Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5345: Meeting Called

Chapter 5345: Meeting Called

In a few hours, Mingzhi managed to learn the technique Davis taught.

She was familiar with Inscription Arts and the studies of Sky Word Language, so was able to quickly use the two runes together, and then manage to learn Davis’s circulation method for Heart Intent, allowing her to form an ever-ready barrier that would shield her from Will attacks.

"Amazing~" Mingzhi’s expression was filled with a bit of disbelief, "I didn’t know Heart Intent was capable of such wonders."

"Jeez, I would say we’re completely from the backwaters, only knowing to swim on the surface and not knowing how to ride or control the deepest waves."

Davis smiled wryly, "We seriously need to go to a power that focuses on learning Enigmatic Heart Laws and rob them clean. The Sky Word Emperor’s knowledge of Heart Intent that uses runes of Sky Word Language as a base, which I managed to learn, is limited but extremely powerful since most of the techniques require State of Divine Possession when using [IMPOSE]. Otherwise, it would fall short of the technique’s intended purpose. Only I would be able to use them for the time being. The Sky Word Emperor had left me basic and advanced rune techniques of Heart Intent. However, there should be many other applications of Heart Intent that we are unaware of."

Talking up to this point after drawing an impose rune and dispersing it, Davis sighed lightly, "I could obtain them all by refining desolate heavenly spacetime orbs, but that’s dangerous since I was warned it could break Universal Laws and get me- get us in serious trouble. This leaves us with the only place known as Mystic Heartveil Monastery, which seems to be a hidden sect in the Greater Realm that may have belonged to the Sky Word Emperor. That’s where his full inheritance lies, apparently, according to him anyway."

"Fascinating." Mingzhi’s eyes gleamed, "I really can’t tell if you were battling your heavenly tribulation strikes or striking a deal with them."

"Haha." Davis laughed lightly.

He couldn’t tell his wives about what happened in the Realm of Will, as that would bring only more questions. As far as they were concerned, they were to just know that he refined tribulation factors and managed to absorb the teachings left behind by the Sky Word Emperor through the Will.

"Alright, we’re past the time we’re supposed to meet Fairy Divinacia and the others. Let’s move."

Mingzhi stood up as she pulled him up.

"Did you call the others as well?"

"I will. For now, let’s see what Ophirya Kaelis has to say, and also you have to say. Then, we’ll see if they agree to whatever you cooked up for the betterment of the realm. No need to call everyone when they’re all spent and tired from the expedition to the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm or worried sick about you and pushed themselves for the past few weeks to strengthen themselves."

"I guess so."

Davis nodded.

In any case, the conversation didn’t need his wives to be present, but he would’ve liked to hear their opinion since this would be a big matter to decide all by himself. Of course, he had the ability to decide this matter all by himself, but considering they were the ones who cared the most about the place they had settled, he felt that this should be important to hear.

Nonetheless, he accepted Mingzhi’s decision since it wasn’t like whatever he planned while gazing at the drifting Wandera Catei Flower could be easily accomplished either.

Soon, Davis and Mingzhi arrived at the Meeting Hall.

Fairy Divinacia was as lovely as ever. Lest Mistwalker looked grumpy for some reason, while Ophirya Kaelis appeared to be in her human form.

When Davis walked in with Mingzhi, the three of them on the sideline seats stood up and clasped hands.

"Greetings, Your Majesty."

Davis walked past them before turning around and seating himself at the stone-cold death-attributed head seat coolly. Anyone else who tried to sit on it would probably end up sick in a few moments, although Nadia and her children were an exception.

"You can all be at ease and choose your preferable form, for example, Lest being a formation flag."

"I have always suspected myself to be one with how upright I am." Lest Mistwalker laughed.

"But wobbly when the wind strikes?" Mingzhi giggled.

Lest Mistwalker’s laughter turned dry, he wisely chose not to reply because he knew this woman was not only powerful but also witty with her tongue.

He’d be hard-pressed to defeat her, and would he dare defeat her in front of the Divine Emperor of Death?

Fairy Divinacia and Ophirya Kaelis smilingly shook their heads. They didn’t choose to transform into their true forms for various reasons. For one, even if Fairy Divinacia could shrink herself, she would still be a few hundred meters tall, and as for Ophirya Kaelis, she was well aware of human customs and believed responding to their etiquette was the best course of action.

"So Ophirya, whatever you have in mind, let me know if that’s feasible after hearing me out first."

"I understand, Your Majesty." Ophirya Kaelis bowed.

"Good." Davis nodded, "Lest Mistwalker, if you can complete this mission successfully, then a World Hegemon Grade Treasure is yours."

"...!"

Lest Mistwalker held his breath.

Whatever he had thought before- curious, confused, or held reservations- was all gone in an instant. Although he was practically a hired formation master, the Divine Emperor of Death had always been generous with the rewards and didn’t treat him wrongly, but never had he imagined that he would easily offer a World Hegemon Grade Treasure.

However, he quickly pulled himself out of his reverie and smiled forcefully, "And what does that entail?"

For a matter involving a World Hegemon Grade Treasure, he couldn’t help but wonder what kind of ridiculous formation the Divine Emperor of Death wanted. His excitement quickly left as it came, and the only emotion that remained was dread and self-blame, knowing he had walked into this one when he was originally here to listen, decline, and then talk about his little sister’s crush and the possibility of a marriage arrangement.

He had heard some rumors that stated Azariel was going to be sent to the Six-Headed Hydra Realm., which coincidentally didn’t bode well for his little sister.
