Chapter 314: Lovers’ Warm Embraces
Xiang Ling tightened her arms around her man who immediately relaxed into her embrace and let out the emotions that he had been keeping stored within him. Since she personally watched how Wu Tian acted once he received the news of his father’s passing, she could already imagine that Zhe Yuan would have acted in a similar way.
He was not only the son of the Emperor of the Water Realm, but also the heir to the throne. As the heir and the next ruler of the Realm, he would have barely gotten the time to mourn for his father’s passing. As the new Emperor, he had to take care of the Realm’s matters, especially when they just got attacked by the Dark Force.
She slowly ran her hand over his back, trying her best to soothe him as he didn’t try to act all calm and emotionless in front of her. She held him close against her as he cried for his loss, knowing that she was there for him.
"It’s alright, Ah Yuan. Let it out. I’m right here." She whispered sweet nothings in his ear as she held him closely, rocking him slightly as if he was a little kid. She allowed him to take his time and the man did cry for a really long while. He probably stopped only when he ran out of tears, still, he remained in her arms with his face snuggled against her shoulder.
"How are you feeling now? Better?" She asked nearly an hour later when the man finally pulled away from her arms and she quickly handed him a cup of spiritual water.
Zhe Yuan nodded his head slowly as he accepted the water and drank it. Once he finished, he turned his attention toward her and spoke, "Lingling, I want to stay here with you. Can I? I just want you to hold me. Please."
Xiang Ling smiled softly as she nodded her head in approval. She took hold of his hand and pulled him to climb out of the bed. "Let’s go and take a bath first with me. Then we will sleep."
The man didn’t say anything and allowed her to pull him inside her space. They appeared at what seemed like a hot spring and and Xiang Ling quickly undressed him before taking care of her own clothes. The two of them settled down in the warm water side by side, enjoying the bath.
They rarely exchanged any words, but the half an hour they spend in the spring was really relaxing. They put on night robes prepared by Xiang Ling before she took him back to her bedchamber in her palace. Both of them snuggled under the blanket and went to sleep while wrapped up in each other’s arms.
Xiang Ling wasn’t sure exactly what hour of the day it was, but she felt someone else entering the bed-chamber. She didn’t become alert or even moved from where she was snuggled up in Zhe Yuan’s arms because she immediately recognized that the newcomer was none other than Zhang Xuan.
The man quietly undressed before he too climbed on the bed and slipped under the blanket behind her. The very next moment, she felt his hand snaking around her waist from behind as he found a comfortable position against her back.
"Go back to sleep." He whispered in her ear before he placed a tender kiss on her temple.
Xiang Ling did exactly as she was told and returned to her peaceful sleep while safely tucked in two of her lovers’ warm embraces. Their familiar scent engulfed her and after several long nights, she finally felt relaxed and comfortable enough to sleep.
Though she was still worried about the other four men, she couldn’t help but enjoy the little sweet moment she got to enjoy with Zhe Yuan and Zhang Xuan.

Xiang Ling woke up when her personal maidservant came to wake her up at noon. At first, she was surprised to be greeted by a face she hadn’t seen in a while, but as her eyes scanned the bed-chamber, she realized that she was back in the Celestial Realm.
She also recalled Zhe Yuan’s sudden visit and Zhang Xuan’s presence with them, but it seemed like both the men left before the servants arrived to wake her up during the late hours of noon.
Since she was a star and had to perform her duties during the night time, her resting hours were from morning to noon. Still, as an Immortal, she didn’t really need to sleep or eat, but she still loved to do both from time to time.
The fairies helped her get dressed before they all took their leave and she was left all alone in her chamber. Usually, she spent these free hours either working inside her Spatial Realm or taking some time to enjoy her various hobbies. Sometimes, she also used to visit her Immortal friends.
However, she didn’t feel like doing any of those things this particular afternoon. Her entire attention was on the men in her life, and she was especially wondering about where Zhe Yuan and Zhang Xuan disappeared. Neither the man left her any message which was making her worry.
It was not until late in the evening when she finally saw Zhang Xuan appearing inside her chamber.
"Where have you been?" She asked as she went running toward him and wrapped her arms around his waist.
"My apologies, love. There were a few important matters that I needed to take care of. But I’m back now. I also have some news to share with you."
"What news?" Xiang Ling asked curiously.
Zhang Xuan pulled her to take a seat at the table. "Zhe Yuan asked me to ask for your forgiveness because he had to leave abruptly. As the new ruler of the Water Realm, he’s now a member of the High Council. He will arrive at the Heavenly Realm tomorrow on official notice to join the meeting."
