Despite having plenty of misgivings in his heart, in the end, Yi Chen had no choice but to accept the situation while waiting in the crowd of cultivators who were all going through a similar turmoil in their hearts.
’At least...it isn’t just me.’ He muttered inwardly in an attempt to console himself as he saw various other candidates being handed a mace by the instructor as well in the following hour.
A few moments later, everyone had a weapon in their hands.
Taking a few steps forward until he was standing right in the middle, Instructor Tang turned to face the candidates before taking out a wooden crate from inside his storage ring and said while pointing in its direction.
"As you all can see, this crate is filled with a hundred storage rings. Each one of them is filled with enough provisions to last you for the next fifteen days inside the cave, for its entrance would be sealed shut the moment you enter it."
Instructor Tang paused briefly and continued, "Inside each cave, there’s enough space for you to freely practice with your weapon, so you need not worry about facing any difficulties with regard to that area.
With that, I believe I’ve addressed all the necessary information you all need to know, so one by one, come and collect your storage ring before-"
Instructor Tang was about to finish his words when he suddenly saw one of them raise their hands.
The owner of the hand was an elegantly dressed young man whose cultivation was at the Eighth Meridian Refinement Stage.
"Yes, what doubt do you have?" Instructor Tang asked while pointing in that man’s direction.
"Uhm, Elder, I wanted to ask if there are toilets inside our individual caves or not? If not, then how are we supposed to relieve ourselves? Will the cave’s entrance be opened once every day to allow us to go outside..."
The man asked with a genuine expression on his face, causing many other cultivators among the crowd to nod after hearing those words.
Seeing this, a wide smile formed on Instructor Tang’s face as he asked the very next second, "May I know your kind name?"
"I-It’s Ma Feng." The man answered with a hint of pride evident in his voice.
"Ah, so you’re from the Ma Clan. That’s an understandable doubt to have." Instructor Tang nodded in understanding, with a smile still evident on his face, as he turned to face the other candidates and asked, "How many others here are having the same doubts as him? Please raise your hands."
Hearing this question, tens of hands immediately went up.
’Are you guys serious...’
A forced smile immediately formed on Yi Chen’s face as he saw Feng Ning, Zhou Mei and the rest raising their hands up in the air for something like this.
Seeing such a huge number of hands in the air, even he somewhat began to wonder whether not raising his hand was the correct decision or not. ’Should I have also raised my hands?’
However, listening to his gut, he chose not to in the end.
Meanwhile, with the same smile on his face, Instructor Tang addressed them all, "Now, to answer your question. No, there aren’t any toilets available inside the caves. Nor will you be allowed to go out of the cave to do your business. I hope that answers everyone’s question."

Confused murmurings immediately started among the participants the moment they heard those words.
Being the one who had taken the initiative to ask that question in the first place, a frown was evident on Ma Feng’s face as well, and he immediately asked a couple of seconds later, "Then how? How are we supposed to relieve ourselves inside the caves?"
The understanding smile that had been present on Instructor Tang’s face all this while finally fell as he exploded the very next instant, "This isn’t your clan, you brat! Do you want me to explain every single thing to you? It’s the same for others as well! What’s the point of having that thing between your ears if you can’t arrive at such a simple answer on your own?"
His anger soon transferred to all other candidates who still had a confused expression evident on their faces and exclaimed, "Just dig a fucking hole and fill it up later! What’s so complicated about it?! Privileged fools!"
He snorted the next second and said the next moment, "Those who didn’t raise their hands earlier, come forward and start taking your rings by one before finding a suitable cave for yourself.
As for the rest, continue standing here till the end of the day! That’s your punishment for being so clueless about how things work in this world."

Yi Chen let out a relieved breath hearing those words and cast a pitiable look towards Zhou Mei and the rest, then went to grab a storage ring and walked towards the enormous wall behind Instructor Tang that was filled with hundreds of cave entrances.
Each entrance was the height of an average human and extended several meters inside.
Seeing others entering their caves and their entrances shut behind them as they did so, Yi Chen glanced around to look for a cave of his liking.
While all of them looked the same, the difference lay in their location.
Tilting his head at the topmost section of the caves, he chose the one that was situated at the top left corner of the wall.
"Yes, that looks like a good place." Yi Chen muttered with a satisfied nod before walking up the stairs that had been carved into the walls as he finally reached outside his cave’s entrance.
"Let’s go then."
Taking a deep breath, he walked straight inside the cave as a formation that had been inscribed on the cave’s entrance door glimmered, and the entrance was closed the next second.
"Luckily it’s not completely dark in here," he muttered to himself while making his way inside, as a subtle orange light could be seen coming from a few meters ahead, hidden by the protruding rocks.
A few moments later, after bending left and right to move past the protruding rocks, he finally reached an open area.
