Chapter 157: Chapter 123: I Love Mom Too! I Love Mom More Than Him! I Love Mom the Most
Xiao Juzi was woken by a full bladder. With his little belly puffed out, he groggily followed First Generation to the bathroom to pee.
A shiver of relief ran through him, and he was led back to his room by First Generation’s mechanical hand.
He climbed into bed and buried his face in his pillow, ready to go back to sleep, when his little, sluggish brain slowly started to boot up.
’There was something really important I had to do today.’
’That’s right, Mom promised she’d take me to school with her!’
His clear, dark eyes snapped open, but his attention was caught by a black, circular device next to his hand. Xiao Juzi picked it up and examined it over and over.
’I think I’ve seen this thing on that jerk before.’
’I don’t know what it’s for.’
’Wearing this thing isn’t cool at all.’
’Right, first things first.’
Xiao Juzi rolled out of bed and ran to find his mom. Following her scent, he ended up in front of a sealed cabin door.
He was sure his mom was inside.
Xiao Juzi raised his hand and started banging on the door. It echoed with a BANG BANG BANG, but there was no sound from within.
He tilted his head back, took a few small steps, and finally noticed something: there was a retinal and voice recognition lock on the side of the door.
Xiao Juzi said to the lock, "Open up~"
The lock replied with a cold voice: "Match failed."
"O-pen... up!" Xiao Juzi huffed, repeating the command one word at a time.
The lock was just as cold: "Match failed."
Xiao Juzi roared in his fiercest toddler voice, "My mommy is in there!"
The lock, unfeelingly: "Match failed!"
Xiao Juzi puffed up his cheeks in anger. His dark eyes went wide, his little hands balled into fists, and with his tail held straight, he charged forward on his short legs, ramming his small body against the cabin door.
The instant before he hit it, the door suddenly slid open.
Xiao Juzi crashed squarely into a pair of long legs, bounced back out the door, and landed flat on his butt.
Xiao Juzi felt dizzy, his eyes unable to focus, but he smelled a very familiar scent.
’It’s Mommy’s scent!’
He clutched his head and focused his eyes, seeing the cabin door close behind the man. Forgetting the pain, he scrambled to his feet and ran over, but he was too late.
The door sealed shut, cutting off his mother’s scent.
The man was shirtless. His wheat-colored skin glistened faintly with sweat. His waist was lean and powerful, his abdominal muscles clearly defined. The slightly loose waistband of his pants hung low on his alluring obliques, exuding an air of lazy, insatiable masculinity.
Qin Shiwei warned in a low, hoarse voice, "Don’t be loud. Your mother just fell asleep."
Realizing the jerk had been with his mom all night while he was asleep, Xiao Juzi pressed his lips together, tears welling in his eyes. He raised a hand and forcefully threw something at the man.
The man’s hand caught the object by his thigh.
A black ring.
It was his disguise device.
Qin Shiwei casually put the disguise device on as he listened to the little guy’s furious, toddler-fierce voice:
"Give me back my mommy!"
The man’s irritation flared. He frowned slightly and warned in a cold voice, "You’d better not push your luck while I can still tolerate you!"
"I have no desire to play the loving father and son with you, but I have to consider your mother’s feelings!"
Xiao Juzi defiantly declared his sovereignty, "Mommy is mine!"
Qin Shiwei corrected him calmly, "She’s mine."
There was no competitive desire to win in his deep voice, as if he were stating an indisputable fact.
"She’s mine! She’s mine! She’s mine!" Xiao Juzi shouted. "I won’t give Mommy to anyone!"
"What a coincidence."
The father and son couldn’t get along, yet they were surprisingly in perfect agreement when it came to their possessiveness of one woman.
The man’s mature charisma and intimidating height created a huge sense of disparity in Xiao Juzi’s young heart.
He sniffled helplessly. The defiant stubbornness on his little face was his last shred of pride.
Seeing the tears pooling in the boy’s eyes, Qin Shiwei froze for a moment. An image of the woman’s plaintive begging flashed through his mind.
The man’s gaze flickered, his heart softened, and he lowered his voice. "I have things to do this morning. You be good and stay home with your mother. It’s still early, so let her sleep a little longer."
He didn’t seem to realize that he himself was the culprit who had kept the woman up most of the night.
Xiao Juzi pointed a small hand at the sealed cabin door, still fuming. "Then open the door!"
"When your mother wakes up, she’ll come out and find you." With that, Qin Shiwei took a long stride and stepped past him.
