Chapter 2500: Returning to the Primordial Chaos(End of Divine Paragon’s Return Arc)
Zi Xuan stared at the material in Yuan’s grasp with a dumbfounded look on her face.
"I thought Number One Under Heaven was your perfect masterpiece. I cannot imagine it becoming any stronger than it already is—not to mention that you still haven’t fully unlocked all of its abilities."
A faint smile appeared on Yuan’s face as he replied, "There is no such thing as true perfection. Although Number One Under Heaven was my greatest creation as Tian Qiyuan, at the end of the day, it is still merely a mortal treasure."
He then continued, "Furthermore, after learning about Eternals and the treasures they created, I realized there was still an enormous amount of room for improvement. That being said, since I still haven’t learned their techniques, I can only do some slight upgrade for now."
"Even if it’s just a little, I am already shivering with excitement," Zi Xuan remarked with a weird smile on her face.
"So, where is Tian Qiyuan’s world?"
"It is located in the hottest place in the Nine Heavens—the Apocalyptic Chasm, which exists deep within the Primordial Chaos."
"The Primordial Chaos again, huh?" Yuan muttered, recalling when he went there to enter the Primordial Realm.
However, he’d only gone far enough to reach the Primordial Realm the last time, which was barely inside the Primordial Chaos.
"Let’s head to the Primordial Chaos now," he said a moment later.
Meanwhile, word of the banquet started spreading again, this time with the time and location revealed.
"The Divine Paragon’s banquet will be held in the Seventh Heaven beside the Demonic Realm in two months!"
"What? Beside the Demonic Realm? I know he’s the Divine Paragon, but that’s a little..."
"What is there to be afraid of? With the Divine Paragon present, no demon will even dare to get close, much less attack."
"I am not worried about our safety... It just feels... like a weird location to have a banquet."
"I think it’s the perfect location to celebrate the return of someone like the Divine Paragon, though."
"How are we going to get to the Seventh Heaven, anyway? Even if we travel through the Starry Sky, we won’t make it there in time for the banquet."
"I thought the Celestial Emperor was working to replace the Stairway to Heaven. Do you think it’ll be done in time for the banquet?"
"Only time will tell..."
Somewhere in the Ninth Heaven...
"You heard about the upcoming banquet, right? Are you going to attend?" Keling asked Meixiu.
"No," Meixiu responded without hesitation, shaking her head. "I highly doubt Yuan is hosting a banquet just for the sake of it, and whatever he has planned, I do not want to become a burden."
"Is that so? Then let’s continue our training."
A few days later, Yuan arrived at the entrance to the Primordial Chaos, a vast expanse resembling an enormous floating slab of rock suspended in the endless void.
"Just like before, this place is filled to the brim with Chaotic Essence," Yuan muttered after examining the place, and the longer he looked, the more it reminded him of the Primal Expanse.
"This place hasn’t changed one bit, huh?" Zi Xuan remarked with a nostalgic look on her face.
She then looked at Yuan and continued with a smile, "Did you know that this is where I earned most of the money I used to buy your swords back then? Since very few people dare to approach this place, it’s filled with treasures."
"Not only that, but the magical beasts here are incredibly unique, and the materials from their bodies can sell for a fortune."
"Still, it’s incredibly dangerous, and I would have several near-death encounters every time I came here."
"Are you bragging right now?" Yuan smiled.
Zi Xuan shook her head and said, "If it weren’t for your swords fueling my desire to survive, I definitely wouldn’t have lasted long enough to become your Sword Spirit."
Some time later, they entered the Primordial Chaos.
"The Primordial Chaos is divided into seven levels, and the deeper one goes, the more dangerous it becomes. Our destination—the Apocalyptic Chasm—is located within the fifth level," Zi Xuan explained.
"Also, it’s highly advised not to use Void Manipulation while inside. The spatial distortions within the Primordial Chaos are extremely unstable, and you could easily end up being teleported somewhere you never intended to go."
"Is there anything else I should be wary of?" Yuan asked.
"Well..." Zi Xuan pondered for a moment before continuing, "If you were an ordinary cultivator, I’d warn you to conserve your spiritual energy as much as possible, since it’s impossible to recover it naturally inside the Primordial Chaos, and even recovery pills have their effects drastically weakened here."
Sure enough, because of his unique physique and Chaotic Hearts, Yuan had no issue recovering his spiritual energy with the Chaotic Essence there.
Upon entering the first level of the Primordial Chaos, Yuan did not waste any time observing his surroundings and immediately flew straight toward the second level, completely ignoring the magical beasts chasing after him.
Even though he had only just entered the Primordial Chaos, the weakest magical beasts there were already at the first level of God Ascension.
Not wanting to waste time and energy fighting them, Yuan released a portion of his aura in an attempt to scare the magical beasts away.
However, they did not even flinch and continued chasing after him relentlessly.
"The magical beasts here do not fear death. They’ve suppressed their instincts to such an extent that even their natural fear can be completely ignored," Zi Xuan explained.
"What a pain in the ass..." Yuan sighed aloud before casually cutting them down with Supreme Sword Aura, not even bothering to stop and collect their materials afterward.
However, it did not take long before even more magical beasts began chasing after him once again.
"I’ll take care of them for you," Zi Xuan suddenly said. "I need to prepare for my upgrade, after all."
