Interstellar Era: Starting As a Cleaner

Chapter 87: The Fake Boss Is Online

Chapter 87: Chapter 87: The Fake Boss Is Online

"Huh, what is this thing?" Yang Bo was miserably cleaning up a pile of trash on the ground. Imagine what it would be like to be stepped on by a Mecha weighing over a hundred tons. It would literally turn someone into a meat patty.

Forcing himself to finish the cleanup, Yang Bo discovered a strange card. Surprisingly, the card hadn’t deformed at all. He had no idea what material it was made of.

"Whatever, I’ll put it away first!" The main reason Yang Bo was cleaning up this mess was because he needed to Disguise himself as the Pirate Leader to stir up trouble. Right now, the advantage was his.

He threw the Pirate Leader’s clothes, pants, and boots into the washing machine to clean them. As for the other fragments and mangled flesh, he tossed them out into space along with the scrapped Mechas of the Baisha Transport Ship’s escort team. After being destroyed by the Pirate Leader, the escort Mechas were completely unusable.

He scrubbed the floors and walls, ensuring not a single biological sample of the Pirate Leader was left behind.

Yang Bo felt that his ability to control machines was still quite limited; he could only gain access permissions for now. Perhaps once his Mechanician proficiency reached a certain percentage, he would be able to create machines of his own.

One hour later.

A newly disguised Pirate Leader appeared, looking exactly identical to the original. Since Yang Bo had used the man’s hair, he figured he could use the Pirate Leader’s identity for a very long time. In the future, whenever someone pissed him off, the Pirate Leader would make an appearance.

"How should I deal with these Pirates? I could just kill them directly, but there are way too many of them!" Yang Bo thought, unsure of what to do next. Everything had happened too suddenly.

Yang Bo continued walking through the cargo hold. Soon, he heard voices. Approaching the area, he discovered a Pirate squad that had found quite a few people inside the hold.

"Boss!"

"Boss!" the members of the Pirate squad called out in unison. They had spotted a figure instantly landing on the ground, his Battle Armor emitting a faint Energy Radiance.

Yang Bo had done this on purpose. After all, merely walking over wouldn’t sufficiently display his status.

Right now, his entire outfit was identical to the Pirate Leader’s.

Moreover, the Pirate Leader’s communication system had just been crushed under Yang Bo’s foot. By appearing right in front of them, he wouldn’t need to use the comms to speak.

"Be careful. We’ve already lost several Mechas, and I don’t know who is targeting us from the shadows. After you pass through here, don’t come back for now!" Yang Bo surveyed the scene, feeling a bit unlucky. There were dozens of civilian passengers from the Baisha Transport Ship present. If a fight broke out right now, these people would likely all be killed. Mecha combat was incredibly bloody, and the bystanders would have a hard time escaping—especially from the Laser Cannons. Once automatic targeting was engaged, they wouldn’t stand a chance of surviving.

"Boss, is it the guy who has Rift?" several Pirates immediately asked upon hearing his warning.

"I don’t know. Hurry up and head back. I’m going to find the others!" Yang Bo shook his head and left.

Very familiar with the cargo hold, Yang Bo quickly located a second squad of Pirates.

When these men saw a figure suddenly flash before them, they subconsciously raised their Energy Weapons. It wasn’t until they recognized their boss that they lowered their guard.

"Boss, why are you here?"

"Boss, did something happen?"

The Pirates asked one after another. The squad consisted of four Mechas and four Pirates wearing Energy Armor.

"Be careful. Someone is hunting our Mechas from the shadows. Head back to the stadium now where there are more people. I’ll go notify the others," Yang Bo instructed directly.

"Boss, should we still destroy this cargo hold?" the Pirates asked.

"There’s no rush for now. We’ll talk about it after the other brothers board the ship!" Yang Bo shook his head.

Hearing this, the Pirate squad nodded. They watched as their boss’s figure flashed and disappeared down the corridor he had come from.

"Who do you think is stronger: our boss, or the guy with Rift?"

"Definitely our boss. The guy holding Rift probably doesn’t have much personal strength. Otherwise, he would’ve come looking for trouble long ago instead of hiding in the shadows!"

"Exactly! The boss is an A-class powerhouse!"

"Probably even more than that. I feel like in another two years, the boss will be an A+ class powerhouse!" The Pirate squad then departed together, heading in the direction their boss had just gone, as it was the only path leading to the stadium.

Just as the Pirate squad crossed from one cabin into the next—

A Shadow plummeted down, closely followed by a brilliant flash of light.

Of the four Pirates wearing Energy Armor walking in front, two were instantly crushed into meat patties by the massive dark Shadow, while the other two were cleanly sliced in half by the flash of light. Even the two Mechas following right behind them were cleaved in two.

The Mecha Pilots in the remaining two Mechas in the rear were utterly stunned. A Mecha they had never seen before had descended from the sky, and just like that, the two Mechas in front of them were sliced in half.

The two surviving Mecha Pilots subconsciously controlled their machines to dodge, but they were in a narrow corridor. In the very next second, the mysterious Mecha charged forward. Immediately after, the two Mecha Pilots were plunged into eternal darkness!

Four Mecha Pilot +8!

Four Warship Maintenance +8!

The entire process took only a single second. Yang Bo’s Mecha landed, crushing two to death! With a casual slash, he cleaved two Mechas, slicing the two Pirates in Energy Armor along with them. Then, with a forward charge, the remaining two were also finished off.

The dead Pirates felt incredibly wronged!

After all, their boss had just come from here and left through the very same path. Who could have imagined that a Mecha was lying in ambush here!

Furthermore, it was a Mecha wielding an Energy Weapon. This was simply bullying them to the extreme!

"Mecha Energy Weapons are absolutely insane!" Yang Bo marveled at the five-meter-long Energy Weapon in his Mecha’s hand. This was vastly superior to the Mecha Cold Weapons he used in his game. Of course, this type of Energy Weapon consumed a massive amount of Energy. If a Mecha’s Energy System hadn’t been modified, a third-generation Mecha’s Energy System simply wouldn’t be able to power a five-meter-long Energy Weapon like this.

The Pirates’ four Eighth Generation Mechas had been sliced in half as easily as tofu.

In truth, the Energy Weapon on Yang Bo’s current Mecha was more formidable than the Cold Weapons of current tenth-generation-plus Mechas. No matter how powerful the Cold Weapons of those advanced Mechas were, they couldn’t possibly be made entirely of Energy Metal.

"It seems I should still use the Laser Cannon for killing. Slashing with a blade turns the place into a slaughterhouse!" Yang Bo roughly tidied up, looking at the bloodstains covering the floor. This time had indeed been too bloody, especially for the four wearing Energy Armor—two crushed into meat patties by the Mecha, and two sliced in half.

"Excellent. Let’s continue!" After cleaning up the scene, Yang Bo decided that, as the boss, he should go "check on" more of his Pirate subordinates.
