"Qiuqiu." Mo Si’s eyes were brimming with longing.

"The Star Network rebroadcast your previous interview. I just saw you on the trending topics list two days ago. Is there a ceasefire this morning?"
"No ceasefire." Mo Si pressed his eyes. They’d been overworked for too long and had a throbbing ache. "Another general arrived. He’s watching the front lines now, so I’ve been rotated out to rest."
"Oh, so that’s what happened." Jiang Qiuqiu sat on the sofa at home, her gaze softening. "It’s good you have someone to rotate with. You were working way too hard before."
Mo Si couldn’t answer whether it was hard work or not.
But the feeling of being cared for by the woman he loved was undeniably wonderful.

"My life here is pretty mundane. Enough about me, let’s talk about you." Mo Si looked up, the brim of his hat blocking the light. He took it off.
He hadn’t had a haircut in a while, and his hair had grown out a bit. It was more stylish than before, even better looking.
Mo Si set the hat on the table, his voice gentle. "I want to hear about you, Qiuqiu."
He then looked back at Jiang Qiuqiu, unwilling to waste a single second.

"No, no, no!" Jiang Qiuqiu immediately shook her head and blinked. "I think it looks great! Are you allowed to have slightly longer hair there? I suddenly really want to see what you look like with it longer!"
She pouted playfully.

"I can."
’Great. I’m not cutting it.’
Then he repeated himself, "Stop talking about me. Let’s talk about you. I want to hear what you’ve been up to."
Jiang Qiuqiu scoffed. "Why are you like this? You only think about yourself!" she said, pointing a finger at him in mock anger. "Can’t you think about me for a second?"
But the oblivious man couldn’t tell she was faking it. Mo Si was completely baffled and a little helpless, with no idea what he’d said to make Qiuqiu angry.
Just as he was about to apologize, Jiang Qiuqiu quickly added, "I want to hear about what’s happening on your end, too! I want to know all about you!"
"You’re not the only one who misses me."

They were separated by a screen and tens of thousands of light-years.
For a moment, Mo Si didn’t know what expression to make. He just stared at the screen, a faint blush creeping across his face.
After a long moment, he finally recovered. "We were both just too eager," he said. "I just missed you too much."
