Interstellar Era: Starting As a Cleaner

Chapter 55: The Tiger-faced King Watches the Show

Chapter 55: Chapter 55: The Tiger-faced King Watches the Show

"This son of a bitch actually tortures and kills small animals."

"Exactly. I had to change IPs hundreds of times just to get to this base."

"This guy is definitely a scumbag in real life."

"Yeah. Even though we can’t kill this bastard outright, we can lure other Mutant Creatures over," the Gang Leader said. "I bought some detailed information on Mutated Beasts nearby. Everyone, take a look.

"This guy’s destination is definitely where he killed the bats last time. To use a Hydrogen Bomb on so many little bats...

"Ming, go drive the bats away first."

"Yes, Gang Leader," Ming replied.

"The rest of us will do this..." The Gang Leader mapped out the plan. "As long as his Mecha gets blown up a few times in a row, he’ll likely go bankrupt. Operating the lowest-level Blade Mecha, this pervert is probably a Low Level Mecha Master. Once he goes bankrupt, the game company will sue him. Our goal is to make this guy rot in jail."

"Yes, Gang Leader."

Yang Bo had no idea that a group of players had gathered at his base from all over, plotting to teach him a lesson and set traps for him.

Watching the Mechas Flying across the sky, Yang Bo felt a pang of envy. "These Mechas are so beautiful. They look Advanced at first glance."

It wasn’t that Yang Bo couldn’t afford to change his Mecha. If it weren’t for the fact that there were no cheaper Mechas available, he would have swapped for the absolute cheapest one long ago. After all, he was only here to hunt small animals.

Of course, these Advanced Mechas came with exorbitant operating costs and were designed for hunting and capturing Exotic Beasts.

However, when rich people played games, they were just playing for fun. They couldn’t care less about maintenance fees or whether they were making a profit.

"Ah, what is this?" Yang Bo arrived at the location, ran a radar sweep, and was dumbfounded. Where were the bats?

Did they move? Did they go on vacation? Or did they pack up and run away?

Refusing to give up, Yang Bo entered the cave entrance and ran another radar sweep, but he still found no trace of any bats.

"This... this..." Yang Bo hesitated. Was he just going to head back empty-handed after coming all this way?

Checking his data, Yang Bo felt conflicted. The information showed that there was a location in the danger zone with a relatively large population of bats.

"Let’s go!" He looked at his Mecha, fully loaded with ammunition, Hydrogen Bombs, and Shock Wave Bombs. There was no reason to retreat.

The Mecha walked forward automatically. As long as nothing interfered with the Intelligent System along the way, the Mecha could navigate to its destination on its own.

He thought, "Sound Wave Control... Thousands of bats in a single cave, yet the chances of them colliding while Flying are incredibly low.

"This proves that the bats’ Sound Waves have their own individual frequencies. It’s just like my Sound Wave Superpower. In other people’s ears, they hear regular whistling and footsteps, but when those Sound Waves feed back to me, it’s a completely different picture.

"Maybe this is why those detection devices haven’t discovered my Superpower."

Yang Bo knew far too little about Superpowers; he was just figuring things out blindly on his own.

He really wanted to learn more, but he had no connections. Besides, in his view, it wasn’t extremely important to know everything. As long as a Superpower was usable, it was a good ability.

He thought, "There’s no need to expose the fact that I have a Superpower just to understand the specifics. I’m just a resident, not some full-fledged citizen. What do killings and all that have to do with me? I’m part of the vulnerable demographic."

The Mecha System prompted that he had entered the danger zone. Yang Bo immediately took over manual control.

Fortunately, the location with the bats wasn’t too deep into the danger zone...

Yang Bo cautiously arrived at a valley. He turned on the radar and was dumbfounded once again.

"Is the information provided by the base inaccurate?" There were no bats. None. Absolutely nothing.

While Yang Bo was staring in disbelief, seven or eight beautiful Mechas flew overhead. He looked at their elegant lines and the distinct Energy Radiance of Rare Metals. They were clearly high-end models. Then, he looked back at his own Mecha, with its blocky, clunky design.

Little did he know, in a valley behind him, a group of Mutants was watching from afar.

"Where did these Mechas come from?" the leading Mutant asked in a low voice, watching the beautiful machines in the sky.

"I don’t know. They just appeared out of nowhere. Look, they’re stopping. They’ve stopped." While the Mechas were Flying at high speeds, the Mutants didn’t dare to strike rashly because of the threat of Rail Cannons.

Surprisingly, these Advanced Mechas hovered over the distant mountains, as if they were waiting for or observing something.

"Let’s go." The leading Mutant stared greedily at the Advanced Mechas. The Rare Metals on these machines were their target.

This leader was a Metal Superpower User who absorbed different Rare Metals to expand his abilities. He was also a local overlord within the Mutant faction.

The Mutants entered the cave and sneaked toward the distant Advanced Mechas. No one knew the Underworld better than the Mutants.

Watching the commotion from a distance, the Tiger-faced King was somewhat astonished by the Advanced Mechas. "Could they be the target’s companions?"

He thought, "That shouldn’t be the case."

"My King, this is the latest intelligence. These Advanced Mechas wounded a B-rank Silver Armor Rhinoceros. It seems they are deliberately luring the rhino toward that jinx." At that moment, the Tiger-faced King received the newest update.

After all, this was his territory. Reading the message, the Tiger-faced King was flabbergasted. The Mecha’s own companions were actually trying to deal with him? Why?

"My King, according to the intel, many people in the human world have placed a bounty on this jinx. Something about an animal protection organization from the government... They seem furious that he’s killing small animals, which I honestly don’t understand," a Mutant beside the Tiger-faced King said.

The Tiger-faced King shook his head and then burst into laughter. "See that? This jinx came out all by himself. If we had gone, not only would we have run into a whole bunch of Advanced Mechas, but we’d also have to face a Silver Armor Rhinoceros. Haha, my neighbor probably has no idea."

"You are wise, My King. This jinx is truly a jinx, leaving the base entirely alone."

"Tsk, tsk. Let’s just sit back and watch the show. Tell our subordinates to keep their distance." The Tiger-faced King chuckled mischievously. His neighbor had special abilities and had always been at odds with him.

Yang Bo was searching for bats while sighing over how many rich players there were in this game. Suddenly, a streak of silver flashed, and piercing alarms instantly blared inside his Mecha.

Yang Bo’s Dynamic Field of View had already captured what it was: a colossal silver beast, six meters tall and seven to eight meters long, resembling a double-decker bus. It had just lunged past, barely fifty meters away from his Mecha.

He hurriedly manipulated his Mecha to turn around, only to see the giant beast on the opposite hillside of the valley. It turned its head, glaring at him with huge crimson eyes.

"A Silver Armor Rhinoceros!" Yang Bo gasped. Wasn’t this thing supposed to be hundreds of kilometers away? The rhino was covered in silver scales, and the single horn on its head, marked with golden patterns, flashed with Energy Radiance.

Run!

Yang Bo instantly darted into a nearby cave. Smoothly dropping a Hydrogen Bomb at the entrance, his hands became a blur across the keyboard.

BOOM! Yang Bo controlled the Mecha, fleeing frantically as the alarms inside blared relentlessly.

Meanwhile, on the other side, the group of Advanced Mechas stood on the mountain. Through their team’s drone, they watched the Silver Armor Rhinoceros chase the Blade Mecha into the cave like a rat. The shockwave from the Miniature Hydrogen Bomb directly blasted the rhino off its feet. However, in the very next second, the Silver Armor Rhinoceros let out a furious roar and charged right into the cave.

"Haha, this guy is doomed."

"Exactly. And this pervert actually thought he could escape..." Excitement buzzed through the Mecha team’s communication channel.

In the next second, piercing alarms erupted inside everyone’s Mechas. From behind them, over a dozen Shadows soared into the sky, pouncing viciously toward the group of Mechas.
