Chapter 1283:- Anti Emperor Faction Discussion [I]

Chapter 1283: Chapter 1283:- Anti Emperor Faction Discussion [I]

Meanwhile, inside a much larger tent located near the centre of the Anti-Emperor Faction’s camp, an important meeting was taking place.

After the first day of the war had ended, everyone had been given some time to rest and recover their strength. The soldiers had eaten their dinner, the injured were receiving treatment, and the commanders had finished collecting the latest reports from the battlefield.

Now that everyone had eaten and rested properly, it was time to discuss their plans for tomorrow.

Inside the large tent, several important figures had gathered around a long wooden table. Among them were Boris, Malakor Harrington, Lou Han, and several of Aditya’s other powerful subordinates. The commanders responsible for leading the different divisions of the army were also present.

However, Aditya himself was not attending the meeting. Everyone already knew that he had suffered serious injuries during his battle against Andris. Since he was currently resting and recovering, nobody wanted to disturb him.

Furthermore, they believed that Aditya had already done more than enough for the first day of the war. The least they could do was handle the remaining preparations without troubling him.

At the moment, Boris appeared to be in an extremely good mood. The old man had been smiling ever since he entered the tent. In fact, he was so excited about the results of today’s battle that he could barely stop himself from grinning. For someone who had been preparing for this war for so long, the results of the first day were far better than anything he had expected.

Before the battle began, Boris had been mentally prepared for a long and difficult war. He had expected both factions to suffer heavy losses, and he had even considered the possibility that the fighting might continue for several weeks. However, Aditya’s arrival had completely changed everything.

The Emperor Faction had suffered such terrible losses that Boris was now confident that the war could be brought to an end tomorrow.

"Hahaha! I have to admit, today went much better than I expected!" Boris said with a wide grin.

Several commanders sitting around the table smiled upon hearing his words. They could understand why the old man was so happy. After all, their faction had gained an enormous advantage on the very first day of the war. Boris then took out a large map of the Northern Grassy Plains and spread it across the wooden table.

The map showed the surrounding terrain, the locations of the two camps, and several important areas that could be used during tomorrow’s battle. After making sure that everyone could see the map properly, Boris placed both hands on the table and looked at the people gathered around him.

"All right, everyone. Let’s begin." The conversations inside the tent immediately stopped.

Everyone turned their attention toward Boris. "First of all, I believe tomorrow will be the final day of this war." Boris announced confidently.

Although several people had already reached the same conclusion, hearing Boris say it so confidently still made them feel excited. After all, if everything went according to plan, they would finally be able to defeat Ren and bring the civil war to an end. This whole war will be over within two days, and everyone could return home.

However, Boris quickly raised his hand to stop anyone from speaking. He understood that some were too excited, but he did not want their excited to make them overconfident. "Before we discuss tomorrow’s battle, let’s first look at the damage that Ren’s army suffered today."

Boris pointed toward the section of the map representing the Emperor Faction’s position. "According to the latest reports, Ren’s side has suffered close to three hundred and fifty thousand casualties."

Hearing this number, several commanders exchanged surprised looks. Although they already knew that the Emperor Faction had suffered enormous losses, the latest estimate was still shocking. "Out of those three hundred and fifty thousand casualties, we can almost confirm that approximately three hundred thousand soldiers died on the battlefield."

"As for the remaining fifty thousand, they are soldiers who suffered injuries serious enough that they would normally be unable to participate in tomorrow’s battle."

Boris looked around the table before continuing his explanation. "However, I don’t believe Ren will allow all fifty thousand injured soldiers to remain behind."

Hearing this, one of the commanders frowned. "Why do you say that, Lord Boris?"

"Because Ren is running out of soldiers." Boris replied without hesitation.

He then pointed toward another section of the map. "Look at our current numbers. We originally gathered an army of approximately one million soldiers. After today’s battle, we still have close to nine hundred thousand soldiers who are ready to fight."

"And if we include our injured soldiers, our total number increases to approximately nine hundred and fifty thousand." In other words, although the Anti-Emperor Faction had also suffered losses during the first day of the war, they still possessed an enormous army.

Furthermore, many of their injured soldiers were expected to recover enough to return to the battlefield. Compared to the Emperor Faction, their situation was much better.

"Now, compare our numbers with Ren’s remaining forces. Ren has already lost most of the soldiers he brought to today’s battle. Even if he has additional troops waiting behind his main army, the difference between our available forces is still enormous."

Boris then explained, "Because of this, I believe Ren will order some of his injured soldiers to participate in tomorrow’s battle."

One of the commanders slowly nodded. "That makes sense. If he doesn’t have enough healthy soldiers, he will have no choice but to use the injured ones."

"Exactly!" Boris replied with a smile.

He then raised two fingers. "Out of those fifty thousand injured soldiers, I estimate that at least twenty-five thousand might still be capable of fighting."

"Of course, they won’t be in their best condition. Some will have injuries that make it difficult for them to move properly, while others might not be able to use their full strength. But if Ren is desperate enough, he will still send them to the battlefield."

After all, even an injured soldier could still hold a weapon and fight. And when an army was suffering from a serious shortage of soldiers, its commanders might decide that sending injured troops into battle was better than leaving them behind.

However, Boris did not appear worried about this possibility. In fact, his smile became even wider. "And that’s actually good news for us."

Hearing this, several commanders looked at him curiously. "Think about it. Those injured soldiers won’t be able to fight at their full strength. Their movements will be slower, their stamina will be lower, and many of them will have difficulty defending themselves properly."

"Our healthy soldiers will have a much easier time fighting against them." Although injured soldiers could still be dangerous, they were generally much less effective than soldiers who were completely healthy. Furthermore, if those injured soldiers were forced to fight before recovering properly, their injuries could become even worse.

Because of this, Boris believed that Ren’s decision to use injured soldiers would only make things easier for the Anti-Emperor Faction.

"Simply put, we don’t need to be too concerned about those injured troops." Boris said confidently. Even the Emperor faction would not have enough High star healing pills to give to everyone and perfectly bring the injured soldiers back to their 100% health.

"Our army still has a massive advantage in numbers, and many of our soldiers are in much better condition than the enemy. However, there’s something much more important that everyone needs to understand."

Hearing the sudden change in his tone, the commanders immediately became serious. Boris’s smile slowly disappeared as he continued. "Although our army has a huge advantage in numbers, that doesn’t mean tomorrow’s battle will be easy."

"In fact, I’m certain that Ren will bring out everything he has left."

Boris then looked toward Malakor Harrington and Lou Han. "That includes the remaining National Treasures of the Celestial Dragon Empire."

The atmosphere inside the tent immediately became more serious. Everyone understood just how dangerous those individuals were. After all, the National Treasures were among the strongest cultivators serving the Celestial Dragon Empire. Each of them possessed enough strength to greatly influence the outcome of a battle.

And although Aditya had managed to defeat Andris today, that did not mean the remaining National Treasures would be easy opponents. "I’m almost certain that tomorrow, Ren will personally appear on the battlefield with every National Treasure he can gather."

He then looked toward the Seventh Order cultivators sitting inside the tent. "Because of this, I want every Seventh Order cultivator on our side to mentally prepare themselves for a difficult battle."

"Tomorrow, you should expect to fight against powerful Seventh Order cultivators. And unlike today, the enemy might not hold anything back." The Seventh Order cultivators quietly nodded.

However, Boris was not finished. "There’s something else I want everyone to remember. The final outcome of this war won’t necessarily be decided by how many ordinary soldiers are left alive."

Hearing this, one of the commanders frowned. "Then what will decide the outcome?"

"The Seventh Order cultivators!" Boris replied immediately.

"Tomorrow’s battle will most likely be decided by which side has the most Seventh Order cultivators still standing at the end."
