Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3891: The Various Gods

Chapter 3891: The Various Gods

There were several Gods inside the room, most of whom had only just arrived recently, from what Alex could tell.

Besides Bladedance and the Sky God, the only other person who had arrived before today was the Mind God. Wildvines, the Forest God, was nowhere to be seen.

Alex glanced toward the Mind God for a moment, wondering if he was here to sift through the lies from the truths he would be forced to speak today. He had been told in passing how to bypass his detection, but he couldn’t be sure that he would succeed.

He ignored the Mind God and looked at the newcomers.

He recognized the Winter God, Snowchild, from back when he was in the Eclipsing Heaven realm and the Alchemy Tournament. That had been the first time he had come across a Half God and had nearly mistaken his reverence for the person as an instance of immediate affection.

It wasn’t until he understood what Half Gods were that he realized that his heart hadn’t been moved by her beauty at all.

Her black hair, frosted at the tips, fell straight around her shoulders like a waterfall. She wore a soft blue robe, covered entirely by what could only be called winter clouds.

Next to the Winter God sat another Celestial that Alex had never seen before. However, since he held no Half God aura, Alex could immediately tell that he was one of the two Celestials among the 33 Gods who hadn’t arrived.

Since the War God’s older brother, the Array God, had already claimed that he wouldn’t be coming, this could only be the other person.

The Spear God. Cloudedge.

Alex trusted his own instincts about the man, as he could sense a sharpness about him that surpassed ordinary aura. Alex had a feeling that the sharpness he felt around the man was, in fact, his Axiom.

He was a tall, lean man wearing a black robe with short, curled white hair. At the moment, he looked rather relaxed, with no open interest or disinterest in Alex.

That couldn’t be said for Dustvenom, the Poison God. His ashen-white face and purple lips were quite striking and unmistakable. Their very first meeting had ended quite poorly when he tried to force Momo to give up on Alex as her master in order to become a disciple under him.

Back then, he had said that a God like him could not have a disciple who shared someone like Alex as a master. Today, Alex stood before the man as a Half God. Though not for long, Alex wondered how this man felt when thinking about back then.

Alex’s gaze moved to the woman with the Blood aura, who was no doubt Crimsonstar, the current Blood God. There were only so many female Gods to begin with, and aside from Grandvein, the Stone God, everyone else had already arrived.

And this Divine Domain realm woman could not be the Stone God. So, by process of elimination, Alex could tell that she was the Blood God. Though, she might as well have said it out loud by the way she looked.

She was a beautiful woman with fair skin, scarlet eyes, and similarly bright red lips. She wore a crimson robe, and her long, wavy hair was blood red as well. She hadn’t appeared quite as interested when he first arrived, but as the seconds passed, her expression was changing.

No doubt, she had sensed the Blood aura inside Alex. Even though he had tried his best to hide the Heavenly Beasts’ bloodlines, he couldn’t hide the potency of his Blood aura itself.

And she had noticed that.

Though, at this point, there was no reason to worry about her at all, since the real threat was the man who sat between her and the Poison God.

The Fire God, Ashmaker, held a quiet, burning rage in his eyes that didn’t reach the rest of his face just yet. He wore a pristine red and yellow robe that seemed to be on fire at all times, embers slowly spreading like wildfire without actually damaging the robe itself. His short hair was fiery red, tipped with yellow.

Alex saw no crown on his head, though he had to have it on him.

After looking through everyone, he lowered his head slightly in a bow.

"Greetings, everyone."

"Dawnblade, was it?" the Fire God asked as he looked Alex up and down. "Our Destroyer, as they say."

Everyone looked toward the Fire God, none speaking a word when he did. They all understood what was going on there, so they let the two deal with it.

Alex remained silent, simply waiting for the Fire God to continue with what he wanted to say.

"Quite a show you put on there when I arrived. Were you aware I was going to come, and that’s why you learned the Dao of Purging?" he asked. "I must say, even I haven’t learned that Dao. You must be quite talented to be able to learn it. Though I suppose it makes sense that you wouldn’t be a Half God without it."

"I wasn’t aware you were coming," Alex answered. "I simply learned it for my own benefit."

"Oh? Surely it has a little to do with wanting to prove that you deserve the title you’ve got," the Fire God said.

Alex straightened his stance, looking straight at the Fire God. "I don’t need to prove myself to anyone. I know I deserve this title. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t have received it."

The anger in the Fire God’s eyes nearly spread across the rest of his face, but he quickly held himself back.

"Quite fiery, isn’t he?" he asked, turning to look at Bladedance. "I can imagine why you took him as your disciple."

"His talent is why I took him as my disciple," Bladedance said.

"Talent, huh?" the Fire God asked before turning toward Alex. "Tell me, if you had the choice, what would you rather have? Talent or Power?"
