Kelan rubbed his eyes in frustration for a moment before speaking, "I’m glad you spoke with Senior Bai, but that doesn’t change the situation. Do you even realize how much trouble you’re in right now?"
"I don’t." Yuan calmly shook his head.
"Then listen carefully! Almost everyone within the faction blames you for what happened to our karma, so nearly everyone who isn’t on Celestial Overlord Xu’s side is hunting you down right now!"
"Is that so?"
Despite being hunted by one of the most powerful factions in the Nine Heavens, Yuan showed neither surprise nor fear, appearing unnaturally nonchalant about the entire situation.
"I don’t know if you’re just pretending not to care or if you’re genuinely that fearless, but your actions don’t only affect you—they also affect Celestial Overlord Xu and everyone who supports her—"
"I am aware, and I will fix it as soon as possible."
"And how are you going to do that?"

Yuan remained silent, causing Kelan to frown.
A moment later, realizing that Yuan had no intention of explaining himself, Kelan released a helpless sigh.
"I am eternally grateful to you for giving me the Great Mammoth Body Refinement Technique, so I sincerely hope you’ll be able to resolve this situation somehow. For now, I’ll just continue to trust you and see how things turn out."
Yuan nodded, "Thanks."
"Anyways, your friends are waiting for you at your old residence."

"What?" Kelan asked when Yuan stared at him in silence.
"You’re not going to ask any questions about them?"
A grin suddenly appeared on Kelan’s face as he replied, "What kind of questions? Even if they’re your new lovers, it is none of my business. That being said, do Meixiu and the others know about them?"
Yuan shook his head and sighed, "They’re not my lovers. I mean, aren’t you going to question why I have demons following me around?"
"What did you just say?"
The grin on Kelan’s face immediately disappeared when he heard the word ’demon’.
Yuan raised an eyebrow and questioned in a somewhat awkward voice, "You... didn’t know? Did you not see their appearance?"
"I did! But they didn’t look like demons to me! Aren’t demons supposed to have red skin?!"
Kelan continued in disbelief, "That group’s skin was as pale as a sheet of paper! Sure, I suspected they weren’t human, but I never would’ve thought they were demons!"
"Not all demons have red skin," Yuan explained. "Anyways, they are demons, but don’t worry—they’re friendly."
"Demons? Friendly?" Kelan stared at him with a strange look on his face. "That’s quite the absurd thing to say, even coming from you."
"It may sound absurd now, but soon, you’ll understand."
"This isn’t a matter of understanding..." Kelan said with a worried expression. "Didn’t you hear? The Divine Paragon—the founder of the Demon Sealing Clan and a lunatic who devoted his life to hunting demons—has returned after being missing for millions of years. If he discovers that you’re working with demons, this definitely won’t end well for you..."
"Worst-case scenario, you’ll be branded as a traitor to humanity."
Yuan burst out laughing, dumbfounding Kelan.
"The Divine Paragon won’t come after me," he said in a confident voice. "Once again, you’ll understand it soon enough."
"We can continue chatting later. I need to speak with my friends now."
Without another word, Yuan flew away, leaving Kelan behind with a dazed look on his face.
"That crazy bastard..." Kelan sighed in a low voice.
Meanwhile, inside the residence Yuan had stayed at during his previous visit, Lev and the others had been waiting ever since leaving the Demonic Realm, guided by the Demon Annihilation Sword, which was capable of receiving Yuan’s instructions even from afar.
"Master."
The Demon Annihilation Sword greeted Yuan at the door.
Once inside, Lev and the others greeted him.
"About time. If you had been any slower, I would’ve explored the world on my own," Angela remarked.
Yuan looked at her and replied, "Aren’t you an immortal who has lived for hundreds of billions of years? Yet you can’t sit still for a mere few days?"
"I can’t help it! I’ve just gotten my freedom back after so long, after all!"
"I understand her feelings," Selena said, joining in on the conversation.
Yuan sighed and said, "Since you want to leave so badly, I will keep this short and get straight to the point."
"I want the three of you to fulfill your duty and eradicate every single Forsaken in this world. Until that task is complete, you are not allowed to wander around and fully enjoy this world."
Yuan smiled faintly and added, "So the faster you finish, the sooner you’ll be free to explore this world at your own pace."
"It’s only a matter of cleaning up some trash. We’ll be done in no time," Helena said confidently.
"How long do you think it’ll take?" Yuan asked.
Selena answered, "Over the past few days, I’ve searched for the Forsaken’s presence throughout this world and detected a total of around two hundred thousand, with seventy thousand, five hundred and twenty-one within this realm alone, most of them concentrated in the same region."
She paused briefly before continuing, "If we take this seriously, I estimate it will take roughly two weeks—three at most—to eradicate them completely."
"That fast?" Yuan stared at her with a stunned expression.
Angela shrugged and said, "Since this world is divided into nine separate realms and traveling between them takes time, most of that time will be spent on that alone. Otherwise, wiping them out would only take us a single day."
"Quite frankly, I expected it would take at least a few years. However, if it’ll only take a month at most, I’ll have to push my schedule up a bit, perhaps even change it entirely."
After pondering for a moment, Yuan asked, "Are you capable of controlling the Forsaken?"
"We are."
They nodded.
A profound smile tugged at Yuan’s lips upon hearing this, and he quickly said, "Change of plans. Rather than killing all of them, I want you to round them up for me."
