Chapter 2496: Pseudo Eternal

Chapter 2496: Pseudo Eternal

"Round them up? So you want us to capture them?" Selena asked with a raised eyebrow.

"No. I want the three of you to become their new leaders."

"Does that mean you no longer intend to kill them?" Angela then asked.

"Of course not," Yuan replied calmly. "They will definitely die eventually, but before that, I want them to actually serve some purpose."

He then added, "Once you’ve gathered all of them together, wait for my instructions."

The Transcendents exchanged glances with one another. Although capturing the Forsaken would undoubtedly be far more troublesome than simply slaughtering them outright, they could not care less about the extra effort.

As long as it allowed them to explore this new world and truly enjoy their newfound freedom, they were willing to do it.

"Is there anything else before we begin?" Angela asked.

"Oh, right." Yuan suddenly recalled something. "Among those demons should be a homunculus. Don’t touch him."

A faint smile appeared on his face as he continued, "He intends to summon an ’Ancient,’ and I want to see how exactly he plans on accomplishing that."

"Summoning one of us?" Helena muttered in a puzzled voice, hearing about such a thing for the first time.

She then shook her head and said, "That’s impossible. Especially for something like a mere homunculus."

"Whether he is capable or not doesn’t matter. I just want to see what he does. Besides that, avoid contact with other humans and try not to reveal your cultivation, as the realm of Absolute God doesn’t exist in this world yet."

They silently nodded in acknowledgment.

Shortly afterward, the three Transcendents departed to carry out their duties.

Yuan then turned to look at Lev and the other individual beside him.

"What should I do?" Lev asked.

"Quite frankly, I’m not sure," Yuan admitted. "At first, I intended to have you assist with the cleanup, but that no longer seems necessary."

"If you’d like, you can explore this world for the time being."

While Lev wasn’t as excited to explore the Nine Heavens, it didn’t mean he had no interest in it.

"In that case, I’ll take a look around until you need me."

"What about me?" another voice asked.

Yuan turned to look at the crimson-haired beauty standing before him and said, "The same applies to you, Dena."

Right before they departed from the Demonic Realm, Dena had emerged from her seclusion and successfully ascended, becoming a Transcendent herself.

"I want your blood," she said.

"Even though you’re now a Transcendent?" Yuan raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"What does that have to do with me wanting your blood? You promised to give it to me after I finish my ascension. Moreover, I might become even stronger afterward."

"Are you sure...?" he asked again.

"Save your breath. My answer will remain the same no matter how many times you ask."

"..."

After a moment of silence, Yuan released a defeated sigh and said, "Very well."

He then opened a wound on his palm and gathered enough blood to make a fist-sized sphere before offering it to Dena.

"Whenever you are ready."

Dena closed her eyes and spread her arms wide in a welcoming manner.

"Ready," she mumbled softly.

Upon hearing her confirmation, Yuan gestured toward her, causing the sphere of blood to surge forward and penetrate her skin before flowing directly into her veins.

Dena accepted the blood without flinching or making a sound, quietly savoring the strange sensation of foreign blood flowing through her veins for the very first time.

Although it might not seem particularly significant at first glance, this moment marked the very first time in history that a Supreme Ruler had willingly accepted another person’s blood in such a manner.

Furthermore, Dena was not just any Supreme Ruler, but the strongest one in history.

Suddenly, Dena spoke in a strained voice, "It’s not enough... I need more blood!"

Even though he had already given her several times more blood than he’d given Lev and the others, Yuan did not hesitate for even a moment and continued pouring more of his blood into her body.

"N-Not enough! No matter how much blood I absorb, it still feels like something is missing!" Dena shouted in frustration.

’Something is missing...?’

Yuan frowned slightly, not immediately understanding what she meant.

Then, Yuan began carefully examining her body to determine what exactly was happening within her.

’This is...’

A hint of surprise appeared in Yuan’s eyes when he discovered something inside her body that had not existed before.

’Did this appear after her ascension?’ he wondered inwardly.

Although Yuan was not entirely certain what it was, the discovery helped him understand what Dena meant by something being ’missing’.

Without any hesitation, he immediately began infusing Eternal Essence into the blood he was feeding her.

Almost immediately, Dena began reacting to it.

The mysterious thing within Dena’s body began absorbing Yuan’s Eternal Essence, steadily filling itself with the energy.

Once it became completely saturated, it suddenly transformed, branching out into vein-like structures that intertwined with her existing veins and heart without fully merging with them.

<’Supreme Ruler Dena’ has accepted your blood!>

<You have turned ’Supreme Ruler Dena’ into your Demonic Servant!>

"How do you feel?" Yuan asked afterward.

However, Dena did not respond. She merely stood there with her eyes closed, motionless and silent, as though she had suddenly fallen asleep.

Suddenly—

<Congratulations! You have successfully created a Pseudo Eternal!>

"A what?" Yuan’s eyes widened at the notification before him.

Dena slowly opened her eyes the next moment.

As she took a deep breath, Yuan immediately sensed a faint trace of Eternal Essence exuding from her body.

’No way...’

"This feeling coursing through my body..." Dena mumbled. "It feels exactly the same as that thing I consumed in the past..."

"..."

Yuan stared at her with a dumbfounded expression, wondering what exactly differentiated a Pseudo Eternal from an incomplete one.

Dena raised her arm and stared at her hand with a curious expression before suddenly releasing Eternal Essence from her palm.

Seeing this, Yuan’s expression changed drastically, and he hurriedly shouted, "Stop!"
