Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3812: A New Follower

Chapter 3812: A New Follower

When Sunflare said he was going to go wherever Alex was going, Alex hadn’t realized the man meant quite literally everywhere.

As Alex left the palace, Sunflare followed him, walking along with him.

"Uhh... senior? Are you really going to follow me all the way?" he asked.

"Of course," the man said. "You have our god. I need to look after you so you don’t accidentally die or get kidnapped."

"That won’t happen," Alex said. "I’m just returning to my home."

"I don’t mind where you’re going. I shall go to your home too," Sunflare said.

"Well, I mind, senior."

Sunflare gave a shrug. "I don’t care if you mind. I will follow you either way."

Alex wanted to say something, but he held himself back. If this man was going to be this insistent on following him, then there was nothing he could tell him to get him to leave.

After a while, Alex finally reached his courtyard. As he entered, Sunflare followed behind as well.

The soldiers tried to stop him from entering, but Sunflare gave a single strong glance, and they could find no words to say. Against a Celestial, all they could do was relay the message to the Sky God.

Sunflare entered the courtyard along with Alex and looked around at the place. "There are many people here. You said this was your house?"

"Yes," Alex said. "My family lives here."

"Hmm..."

The man didn’t say anything more.

Hannah walked out of her room with a strange expression on her face. She had noticed the Celestial aura the moment he had walked in and come out. She didn’t recognize the man at all, which was a given.

"This is senior Sunflare of the Nine Yang Court," Alex introduced immediately. "He will... probably be staying with us for some time."

"The Nine Yang Court?" Hannah asked in surprise. She bowed toward Sunflare. "Greetings, senior. I am Dragonheart."

Sunflare nodded. He ignored Hannah and followed Alex as he continued walking in.

"Alex, are you back?" a voice came from inside as Helen walked out. "I need to— oh, a guest."

Alex paused and quickly introduced Helen to the man. "This is my mother."

"Your mother?" the man said, a little surprised. Though Alex could tell his surprise was more so in regard to her cultivation than anything else.

Graham walked out a moment later, hearing the commotion. Sunflare’s eyes went toward the man, and for a moment he was genuinely taken aback. Somehow, the man before him didn’t have a cultivation base in the Immortal realm, and yet he could tell just by standing there that he was indeed an Immortal.

"A Body Cultivation Immortal?" the man asked.

"This is my father, senior," Alex said. "Everyone, this is senior Sunflare of the Nine Yang Court."

"I see," Sunflare said a moment later. "You two are interesting in and of yourselves, so it makes sense your son would be interesting as well."

Helen didn’t know how to react. After a moment, she got her wits back.

"We have a guest. Please bring him in."

"No," Sunflare said. "I don’t need any hospitality. I am here to look after what belongs to the Nine Yang Court. You may treat me as though I do not exist."

"Something that belongs to the court?" she asked with a confused look. "My son?"

"Senior means the Nine Yang Divine Tree inside of my Soul Space, mother," Alex quickly explained. "It’s as senior says. You should continue with what you were doing as if he isn’t here."

There was nothing more Alex could do in the first place.

"Uhh..." Helen looked at the Celestial, then at Alex, and only after Alex nodded did she feel that it was fine to leave him be.

"I will probably be cultivating for some time, senior. You truly don’t have to stay here," Alex said.

"As I said, don’t mind me," Sunflare said, saying nothing more.

"Well, in that case, I have a request of you, senior," Alex said. "Please try not to interfere in anything I or my family does, unless you have to."

Sunflare let out a sharp snort. "That had always been my intention. You don’t have to tell me what to do."

Alex wasn’t fazed by his words and simply nodded in thanks. Since he was getting ready to cultivate again, he called over Ronron. At the same time, he let everyone know that they could cultivate inside of his Soul Space if they wanted to.

Immediately, several people were gathered outside the courtyard, each one having decided on what they wanted to do.

Sunflare was left confused as to why so many people were suddenly gathering there. He looked toward Ronron, his eyes immediately narrowing.

"Wait, aren’t you Newheaven’s disciple?" he asked.

"Ah, senior Sunflare. How have you been?" Ronron asked.

"I’m doing fine. What are you doing in this place? Did you come to get someone?" he asked.

"No. This is my home," Ronron answered.

Sunflare blinked in surprise. "Your house? But I was told it was his house," he said, pointing to Alex.

"Yes. It’s our house," Ronron said. "That’s my father."

Sunflare could hardly understand what was going on. Was this a case of nepotism he didn’t understand? Why was the one who called herself Sky God taking in the daughter of the one claiming to be the Sun God as her own disciple?

If any other god were to take in the child of another god as a disciple, it would be madness. And yet, these people treated it as though nothing weird was happening.

Suddenly, 3 more people appeared out of nowhere.

Sunflare could barely tell that they had come from Alex’s Soul Space. There were people living there? Had they always been? How was he walking around with people in his Soul Space?

"Who’s going in this time?" Alex asked, and several people joined.

Then, one by one, they all went into his Soul Space. And yet, Alex’s expression changed not once.

Alex finally turned toward Sunflare.

"I will be retreating to my quarters for closed cultivation, senior. I hope you won’t get bored all alone."
