Chapter 3731: Second Month
A week wasn’t enough time to learn a Dao. Even the most talented individual couldn’t learn enough to stay in the trial in just a week if they had to do so from scratch. So, Alex could only be thankful that he did not have to start it all from scratch.
Alex had already learned about the Dao of Mist from the room with the cloud, and now he only needed to learn enough so that he could continue staying behind.
He focused on the mist that surrounded him for the next full week, wasting not a single second. And then, when the month ended, he could prove to the voice that he had indeed learned enough to be allowed to stay there.
Many had to have left by now, causing Alex to wonder what the situation was with the others. Had they lasted until now, or were they sent away?
After much consideration, Alex decided to make use of this opportunity to learn the Daos he could and apologized in his heart to anyone who had to wait for him for another month.
He made a few pills to use again and quickly ate one before returning to the wonderful state through which he could extract the truths of this world.

Liz stood from her seat, slightly frowning as she failed to learn the Dao she had been given.
She stared at the mural of a giant beast breaking out of the ground, emanating the Dao of Hardness.
She had used the pill Alex had given her before she entered, and that had helped her learn a lot regarding the aura inside the painting. When she had first entered, she hadn’t even been aware that this was the Dao of Hardness at all. It was only after some time that she came to understand it.
The pill had helped her progress a lot in the single month, but that hadn’t been enough to learn a Dao. Unfortunately, while she had made it through the first month, she had ended up failing in the second month.
As such, she now had to walk out.
Liz sighed and made her way out, quickly leaving the trial site. Outside, a good few thousand people were awaiting their turn to enter. It wouldn’t be more than a few hours from now before the site opened up for more people.
She searched around the place for anyone she could find. Helen, Ronron, or Alex. But it became quickly apparent to her that of the three, she was the least talented when it came to comprehending things.
Liz sighed. "I might’ve done better if I had been given Time Dao to learn."
Unfortunately for her, that was not the case with this place at all. All the different locations only held Elemental Daos, and as such, she had failed.
She waited for a while to see if anyone came out, and while she did see three of the younger people from the group that had formed there 2 months ago, no one she cared about came out.
So, based on the decision they had made before everyone entered, Liz pulled out her star and looked for the direction where she could get some more stars next.
The closest one was a Yellow spot, so she left the place and flew toward it.

The statue of a large lion with a beautiful fibrous mane and a thick body lay before Helen and a few people.
The body of the lion was made of pure bronze. The fibrous mane was made of thin metal wires attached around the metal statue. And its tail was a thin rod that was bent but not broken.
The entire body was polished to a near mirror finish, allowing each and every person in the room to see themselves in its body when looking at it.
The statue emanated several different Metal auras, only one of which Helen had learned before now.
It was the Dao of Metal. What she was trying to learn were the Dao of Ductility, the Dao of Malleability, the Dao of Reflection, and the Dao of Alloy. She had varying degrees of understanding in all 4 Daos at once, with the best being in the Dao of Malleability, which had allowed her to stay inside for 2 months already.
The entire 2 months, she had learned little by little on all fronts, gaining just enough understanding where she could be sure that she could stay. And then, she had reached a point where she had learned more than enough. All she needed now was a single push.
That push came in the form of the pill Alex had given her before she entered. The entire 2 months, she had survived the trial all on her own.
So now, she used the help she had received.
Helen ate the Grand Tranquility Pill and focused back on the statue as she wanted to get it done now.

Ronron frowned as the voice allowed her to stay for one more month.
2 months had passed, and she hadn’t gained any result she was satisfied with. She had long since learned 2 Greater Daos within the True Wood Dao.
Those were the Greater Dao of Wind and the Greater Dao of Sound. Of the many Daos her master had forced her to learn, those were the Daos that had come naturally to her, while she had to force herself to learn the rest.
The frustration of not being able to learn another Dao had only added to the frustration from before she had even sat down.
After seeing her grandmother and father go through the artifact, she had come to realize that she had made a mistake when she registered her Daos.
She only found out later that even the Daos she had not learned separately could still be used.
As such, what should’ve been closer to 30 different pings had ended up being only 15.
So now, even as she came close to understanding the Dao of Paralysis from the artifact that shot out tiny bolts of lightning before her, she would only receive half the stars she truly deserved.
