Chapter 613: Chapter 449: The Appearance of the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon and the Fall of the Six-armed Snake Demon
A few seconds later, the distant skyline suddenly lit up.
A blinding flash of lightning flared.
A Sea of Thunderbolt covering half the sky was spreading from the depths of the swamp at a speed visible to the naked eye.
"RUMBLE!"
A deep, rolling thunder approached, as if ancient war chariots were rumbling across the sky.
Everyone felt a terrifying, suffocating pressure coming from the direction of that sea of thunder.
At the center of that sea of thunder, an unimaginably massive silhouette flickered in and out of view.
It was the shadow of a snake. The mere section of its body visible through the clouds was a thousand meters long.
It churned the thunderclouds, and countless thick bolts of lightning slithered across its body.
"The Nine-headed Demon Serpent... a clone of that Demon Serpent is here!"
Gaius’s expression changed drastically.
"It actually made a move itself!"
On the battlefield, all the soldiers and Knights stopped in their tracks, staring in horror at the apocalyptic scene in the distance.
That pressure far surpassed any Domain Level Powerhouse they had ever seen.
Gaius swallowed hard and looked at Raylo beside him.
"Your Highness..."
’It’s finally here!’
A sharp glint flashed in Raylo’s eyes as he took something from his clothes.
It was a palm-sized Dragon Scale, cyan-green all over.
He infused his Fighting Spirit into the Dragon Scale.
The cyan Dragon Scale emitted a soft glow, then turned into a puff of cyan smoke and dissipated into the air.
The next second, the entire world seemed to hit pause.
Then, a gentle breeze materialized from thin air, rustling the corner of Raylo’s robes.
The wind grew stronger, quickly becoming a gale that made everyone’s clothes flap wildly.
Raylo raised his head and looked toward the other side of the sky.
Opposite the Sea of Thunderbolt, in the other, empty half of the sky, clouds began to gather frantically.
A storm of unparalleled size was forming. Within the roiling clouds, the silhouette of a Giant Dragon, also a thousand meters long, slowly materialized.
The sky was split in two.
On the left was a ceaselessly churning ocean of thunder, where violet lightning danced wildly and the deep rumbles numbed one’s eardrums.
On the right was a howling, gathering cyan storm. A Vortex connected heaven and earth, and furious winds scoured the land, kicking up countless clouds of dust and stone.
The two completely different, cataclysmic powers faced off above the clouds. The mere aura leaking from them made the Domain Level Powerhouses below feel a tremor in their hearts.
The massive silhouettes of the Demon Serpent and the Giant Dragon, large enough to block half the sky, roiled within the cataclysms they had each conjured. The occasional glimpse of a scale or a claw would trigger a drastic change in the heavens.
"Your Highness, that is..."
Gaius looked up at the sky, his face a mask of shock.
Raylo withdrew his gaze from the horizon. He patted the neck of Lightning beneath him, his tone calm.
"The war in the sky is not for us to meddle in."
He turned his attention back to the Six-armed Snake Demon not far away.
"Let’s deal with this one in front of us first."
The Six-armed Snake Demon also clearly understood that with the appearance of the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon in the clouds, its master’s clone had no time to spare for it.
It snapped back to its senses, a ferocious light reigniting in its eyes.
Besieged by five Domain Level opponents at once, it knew its situation was precarious.
"ROAR!"
The Six-armed Snake Demon roared. Its six arms moved like the wind, the six Treasure Sabers in its hands transforming into an impenetrable net of blades that shielded it securely at the center.
Countless streams of Sword Qi crisscrossed, forming an unbreakable domain that would instantly shred any attack that drew near.
"This creature is fighting for its life."
Gaius’s expression was grave. He could feel the rate at which the creature was consuming its Domain Power; this was a desperate, all-or-nothing posture.
Raylo didn’t rush to attack. He circled high in the sky on Lightning, his gaze sweeping across the entire battlefield.
His eyes passed over the chaotic melee and landed on other parts of the battlefield.
Over there, several other Domain Level auras were present—the other powerhouses of the Snake-man Race.
For instance, there was Blood River, who reeked of blood and fought in the air as if riding a giant, blood-colored serpent.
And there was the Three-headed Snake Monster, Blood Throat, whose three heads each spewed a different kind of Magic.
They were still locked in fierce battles with their own opponents.
But now, not only were they not coming to aid the besieged Six-armed Snake Demon, but they also seemed to be subtly distancing themselves from the core of the battlefield.
A playful smile touched the corner of Raylo’s mouth.
He said to Gaius beside him.
"Gaius, look over there."
Gaius followed Raylo’s gesture and quickly noticed the abnormality.
"No faction is a monolith. They’re watching the fire from across the river—is this our chance?"
Just then, a heavy, rhythmic tremor ran through the ground.
"THUD! THUD! THUD!"
It was as if a herd of Giant Beasts was on the run.
Raylo looked back and saw a tall legion crossing half the battlefield, heading their way.
Leading them was none other than the Hill Giant, Kado.
Behind him, over a hundred Hill Giants, each more than ten meters tall, marched in unison. They smashed aside any Snake-men blocking their path, crossing half the battlefield to arrive.
"Kado! Perfect timing!"
Raylo shouted.
"Let this creature have a taste of your strength!"
"ROAR!"
Kado beat his chest, letting out a sky-shaking roar in response.
He led the Giant Legion to a halt a hundred meters away from the Six-armed Snake Demon.
"Javelins, ready!"
Kado gave the order.
Over a hundred Hill Giants drew their Javelins from their backs in perfect unison.
"Loose!"
As Kado’s arm swung down, over a hundred Javelins became a black cloud, hurtling toward the Six-armed Snake Demon with air-tearing shrieks that blotted out the sky.
