Chapter 556: Chapter 340: Tianya Academy’s Proactive Contract Addendum; The Visiting Instructor Li Qiongtian and Lu Mei
"You have no idea how happy I was when you won both the individual and team championships in the third-round exhibition match of the University Alliance Training Camp!"
Zhang Yi could hear the sincerity in Instructor Li Qiongtian’s voice as he said this, but he also knew the reason why.
"This time, I took a part-time job as an instructor for the regional assessment at the University Alliance Training Camp," Li Qiongtian continued. "The thing I’m most proud of is investing in you and Lu Mei! After this University Alliance Training Camp is over, I’ll have more than enough resources for my promotion."
After sitting down, Instructor Li Qiongtian’s expression turned serious as he opened the contract he had brought with him.
"I’ve come today on behalf of the admissions office of Tianya Academy’s Central Campus to confirm a few things. This is the S-Level Cultivation Contract you previously signed with Tianya Academy. The original terms included, but were not limited to, the right to use Divine Artifacts after enrollment, your Cultivation Level, and the gamble agreement... And according to the gamble agreement we signed, as long as you, Zhang Yi, demonstrate the power of a True God before the school year begins, you will be able to enter the academy’s treasury upon enrollment and select resources of the Weak Divine Being Level."
At this point, Instructor Li Qiongtian looked up at Zhang Yi. "Correct?"
Zhang Yi nodded. "Correct."
"In light of your outstanding performance in the third-round exhibition match of the University Alliance Training Camp, Tianya Academy has decided to add even better terms to the gamble agreement."
Hearing this, Zhang Yi made a "please continue" gesture to Instructor Li Qiongtian and listened with rapt attention.
"Regarding the use of Divine Artifacts, there are no changes. However, if you can ascend to a True God before the start of the school year at Tianya Academy and prove your potential once more, then Tianya Academy is willing to offer double the resources as the reward for your success in the gamble agreement. That is, you can select two Six-Star Level Divine Domain Cards, or take two sets of resources meant for a Weak Divine Being.
"Furthermore, Tianya Academy’s Central Campus is also willing to provide the corresponding resources and cultivation contracts for two of your followers throughout their university years! They will be cultivated according to an A-Level Cultivation Contract. What do you think?"
Hearing Instructor Li Qiongtian propose even better terms, Zhang Yi was naturally satisfied. Although the improvements weren’t huge, the main increase was in the rewards for winning the gamble agreement. But this time was different from before. This time, it was the admissions office of Tianya Academy that had taken the initiative to increase the rewards in his cultivation contract. If not for the fact that the highest cultivation contract in all the Yanhuang Federation’s campuses was S-Level, they probably would have offered to upgrade Zhang Yi to an even higher-level contract!
Moreover, this time, in addition to the other rewards, Tianya Academy’s Central Campus had also taken the initiative to offer A-Level Cultivation Contract slots for two of Zhang Yi’s followers!
This is a pleasant surprise!
According to the previous contract, although Zhang Yi had the right to bring his followers to Tianya Academy to receive an education, he would have had to pay for a considerable portion of their educational expenses himself. But now, the new, amended contract was completely different!
Tianya Academy was proactively providing two A-Level cultivation contracts for Zhang Yi. Not only would he be able to bring two students into Tianya Academy for an education without them having to undergo any assessment, but all their educational expenses would also be covered by the academy. The only thing to consider was whether the people Zhang Yi brought in could hold on to their corresponding contract levels after the first semester.
As expected, Zhang Yi’s thoughts turned to Lin Aoxue, who was still at Golden City First High School.
She’s the first person I confirmed for the team I’m building for myself. I definitely have to bring her to Tianya Academy. After all, I still have that fragment of the Moon Law I saved specifically for her.
For some reason, while thinking about his plans for Lin Aoxue, his thoughts suddenly drifted to Lu Mei. Shaking his head, Zhang Yi cleared all these thoughts from his mind and turned his focus back to Instructor Li Qiongtian, who was sitting across from him.
"There’s no problem at all, Instructor Li. I can fully accept the additional terms from Tianya Academy."
Instructor Li Qiongtian was not the least bit surprised to hear Zhang Yi’s decision to accept. After all, the additional terms offered by Tianya Academy this time came with no extra obligations, only rewards. It was practically a free bonus, and as long as Zhang Yi wasn’t a fool, he would definitely accept.
By the time Zhang Yi and Instructor Li Qiongtian finished their conversation, it was only 7:25, five minutes before the 7:30 that Zhang Yi had expected. However, Instructor Li Qiongtian clearly had no intention of staying any longer. Once Zhang Yi’s name was signed on the new contract, Instructor Li Qiongtian left with it. Before he left, however, he gave Zhang Yi his contact information and told him to get in touch if he ran into any trouble in the future.
Half an hour after seeing Instructor Li Qiongtian off, another knock sounded at Zhang Yi’s door.
Opening the door, Zhang Yi saw Lu Mei.
She had changed out of the standard-issue combat uniform from the University Alliance Training Camp and was wearing a fiery red dress. Her flame-colored hair was tied up in a long, single ponytail. The hem of the dress swayed like a flickering flame, making her skin appear even more snow-white by contrast. The long red dress couldn’t quite conceal the smooth, white skin of her chest.
In any case, Zhang Yi couldn’t help but take a second look.
