Chapter 671 - 690: Telling Mo Si Her Choice
Chapter 671: Chapter 690: Telling Mo Si Her Choice
With plenty of time on their hands, the two of them first chatted about various non-confidential matters on the Polar Planet.
Jiang Qiuqiu asked how Mo Si had been doing recently.
It wasn’t Mo Si’s first year there, so he was doing fine. It was the same thing every year, after all.
Then, the conversation turned to Jiang Qiuqiu. Her life at school wasn’t very eventful either—just a simple routine of waking up, eating, attending classes, and sleeping.
Of course, there had been some new developments.
"I can pilot a Medium-sized Mecha now."
Mo Si, on the other end of the video call, was also surprised. "You can pilot a Medium Armor?"
"Mhm, I tested in a B2 Battle Armor. I can control it for about 40 minutes."
There was a long silence from the other side as Mo Si thought. "Logically speaking, you shouldn’t be able to withstand the pressure inside the cockpit."
"Yeah, I’m not just toughing it out," Jiang Qiuqiu said, before telling Mo Si how she used her spiritual power as a shield.
As a seasoned veteran, Mo Si noticed something. "Before I left, I ran a spiritual power test with you. Your current spiritual power shouldn’t be strong enough to be split into two streams, should it?"
One to resist the pressure and one to control the Mecha—that would be too much of a drain.
Jiang Qiuqiu hummed in agreement.
’That’s right. What Mo Si just mentioned was the first trump card she had prepared.’
’The kind of trump card that other Mecha Soldiers could only hope to grasp.’
"I feel like my spiritual power... it seems to have improved again."
She had noticed it in the subtle details: her recovery speed had quickened, and her Spirit Sea felt wider. One is always keenly aware of the senses of their own body.
"You went from A to A+?"
"I’m not sure, I haven’t been tested yet. But I think so."
’How long has it even been?’
Just a little over a year. From a spiritual user far below B-level who didn’t even know how to use a Mental Training Device, to an A+ Level soldier who could now withstand the g-forces in a Mecha cockpit.
Even Mo Si, who was accustomed to seeing prodigies, was a little stunned. "You..."
"Qiuqiu, you’re truly incredible."
"You’re a born Mecha Soldier."
Not only did she have a talent for Spirit Healing, but her gift for piloting Mecha was no less impressive.
"I have a feeling that if I told our Teacher Mao about this, he’d probably say the same thing." Jiang Qiuqiu tilted her head and chuckled. "Oh, right, Mo Si, there’s something else I want to tell you."
"What is it?"
"Well... you know how I had that three-month deadline and was supposed to transfer to the Spirit Healing Department? I don’t want to transfer over anymore."
As Qiuqiu spoke, a determined light flashed in her eyes. "Mo Si, I want to double-major."
"I want to take classes from both departments at the same time!"
His girlfriend’s words were passionate, but the Mecha Department and the Spirit Healing Department...
"Double-majoring? That’ll be exhausting. Besides, both are practical, hands-on departments. A lot of the classes will conflict."
"I know. I’ve observed both departments carefully. The Mecha Department isn’t far from the Spirit Healing Department, and they both have practical and theoretical courses. I don’t think the theory for either will be that difficult for me."
’Most of it is just reading material, really. The stuff for the Mecha Department is mostly chronicles and historical records. I’ve been to the digital library a few times, and a lot of it is available there. I can definitely teach myself.’
’I haven’t taken any classes in the Spirit Healing Department, but based on what Mrs. Ai’er taught me, I already understand a lot of the practical aspects. I just need to absorb some of the theory about training Healing Spiritual Power and then integrate everything. I can do it!’
She had even drawn up a plan.
It was clear and logical.
"Alright," Mo Si said. "It seems you’ve already made up your mind."
"Yes." Jiang Qiuqiu nodded. "I’ve made my decision."
