time, Li Xian failed to keep his gaze away from her exposed skin and as his eyes finally found themselves looking at her fair skin and delicate shoulder, he realized that he needed to get as far away from this woman as possible.
"I should leave." He tried to stand up but the woman caught hold of his arms and stopped him from moving.
"You haven’t answered my question yet. Where do you think you are going?" She demanded in a teasing tone and kept her hold on him firm to stop him from fleeing.
"I..." Li Xian tried to speak but stopped when the woman suddenly took hold of his chin between her thumb and forefingers and tilted his head up to make him look at her.
She stared silently into his eyes for a while and the more Li Xian looked at her face, the weaker he became. All of a sudden, the woman burst out into a chuckle when she finally pulled away from him. He just stared at her in confusion, not understanding what was so funny to make her laugh like this.
Controlling her laugh, Xiang Ling looked at the man with a warm smile on her lips and spoke, "Alright, I will not tease you anymore."
Realizing that she had been purposely enticing him all this time and he so easily fell for her trick, Li Xian felt his cheeks warming up even more. He once again tried to flee from there but was once again caught by her.
"Even though I teased you, I did understand your complaint. How about you give me a chance to make up for it?" She offered but Li Xian was too lost for words to say anything at all in response. He just slowly gave a little nod of his head which brought a satisfactory smile on her lips.
"Great. Then let’s sleep together tonight." Xiang Ling announced before she stood up and offered one of her hands to help him up.
However, her words left the man too stunned for him to pay any attention to her offered hand. "Sleep together?"
"En!" Xiang Ling gave a nod of her head before she shook her hand in front of him to catch his attention. When the man still didn’t move, she added, "Hurry up, Ah Xian. I’m so tired and want to sleep badly."
Realizing that she was only talking about sleeping on the same bed, Li Xian finally pulled himself together and stood up.
"Great. Let me help you undress quickly." Xiang Ling chirped happily as she reached out for his waist belt but was immediately stopped by the man who stared at her with wide eyes.
"What?" She asked in confusion while suppressing the smile that was threatening to spill on her lips and wanted to destroy her act.
"Why are taking off my clothes?" Li Xian asked as he kept her hands captured in his own.
"You can’t be sleeping with all these clothes on, right? Take off the outer robe and quickly go to sleep." She replied to his question and pulled her hands out of his hold. She was about to take off his waist belt when the man stepped back.
"I... I will do it myself." He said and quickly started undressing. He took off his outer robe before getting rid of the waist belt and the inner robe. In the end, he was left in his undershirt and pants. Without another word, he moved toward the bed and lay down while burying himself under the covers.
Xiang Ling was struggling to keep a straight face. She never expected to one day tease the Crown Prince of the Heavenly Realm in such a way. Getting rid of her own clothes, she headed toward the bed in the flimsy gown that left her collarbone, shoulders, and arms on full display.
Slipping under the covers, she tapped on Li Xian’s shoulder to make the man turn toward her.
He didn’t make any move for a while but when she tapped her finger again on his shoulder, he finally turned to face her. However, the moment he noticed her exposed skin, he was ready to turn away all over again but was stopped by Xiang Ling’s demand.
"Come closer and hold me."
He looked at her in silence for a while before he finally opened his arms slightly and Xiang Ling quickly rushed forward. As she looked up at his face from up close, she found herself getting lost in his mesmerizing sapphire blue eyes.
"You can touch me, you know?" She reminded him when she realized that he was keeping his hands hanging in mid-air because he was hesitant about placing his hands against her bare skin.
When he still didn’t make any move, she grabbed one of his hands and placed it over her shoulder. "Ah Xian, I’m your wife. You don’t have to think too much about touching me as long as I’m giving my consent."
Slowly, Li Xian nodded his head in understanding and a very small smile appeared on his lips which immediately disappeared when he heard her next words.
Her voice was a mere whisper as she made the demand - "Now my dear husband, kiss me good night."
