Chapter 3780: The Greatest

Jin Yuelan believed there was a chance he could win this. No matter how small that chance was, there was one. Alex’s cultivation base just wasn’t high enough, so there was a definite chance of him overextending his boundaries by letting all 9 pill lightning strikes fall down on his pills and failing on the last ones.

He knew the chances were low, but he held out hope.

However, when he finally completed the pill, he couldn’t even make one that called forth the Pill Clouds. He didn’t bother checking how good it was.

Jin Yuelan finally looked away from his cauldron and toward Alex, who had long since returned everything back to his Soul Space, holding onto his pill that was clearly the same as his. The only difference between them was the pill veins.

He let out a sigh in the end. "You win, Brother Dawnblade," he said as he handed over the star.

Alex grabbed the star. "I would appreciate it if you called me the Sun God instead."

The man gave a strange look but said nothing else.

Alex could only shake his head. He put away the star, knowing this one didn’t count. Maybe the rest would.

"Who else wants to challenge me?" he asked.

A woman from the Hidden Orchid Palace stepped forward. Alex had never really met the woman before, so he waited for her to introduce herself. However, she seemed more interested in getting to the challenge immediately.

"I will challenge you to a battle of Weapon Intent," the woman said. "Will you accept?"

Alex’s eyes narrowed. He looked around the group, noticing Su Nian there. He should’ve known what Alex was capable of.

"Just so you know, you will lose in that," he told the woman.

"I’ve heard some things. I want to test if they are correct," the woman said.

Alex could only shrug. "Okay, I accept. Please refer to me as the Sun God, and I will go easy on you."

The woman nodded. "If you say so, Sun God."

Alex smiled. He brought out his sword and created a Sword Domain around himself immediately. The woman’s eyes narrowed slightly.

"That’s... quite strong."

"It is," Alex said. "Your sect uses sabers, don’t they? I don’t doubt you are capable of using Saber Domain, so please go ahead and use it."

The woman brought out a silver saber, holding it before her at an angle. Saber Qi came to life around her, quickly surrounding her. She let out a deep breath, concentrating on the domain as she forced more Saber Qi to come into existence.

The immediate vicinity around her was no different from a raging storm.

Alex was rather impressed by her showing. "Are you able to go further?" he asked.

The woman shook her head.

"Then do you wish to contend with our domains alone?" he asked. "Let’s see whose domain is stronger."

The woman thought for a moment and shook her head. "I want you to show me what they tell me you’re really capable of."

Alex blinked. "But doing so will mean that you will lose immediately."

"I don’t mind," the woman answered.

Alex was rather impressed by her words and did as she asked. The domain immediately lifted off him and moved farther away, cleanly separating.

Many of the people in the group let out sounds of shock as they all recognized it for what it was.

Sword Heart.

It wasn’t every day they got to see something so impressive, especially from someone who was in the Immortal realm, so they had to accept the fact that Alex was in fact one of the greatest cultivators of the younger generation with that alone.

Considering his previous display of Alchemy, it wouldn’t be a stretch to call him the best, but that was up for debate. Cultivation base mattered just as much, after all.

The woman put away her saber. They didn’t need to actually fight for her to know that she had in fact lost. While this was supposed to be an actual fight, she found no reason to continue.

"Thank you, Sun God," she said and handed her star away before walking away.

Alex was happy this time around. This was another star he could put toward the 5000 stars Ronron had asked him for. He wasn’t that far away from completing it now. It was less than a few hundred.

Alex looked at the rest of the group, where 31 of them had yet to challenge him. "Can I ask why you think I may win this whole thing?" he asked. "To be honest, I really haven’t tried a lot."

The group looked at each other, each searching for an answer. Fang Xianhai spoke up to give him the answer he deserved.

"You may not be trying hard, but it is a fact that you have the advantage in most of the battles. Not only are you strong, you also have a variety of skills that can benefit you in random battles that are set by our seniors. If this continues, we will be forced to come across each other, and in those instances, you will win," he said. "For that reason alone, we’ve come to take from you all the stars we can. Although, we seem to be failing at doing so."

Everyone held strange expressions as they all failed to figure out how they could win.

Fang Xianhai looked back. "May I ask what this Sun God thing is that you keep asking people to call you?"

"It’s not a thing. I am the Sun God. I’m just spreading that information as best I can," Alex said.

Fang Xianhai’s eyes narrowed. "And if we call you as such, you’re willing to let us have a chance?"

"I’m willing to not overpower you all to a point where it might be humiliating," Alex said.

Fang Xianhai nodded. "In that case, if we call you as such, will you fight us in a way where we have a chance at victory?"
