Chapter 555: Chapter 340: Tianya Academy’s Proactive Contract Addendum; A Visit from Instructor Li Qiongtian and Lu Mei
"With your talent, you can build a career for yourself no matter where you go, so you don’t have to rush your decision," Chief Instructor Yang explained. "I was too hasty just now. The main reason, however, is that I really don’t want you to fall into the hands of that old rascal, Li Taoyun. He and I have some minor friction, you understand?"
Hearing Chief Instructor Yang’s words, Zhang Yi nodded quickly. "I understand, I understand."
"Good, as long as you understand." As he spoke, Chief Instructor Yang walked over to the window. "After you go back this time, you should be ready to ascend to True God, right? Ascending to True God is a major event. No matter how well you prepare, you can’t let your guard down."
"If you have any problems in the future, you can come to me anytime. Whether as your instructor or as an elder, I won’t turn you away. Here’s my contact information. You can save it."
Watching as Chief Instructor Yang handed him a business card condensed from Divine Power, Zhang Yi accepted it, a warm feeling flooding his heart.
"Thank you, Chief Instructor Yang."
"Mm, is there anything else you need? If there is, I can help you take care of it right now. After you leave tomorrow with your supervising instructor, I won’t be able to step in anymore."
At this, Zhang Yi did recall something he wanted to ask Chief Instructor Yang for help with. "It’s like this. After I finished picking my Divine Domain Card yesterday, I noticed I still had a few hundred points left on my personal terminal. Although the remaining points aren’t enough to exchange for a five-star Divine Domain Card, I wanted to ask what I should do with them."
"Oh, you mean that?" Chief Instructor Yang’s face lit up with understanding. "My mistake. I forgot to tell you students. On this final day, the University Alliance Training Camp will be opening up access on your personal terminals to exchange for Divine Domain Cards of other levels. No matter how few points you have left, surely you can get at least a one-star Divine Domain Card, right?"
"Of course, if you don’t want to exchange them, you can just leave the points there. After you leave the University Alliance Training Camp and the Yanhuang Federation First War Fortress, we will process the points in your personal accounts."
Hearing Chief Instructor Yang’s words, Zhang Yi shook his head. It’d be a waste not to take what’s free.
Even if his remaining two hundred points could only get him a three-star Divine Domain Card, Zhang Yi couldn’t let them go to waste.
After that, Chief Instructor Yang made a gesture indicating it was time for him to leave. Zhang Yi took the hint and left the office, returning to his own room.
Back in his room, Zhang Yi opened his personal terminal and found that two people had sent him private messages. One was Instructor Li Qiantian from the Yanhuang Federal Region assessment, and the other was Lu Mei.
Zhang Yi opened their messages one by one to see what they had sent.
The message from Instructor Li Qiantian read: "Zhang Yi, are you free tonight? After the admissions office of the Tianya Academy Central Campus learned about the strength you demonstrated during the third round of the exchange tournament at the University Alliance Training Camp, they not only praised my sharp eye for talent in selecting a genius like you from among the many students in the Yanhuang Federal Region, but they’re also prepared to add some clauses to the contract we originally discussed. Of course, these aren’t restrictive clauses, but ones that are favorable to you. If you’re free tonight, we could meet."
Seeing the sincere message from Instructor Li Qiantian, Zhang Yi couldn’t help but feel a little emotional. The admissions office of the Tianya Academy Central Campus sure moves fast! I just got back to the Yanhuang Federation First War Fortress today, and they already have a revised contract ready with extra, more favorable terms.
After reading Instructor Li Qiantian’s message proposing a meeting, Zhang Yi naturally decided to accept. After all, Instructor Li Qiantian had specifically stated that Tianya Academy’s new contract proposal included many additional clauses in his favor. The reason for these favorable clauses was entirely due to the ability as a conductor and the strength he had displayed during the third round of the exchange tournament. Faced with such a good opportunity falling right into his lap, Zhang Yi certainly couldn’t turn it down.
He sent a message back to Instructor Li Qiantian, arranging to meet at seven o’clock that evening.
Then, Zhang Yi opened the message from Lu Mei: "Are you free tonight? Before we go back, let’s talk..."
Zhang Yi had a guess as to Lu Mei’s purpose in sending this message, so he replied with eight o’clock, an hour after Instructor Li Qiantian was scheduled to arrive. Zhang Yi estimated that he and Instructor Li Qiantian could finish discussing the additional clauses in half an hour. That would leave him with another half an hour to spare—more than enough time.
At seven o’clock that evening, there was a knock on the door of Zhang Yi’s room in the Yanhuang Federation First War Fortress. Zhang Yi walked over and opened it. Instructor Li Qiantian was standing outside, a congratulatory smile on his face.
"Congratulations, congratulations, Lieutenant Zhang Yi!" Instructor Li Qiantian entered the room and closed the door behind him, his face beaming. "According to the military rank bestowed upon you by the Federation Military, I should be calling you Lieutenant Zhang Yi now, shouldn’t I?"
Hearing Instructor Li Qiantian’s joking words, Zhang Yi didn’t answer directly, instead gesturing for him to have a seat. After entering the room, Instructor Li Qiantian laughed heartily as he looked for a place to sit.
