The next few days were filled with work and work only for Xiang Ling. She tried to immerse herself in the task of passing her life tribulation with flying colors and not think too much about the unfairness that she had faced at the hands of the Heavenly Empress. But it was easier said than done because every time she came across Li Xian, she was unable to control her anger.
Even though she knew that he wasn’t directly related to her punishment and whatever his mother was doing behind the scenes, she could not help but feel her anger rising whenever she saw him.
It didn’t take long before the Crown Prince of Heavenly Realm realized that his wife was mad at him for some reason, but no matter how many times he tried to approach her, she always ignored him and ran away as if he was some sort of plague she was trying to stay away from.
Xiang Ling created a timetable for herself so that she could pay attention to all the tasks equally. Every morning, she woke up at six and spent an hour cultivating inside her Spatial Realm and training her muscles through sword art. After that, she got ready and joined Fu Xiao and An Mei in the kitchen to prepare the morning meal. She made sure to teach the two women as many cooking skills as possible.
After breakfast, she spent another hour discussing the work progress with the servants and going through the account books. Thankfully, Wei Guang was always there to help her in taking care of the manor’s daily working schedules, and thus, her work was becoming easy.
Finishing the daily meetings, she always made her way to the backyard of the Manor where Xiao Mei and Xiao Hao would be cultivating and teaching the recruits. She would spend around two hours teaching all of them about cultivation and supervising their cultivation progress.
At noon, she would have lunch with Wei Guang, Li Xian, and Zhe Yuan. After lunch, she would spend another two hours working with the second group of recruits, teaching them various skills. After observing the learning skills and enthusiasm of these five recruits, she finally decided what to teach each one of them.
She chose Wang Yang to learn cooking skills under Fu Xiao and An Mei. Every day, she too taught the young woman a recipe for a new dish. She chose to teach Yang Hui medical skills while Zhou Yan started learning business and marketing skills. Wu Xia was learning embroidery and jewelry design skills under Xiang Ling’s guidance.
All these four were young women and among them, Ying Lei was the only young man. Despite being only fourteen, he looked much more mature and carried a calm demeanor. After much contemplation, Xiang Ling decided to train him as the future assistant manager of her Inn.
By the time she would finish with all the teaching classes, it would be around three in the afternoon. Packing freshly prepared tea and snacks, she would head to the construction site to enjoy tea time with Dao Ming and Xin Cheng. Ever since that night, the conversation between her and Xin Cheng had almost ceased but neither of the two was ignoring the other.
The three of them would stay at the construction site till six in the evening and Xiang Ling would use this time to guide the work as well as prepare the greenhouse with the help of a group of workers.
After returning to the manor, she would have dinner with all her husbands before she would retire to her room, get changed into the night dress, and spend a few more hours working on her cultivation and physical strength.

"Two more days and I will finally be able to go to the Underground Slave Market. We need more people as soon as possible." Xiang Ling said as she poured a cup of hot tea for Zhe Yuan who had paid her a sudden visit.
"Want me to come along?" He asked as he accepted the cup and inhaled the aroma before taking a sip of the tea that immediately filled his mouth with its rich taste.
"No. I’m going with Xin Cheng and Dao Ming." Xiang Ling brutally rejected his offer, making the man chuckle.
"Why are you here?" She asked as she stood up from the table and headed in the direction of the window to open it and allow the natural brightness to filter inside the room. However, the moment she passed by Zhe Yuan, the man grabbed her wrist and forced her to stop in her tracks.
Surprising her, he pulled her to sit on his lap before he answered, "I have noticed how you have been putting all your attention on work these past couple of days. While we still have our meals together and talk about various things, we all can feel the distance that has suddenly appeared between us. What is going on, Lingling?"
Xiang Ling stared into his deep purple eyes for a few seconds before she let out a sigh and wrapped her arms around his neck. She snuggled against him and hugged him all the while closing her eyes. She had been on the edge for days and barely took any time to properly rest her mind. She also stayed alone at nights and kept her distance from these men. But now she was realizing that staying away from them was probably not the best idea.
Zhe Yuan was clearly surprised by her action for a moment, but he quickly returned the hug and pulled her closer to him. His arms made their way around her body and he held her tightly. "Is everything alright, Lingling?" He asked in a concerned tone.
Xiang Ling slowly nodded her head before she replied, "I’m just tired. Let me stay like this for a while."
A smile made its way to Zhe Yuan’s like and he quickly nodded his head. "Sure. You can stay like this as long as you want. I will not mind at all."
This time, it was Xiang Ling’s turn to smile. She snuggled her face against his chest to find a more comfortable position and whispered, "I know."
