Sun Xiurong shook her head slightly at his shameless behavior. "Junior Brother, you should exercise some caution when dealing with her. She is Elder Yin’s beloved disciple. I mean that quite literally. Their relationship has never been concealed.."
Lin Feng was slightly surprised upon hearing that. This was not something he had expected. He had initially suspected that she might have some connection to Zhe Peng, but it seemed she might truly have approached him without any ulterior motive.
As far as he could tell, he hadn’t sensed even the slightest trace of hostility from Yin Qianshui. In fact, the feeling she gave him was quite different. She seemed genuinely curious about him, and there didn’t appear to be any hidden malice behind that curiosity.
"What was her name, Senior Sister?"
Sun Xiurong narrowed her eyes slightly. "Why do you wish to know, Junior Brother?"
Lin Feng was speechless under her scrutinizing gaze. He could only shake his head with a faint smile.
"Forget it, Senior Sister... Tell me, what mission did you choose?"
Sun Xiurong sighed inwardly. She really needed to restrain herself. This sort of reaction was unlike her.
"Her name is Ye Lian. As for my mission, I have to oversee a section of the Spirit Stone Mine for a week.."
Lin Feng raised his eyebrows slightly. "Does that mean you’ll be leaving the sect? I doubt you will be permitted to leave without a protector now, Senior Sister.."

"Let’s go, then.."

The two soon left the Mission Pavilion and headed in the direction of Sword Pavilion, leaving behind a group of confused onlookers who finally began speaking openly.

There was another matter that troubled her.
If her Junior Brother’s talent was truly greater than hers, then why was he not the one her master had predicted would bear the title of Heavenly Genius? Why was she going to be the one holding that... or maybe he was already the one, and it was just unknown to others.
"Senior Sister, it is nothing serious. I simply wanted to meet Senior Qi and discuss something with her. There is no need to worry about it. I am not in any hurry.."
Sun Xiurong nodded, but her mind was still clouded with her previous thoughts.
It took a little while given their pace before Lin Feng saw a huge opening in the ground, beneath a giant mountain. It looked like a mouth of a hungry beast instead of an entrance of a pit.
At the edge of the entrance, there were a few Pavilions with a noticeable number of cultivators present around them.
"We arrived, Junior Brother. This is the biggest mine our sect holds, and if the information is true, then it might be the biggest in the whole Azure Province.
