"So, this is where I’ll be staying for the next fifteen days..." Yi Chen muttered to himself while looking around the hemispherical room that was lit with yellow luminous stones that were just bright enough not to sting his eyes.
"It’s much better than I thought..." he muttered while taking out a few cushions and blankets he had in his main storage ring to create a makeshift bed for himself.
With that done, he took out the mace from inside his storage ring and placed it next to the bed before flopping his tired body on the bed, his eyes closing soon after.
He had been standing for several hours now; as a result, he was both mentally and physically a little exhausted.
Therefore, he decided to rest a little before trying out the mace.
A couple of hours later, Yi Chen opened his eyes, feeling completely refreshed.
"Gosh, that was one good nap!" he exclaimed in satisfaction while twisting his back left and right as satisfying cracks blessed his ears the next second.
Glancing at the mace the next second, he grabbed onto its handle with his right hand and picked it up the next second.
The shaft was a little longer than his entire arm and was flared towards the head, which was a circular piece of metal that was twice the size of Yi Chen’s head.
The fact that he didn’t like the inelegant design was blatantly evident on Yi Chen’s face as he let out a sigh. The next moment, he grabbed onto the handle with both arms and tightened his grip.
"It’s not like I have any other choice anyway..."
He muttered, irritation evident in his voice, while raising the handle above his head before doing a vertical slash straight down.

He roared and attempted to stop its descent just as the mace’s head was about to reach his waist height, only to realise at the last moment that the momentum was too much for him to control as the head crashed right onto the ground the next second.

"This shit..."
He cursed under his breath at seeing this before attempting it again, only to experience the same results.

"Why the hell is it so difficult to control?!" he roared, with irritation evident in his voice, echoing in the entire cave, worsening his mood even further.
"Fuck it, if I can’t swing it like a sword, then I’ll just keep hammering it on the ground!" he muttered in irritation and started hammering the mace again and again on the ground as if there was no tomorrow.
Tens of strikes soon turned into dozens, and dozens turned into hundreds, before finally a familiar sound echoed inside his head, prompting him to check his cultivation arsenal the very next moment.

’So, it finally appeared, huh?’ Yi Chen thought with an exhausted smile while covered in sweat.
All this time, he had been trying so hard with this very assumption that the ’Basic Macemanship’ section would appear in his cultivation arsenal.
Now that it had appeared, he couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief while recovering his breath.

Taking a bottle out of his storage ring, he soon gulped one of them down, and just a couple of seconds later, a cool sensation ran through his entire being as the muscles seemed to have recovered their previous agility.
"Great! Let’s start again then." Yi Chen thought with a bright expression.
Keeping the pill bottle next to a rock, he got up soon, with his mace tightly gripped in his hand.
A barrage of deafening strikes echoed in the entire cave one after the other as Yi Chen completely immersed himself in the repetitive task of striking the ground one after the other.
He kept at it for several hours, repeating the process of taking the pills five times in a row before finally calling it quits.
"The Patriarch did warn me to take it in moderation...for today, although less, I’ll have to be satisfied with this much progress. Tomorrow I’ll aim higher."
He muttered to himself while glancing at his Macemanship proficiency.
