Chapter 775 - 380: Even More Powerful
Chapter 775: Chapter 380: Even More Powerful
Sun Yang’s Pulse Gun unleashed an even more ferocious barrage. Pulse Energy Beams, like cannonballs, bombarded the men in black, blasting them into a bloody pulp.
Bai Lin provided long-range support from the rear. His light weapon had a faster rate of fire and higher precision. Like a Ghost, he reaped the lives of the men in black in the darkness.
The Insect Hunter Squad’s coordination was more seamless than ever, their combat power even greater. The men in black were completely unable to withstand their assault and fell to the ground one after another, neutralized.
Seeing his men fall one by one, Blackbeard’s face turned livid, his eyes filled with shock and fury.
"Impossible! This is impossible! How can you be this strong!"
Blackbeard roared in disbelief, his voice filled with Despair.
"Nothing is impossible!"
Li Chang’an sneered. His figure flashed as he dodged an attack from one of the men in black, and with a backhanded swing of his Saw Chain Sword, he sliced the man in two.
Then, Li Chang’an began walking toward Blackbeard.
"You... What do you want?!"
Seeing Li Chang’an approaching him, Blackbeard panicked and asked, his voice trembling.
"What do I want? To send you to your grave, of course!"
Li Chang’an said, his tone icy. He slowly raised his Saw Chain Sword, its tip aimed at Blackbeard’s heart.
"No... Don’t... Don’t kill me... I can give you money... a lot of money... I can give you all the wealth in this entire base... I’m begging you... please don’t kill me..."
Terrified out of his wits, Blackbeard fell to his knees and begged for mercy, snot and tears streaming down his face. All of his earlier arrogance had vanished.
"Money? I’m not interested in your filthy money!"
Li Chang’an said icily, thrusting the Saw Chain Sword forward without hesitation.
SHUNK!
The Saw Chain Sword pierced straight through Blackbeard’s heart.
Blackbeard’s eyes widened, his face filled with indignation and fear. His body slowly slumped to the ground, completely devoid of Vitality.
Blackbeard, the leader of the Black Blood Mercenary Corps, had been utterly eliminated by the Insect Hunter Squad.
The battle was over.
The Insect Hunter Squad had once again achieved victory, cleanly and efficiently neutralizing the threat of the Black Blood Mercenary Corps.
"All done. Time to pack it up!"
Sun Yang whistled, saying smugly.
"This mission went pretty smoothly!"
Shen Qiuyue said, her tone calm.
"Yeah, it was simpler than I expected!"
Han Ruoxi nodded in agreement.
"Don’t let your guard down. The mission isn’t over yet!"
Li Chang’an warned, his gaze sweeping across the entire control center.
"This base must still hold a lot of secrets. We need to do a thorough search!"
"Bai, start analyzing the base’s data. See if there’s any valuable intelligence!"
Li Chang’an commanded.
"Understood!"
Bai Lin immediately sprang into action. He walked over to the command console, began operating the light-screen, and started analyzing the base’s data.
Meanwhile, Li Chang’an took Sun Yang, Han Ruoxi, and Shen Qiuyue to search the entire control center, leaving no corner unchecked.
Soon, they found some valuable items.
Large amounts of contraband, weapons, drugs, and even records of human trafficking.
"These pirates... their crimes are truly monstrous!"
Shen Qiuyue said, her voice icy as she looked at the human trafficking records, her eyes filled with loathing.
"Yeah. For scum like them, death is too good,"
Sun Yang added, his tone furious.
"Bai, find anything?"
Li Chang’an asked, walking over to Bai Lin.
"Yes, I’ve found some important information!"
Bai Lin said, pointing at the light-screen.
"This base isn’t just a place for illegal trades. It’s also a major stronghold for the Black Blood Mercenary Corps. They’ve stored large quantities of supplies and weapons here, and they’re also conducting some kind of secret experiments!"
"Secret experiments? What kind of experiments?"
Li Chang’an asked, his brow furrowing slightly.
"It looks like... bioweapon experiments!"
Bai Lin said, his tone grave.
"Bioweapon experiments?!"
Li Chang’an’s expression changed, his eyes turning serious.
"Are you sure?"
Li Chang’an pressed.
"Basically. I found some experiment logs and data, and also some... photos of the test subjects!"
As Bai Lin spoke, he pulled up a light-screen displaying several horrifying photos.
The photos showed humans who had been altered beyond recognition. Their bodies had been implanted with various mechanical and biological organs, making them look like monsters.
"Are these... the people they captured for their experiments?"
Han Ruoxi asked, her voice trembling and her face pale as she looked at the photos.
"Looks like it!"
Bai Lin nodded, his tone heavy.
"These Black Blood Mercenaries are completely depraved, experimenting on living people for their bioweapons!"
Shen Qiuyue said, seething with rage. Her grip on her sword tightened.
"We have to stop them! We absolutely cannot let them finish developing these bioweapons!"
Li Chang’an said, his voice firm and his eyes filled with resolve.
"Bai, can you find the location of the lab?"
Li Chang’an asked.
"Analyzing now. The lab should be in a deeper part of the base. The control center’s data doesn’t have a specific address, I’ll need to search further!"
Bai Lin replied.
"Hurry. We have to find that lab as quickly as possible and stop their experiments!"
Li Chang’an commanded, his tone urgent.
"Understood!"
The squad members responded in unison and sprang into action again, beginning a meticulous search of the control center for clues about the lab’s location.
Bai Lin’s fingers flew across the light-screen.
"Found it! The lab is on the lowest level of the base, deep underground!"
