Chapter 346: Epilogue - Part 2
Chapter 346: Epilogue - Part 2
Ten thousand years later
~
The gentle warmth of the spring morning illuminated the Enchanted Peach Blossom Forest, a sacred haven of the Heavenly Realm.
Sunlight filtered through the canopy of the peach blossom trees and casted a soft pink hue over everything. The leaves and flowers were swaying lightly in the breeze, and petals kept falling like delicate snowflakes. This created an otherworldly sight.
The air was thick with the fragrance of the blooming flowers and also with the hum of the immense spiritual energy that was dancing around the forest.
Amid this tranquil beauty, a lone figure could be seen walking barefoot. Her anklets jingled with each step, creating a soft melodious sound. The young maiden’s presence was both ethereal and commanding.
Her flowing blue dress shimmered in the soft light. Her long hair was a striking mix of silver and black, and the jewelry she wore added a regal touch to her appearance, marking her as someone of immense importance in the realm.
This young woman was Yue Qing, the only daughter of Heavenly Empress Xiang Ling, and a being unlike any other. As for who her real father was, no one had been able to tell.
Her striking blue eyes were inherited from the God of Life, Zhang Xuan. The silver in her hair was a gift from the Heavenly Emperor, Li Xian, while her phoenix-shifting abilities came from the King of Spirit Beasts, Li Dao Ming. She commanded water and the allegiance of water folk, a power she gained from the Mer King, Zhe Yuan. From the Demon Emperor, Xin Cheng, she had inherited the ability to manipulate dark powers, while her ability to control the stars came from none other than the Celestial King, Wei Guang.
After all these years, all the realms had just accepted that the Heavenly Crown Princess was a rare child who carried the traits and powers of not only her mother’s, but also all six of her fathers.
Yue Qing was not just a prodigy, but an absolute miracle, a living embodiment of the seven Realms’ most powerful bloodlines. Her existence was celebrated, her potential unmatched, and her destiny monumental.
As she walked deeper into the forest, Yue Qing stopped beneath an ancient peach blossom tree whose branches seemed to stretch endlessly toward the sky. She raised her hand, and with a soft shimmer, a divine artifact appeared in her palm - a glowing object pulsating with faint golden light. It was the Soul Gathering Lamp.
Gazing at the lamp, her lips curved into a gentle smile but her eyes held a glimmer of seriousness. "I have been nourishing you for nearly five thousand years," she murmured in a soft yet resolute voice. "Hopefully, you will come out soon and help me fulfill the promise I made to Mother."
Her words hung in the air and the spiritual energy of the forest seemed to respond, gently swirling around her. With a light push, she released the lamp, allowing it to hover mid-air. It began to radiate a brighter glow, and started pulsing faintly as though alive.
Taking a step back, Yue Qing spread her arms wide. Her bare feet touched the cool earth as the spiritual qi of the forest surrounded her at her command. Closing her eyes, she focused on the abundant energy, drawing it toward herself and channeling it into the lamp.
The atmosphere grew heavy with power, and the air itself started vibrating with the sheer intensity of energy flowing through her.
The process was meticulous as it required absolute focus and precision. The spiritual qi flowed into the lamp, causing it to pulse rhythmically while its glow became brighter and more intense. For nearly half an hour, she continued to nourish the primordial spirit within the lamp. And all this time, her expression remained calm but determined.
It wasn’t until the lamp began to tremble that Yue Qing sensed something was changing. Opening her eyes, she gasped softly at the sight before her. The lamp was radiating an overwhelming light, and cracks began to appear on its surface.
Suddenly, the lamp shattered and its pieces disintegrated into motes of golden light. From within emerged a massive globe of blue energy, it was so bright to the point that it blinded her for few moments.
The sphere hovered for a moment before it began to morph, shifting and condensing until it took the shape of a man. And once the light finally dimmed and then vanished, Yue Qing found herself staring at a figure she had been waiting for all these years.
He was tall and strikingly handsome, while his features were sharp yet refined. He had a presence that exuded both strength and serenity. His long silky, black hair fluttered with the wind, just like his black robes.
Just by looking into his dark eyes, one could see years of knowledge and experience, and yet, the man himself looked like he was seeing the real world in front of him for the very first time.
For a moment, there was only silence as the two stood there while studying each other. Even the forest around them seemed like it had become frozen in time.
After what seemed like an eternity but was just few moments, Yue Qing’s lips curved into a radiant smile. When she spoke, her voice was both warm and welcoming.
"Welcome back, Xu Wei. From today onwards, you are going to be my first ever disciple."
THE END!
