Chapter 2501: Inside Primordial Chaos
Chapter 2501: Inside Primordial Chaos
Seeing Zi Xuan slaughter magical beasts left and right, the Demon Annihilation Sword refused to simply stand by and also rushed forward to kill some on her own, subconsciously feeling a sense of rivalry with Zi Xuan without even realizing it herself.
Although the Demon Annihilation Sword specialized in slaying demons, it was still a masterpiece whose sharpness rivaled even Celestial-grade treasures.
However, unlike Zi Xuan, who could wield Supreme Sword Aura as naturally as breathing, the Demon Annihilation Sword couldn’t even use basic Sword Aura.
Yet, it did not lose to Zi Xuan and slayed magical beasts just as fast as her.
In just a few days, Yuan arrived at the second level of the Primordial Chaos.
While the first level had been mostly barren, filled with jagged mountains and rugged terrain, the second level began to show signs of vegetation. However, every tree there was dry, withered, and seemingly devoid of life.
Not only that, but the Chaotic Essence within the area had also become denser and far more abundant, while the magical beasts there had risen to the third level of God Ascension.
Of course, this wasn’t a problem for Zi Xuan, who was at the peak of God Ascension.
That being said, even though Zi Xuan could easily defeat the magical beasts, it was not as though she could recklessly expend her spiritual energy without consequence.
At the end of the day, unlike Yuan, she did not possess a Chaotic Heart and therefore could not naturally replenish her spiritual energy within the Primordial Chaos.
"Dear, I’m running low on spiritual energy," Zi Xuan said to Yuan once she could no longer defeat the magical beasts with a single strike.
Without saying a word, Yuan transferred some of his spiritual energy to Zi Xuan, allowing her to continue fighting at full strength.
Meanwhile, the Demon Annihilation Sword continued slaughtering the magical beasts through pure raw power alone, showing no signs of slowing down.
Although Zi Xuan was fully capable of doing the same, she deliberately chose to fight in her spirit form while using Supreme Sword Aura instead, as it had been far too long since she’d been able to properly exercise herself like this.
With two powerful existences protecting him, Yuan was able to travel through the Primordial Chaos without needing to slow down, appearing completely at ease the entire time.
In the blink of an eye, they arrived at the third level, where the scenery finally began showing more noticeable signs of life.
Yuan stopped moving for a moment to examine the plants and trees in the area.
"I think I have seen them in the Primal Expanse before..." he mumbled in a low voice.
Suddenly, Yuan’s eyebrows twitched as something else caught his attention, prompting him to turn his head toward the source.
"What’s wrong?" Zi Xuan asked when she couldn’t sense anything nearby.
"..."
A slight frown appeared on Yuan’s face as he replied in a cautious voice, "I sense Eternal Essence. Someone is using Eternal Essence ahead of us."
"There’s an Eternal nearby?!" Zi Xuan exclaimed in shock.
Yuan fell silent for a moment before responding, "Although it’s a bit weak, it’s definitely Eternal Essence. Now that I think about it, the Primordial Chaos is outside the Absolute Power’s influence, so it wouldn’t be impossible for an Eternal to show up here..."
"What should we do?" Zi Xuan then asked. "Go around them or confront them directly?"
Yuan pondered for a moment before replying, "Let’s just keep moving forward. If it really is an Eternal, they most likely already know we’re here, so trying to avoid them might actually draw their attention instead."
He then shrugged and added, "Besides, maybe they won’t even care about us. To beings like them, we’re nothing more than mere ants."
A short while later, they continued moving forward, albeit with heightened vigilance.
The closer Yuan got, the clearer he could sense the Eternal Essence radiating from the other party, and it gradually became apparent what this individual was doing there.
’They seem to be training their Eternal Essence against magical beasts... There’s no way an actual Eternal would waste their time doing something like this, so who else could it be?’ Yuan pondered inwardly.
Eventually, they arrived at the fourth level of the Primordial Chaos, where even the weakest magical beasts had reached at least the sixth level of God Ascension.
"I have always wondered this, but where in heaven’s name are these magical beasts coming from?" Zi Xuan suddenly asked out loud.
"I initially thought they came from the Primal Expanse, but none of them possess a Chaotic Heart, which is a defining characteristic of beings from that place," Yuan remarked.
"Yet for some reason, they’re still capable of cultivating with Chaotic Essence even without one. It’s truly bizarre."
"Anyway, we’re getting close to that individual using Eternal Essence."
A few hours after entering the fourth level, Yuan was finally close enough to observe the mysterious individual with his divine sense.
However, not wanting to provoke their attention, he chose not to investigate further and simply continued moving forward while pretending to ignore their presence.
’Just ignore us...’ Yuan prayed inwardly as they drew closer.
Unfortunately, the moment they passed by the mysterious individual, their presence suddenly began moving toward them.
Realizing that a confrontation was practically unavoidable at this point, Yuan came to a complete stop and quietly waited for the other party to approach.
"Come back to me," Yuan said to Zi Xuan and the Demon Annihilation Sword.
Without hesitation, they reverted to their sword form and returned to his side.
Several tense minutes later, the mysterious individual finally arrived before Yuan.
"You..." They started speaking first, their voice full of surprise. "You are still alive?!"
"Hm?" Yuan raised his eyebrows as he focused his gaze on this individual’s face.
His jaw dropped slightly upon recognizing her face.
"Mu Xuelian?"
The mysterious individual turned out to be none other than Mu Xuelian—the woman Yuan had met within White Hell who had followed him outside before the two were forced to separate during his clash with Saaruk.
