Chapter 855 - 566: The Light Deity’s Divine Kingdom and the Void Nebula
Chapter 855: Chapter 566: The Light Deity’s Divine Kingdom and the Void Nebula
One, two, three...
Raylo’s breath almost stopped.
A full twelve! Thirteen... Twelve-winged Angels of Death! Raylo gasped sharply, feeling as if the blood in his entire body was about to freeze.
Just by sitting on this Meteorite for a few hours, he had witnessed the deployment of over ten World Destruction Level Angels of Death from just one of the three War Fortresses, along with the patrols of hundreds of Catastrophe Level Angels of Death! And this was only what he could see!
How many more were hidden within those three War Fortresses? How many more were concealed within the Divine Kingdom where the Light Deity resided?
He instinctively looked at the Austin Sage beside him. This Mage leader, who had always been so calm and composed as if everything were under his control, now wore an unprecedentedly grim expression.
"We are in huge trouble," the Sage uttered slowly, his voice dry. "The strength and foundation of this Light Deity... far exceed our imagination."
The disguised Meteorite, like a speck of cosmic dust that had wandered for millions of years, slowly brushed past the golden Domain of the Divine Kingdom. The distance between them was silently closing. Raylo’s heartbeat slowed. Sitting in the shadow of a crater, he temporarily held his breath.
Just when he thought this thrilling surveillance was about to end without a hitch, a sudden change occurred. The patrol squad, led by a Twelve-winged Angel of Death, was preparing to return to the War Fortress.
In the moment they passed the Meteorite, the leading Twelve-winged Angel of Death stopped without warning and slightly tilted his head. As if sensing that the rock was too close, his gaze shifted toward the exact Meteorite where Raylo and the Sage were hiding.
They had been discovered!
Raylo’s muscles instantly tensed. Even though they were protected by the Austin Sage’s Concealing Technique, Raylo couldn’t help but feel a wave of panic. This was the territory of the Light Deity’s Divine Kingdom; if they were caught, the consequences would be unimaginable.
The Twelve-winged Angel made his move. He simply raised his hand, and the dozen or so Six-winged Angels behind him immediately understood. They instantly spread out, approaching the Meteorite at high speed.
"Let’s go," the Austin Sage’s dry voice transmitted into Raylo’s Sea of Spiritual.
As his voice faded, Austin gently swept his sleeve.
HUM!
Space turned into flowing water in that moment. A second later, his and the Sage’s figures vanished from the Meteorite without a trace.
Almost at the exact instant they disappeared, the Twelve-winged Angel of Death drew his sword and slashed down. A beam of golden sword light tore through the dark void. The Meteorite, over five hundred meters in diameter, shattered instantly.
Meanwhile, the Austin Sage had already taken Raylo through several Space Flashes, appearing thousands of miles away. He didn’t even look back at the strike that was powerful enough to obliterate a Catastrophe Level powerhouse. His figure didn’t pause for a moment as he took another step forward.
Another Space Flash.
Only after three consecutive, uninterrupted jumps did the prickling sensation on their backs finally fade away completely.
The Austin Sage’s figure emerged in a realm of absolute darkness and dead silence. He stopped, his expression even heavier than the void behind him.
"Observing only from the outside is ultimately just scratching the surface," the Sage’s voice echoed in Raylo’s Sea of Spiritual, carrying a trace of resolve. "The strength of that Twelve-winged Angel we just encountered is on par with my own. Under the command of the Light Deity, there are absolutely more entities like him than the dozen or so we just saw."
Raylo nodded, still reeling from the lingering fear.
"We must find a way to test his true strength," the Austin Sage said, slowly closing his eyes.
The next moment, majestic and boundless Spiritual Power centered around him, sweeping frantically through the void in all directions like a silent tsunami! Wherever this Spiritual Power passed, faint ripples formed in space, and countless pieces of information hidden within the void were revealed.
Right at that moment, from the direction they had come, several imperceptible golden dots of light appeared once more, magnifying at a terrifying speed!
The Angels of Death had caught up! Raylo’s heart tightened.
However, the Austin Sage acted as if he hadn’t noticed. He remained with his eyes closed, sensing something, allowing those lethal dots of light to rapidly close in on their line of sight.
Ten thousand miles... a thousand miles... a hundred miles...
Raylo could even clearly see the cold faces of the leading Twelve-winged Angels. Just a second before the enemy was about to enter their attack range, the Austin Sage finally opened his eyes!
Within his eyes, it was as if billions of Stars were being born and destroyed. Countless streams of information were filtered and integrated in a split second.
"Found it," he uttered, his face regaining its previous calm composure.
Looking at the pursuers who were already close at hand, the Sage unhurriedly swept his sleeve again, enveloping Raylo. "Let’s go. I’m taking you somewhere."
With a flash of streaming light, the two vanished once more.
A violent torrent of golden Holy Light exploded right where they had just disappeared, completely turning that pocket of space into an ocean of destructive energy.
This journey was even longer than when they had utilized the void undercurrents earlier. The Austin Sage seemed to have locked onto an extremely distant target. The distance of each space jump far exceeded the previous ones, taking Raylo on a frantic traverse through the endless void.
About an hour later, the Austin Sage finally stopped his continuous space jumps. Unfolding before their eyes was a magnificent spectacle beyond imagination.
It was an incomparably massive Nebula.
Magnificent purple, dreamy blue, fiery red...
