In the lab, Lin Xuan Qi opened his eyes with his lips curled up.
He had been inside the lab for the whole day cultivating and focusing on controlling the Natal Puppet in the battle.
It was well worth the effort with the result he got.
And with the victorious mood, he decided to have a hearty lunch together with Xue Cong and the others.
"Xuan Qi, you look happy." Xue Cong asked when she saw him with a smile on his face.
"Indeed, I am." Lin Xuan Qi replied and held onto her hand.
She glanced at him and wondered what he was up to next; usually he was up to something with that smile of his.
He shrugged at her and said, "Since the shopping mall is finally completed, let’s celebrate by having lunch by the pavilion."
"The pavilion?" Xue Cong asked and he nodded at her.
"It’s near autumn and the weather is fine for it now." Lin Xuan Qi replied and she thought about it for a moment.
The weather had indeed been getting cooler with the arrival of autumn.
"Fine, I’ll get the servants to get it done." She said and glanced over at Xiu.
Xiu, who was standing not too far away from them and was admiring how loving they were with each other, quickly stood up straight and gave Xue Cong a nod.
"Maybe it’s time to find a suitor for her..." Xue Cong shook her head at Xiu and mumbled to herself.
It didn’t take too long for it to be done.
After a few moments, Lin Xuan Qi was seated at the pavilion admiring the flowers that were still blooming in late summer.
Some of the leaves from the trees were also falling and the breeze blowing by the pond was getting cooler.
He let out a sigh at how quickly time went by.
"Xuan Qi." Yue Jie’s voice took him out of his thoughts and he glanced over at her.
She was with Yue Xin, who was looking more vibrant than before.
Lin Xuan Qi wasn’t sure if it was her increased appetite or the extra care she had received from everyone else.
But either way, he was glad that Xue Cong and Yue Xin were safe and sound in their pregnancy.
"Come have a seat." He waved at them, gesturing for them to join him, and they joined him at the pavilion.
"Great, we can start the meal when Shi Shi joins us." Xue Cong came over with Xiu and the other servant girls.
The servant girls had a plate of dishes in their hands and they put them onto the table of the pavilion.
"Waiting for me?" Just as Xue Cong was saying that, Liu Shi Shi appeared with Zhi Yong and they joined the others at the table.
Zhi Yong was excited to be able to have their meal out in the pavilion for a change and said, "Master Lin, me happy eat here."
Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head at him and said, "It is indeed a happy occasion."
He picked up his tea cup and had a sip of the tea.
Now that the shopping mall and the danger at Gui Feng were more or less settled, he could focus his mind and effort on things in Hong Feng City.
But before that, it wouldn’t hurt to have a small family gathering.

Yue Xin nodded her head and chimed in, "Maybe with their luck, you will be able to have a big catch when you go out to sea."
That reminded Lin Xuan Qi of his poker losses and he let out a sigh.
But it was bittersweet for him.
Maybe Yue Xin was right. He might have great luck with his sons out at sea.
He wouldn’t mind having his sons’ good luck rub off on him to get a big catch.
That would be a dream come true for him.
"Enough talking, time to start eating. You’ve been cooped up in the lab for the whole day, eat more." Xue Cong picked up a piece of the braised beef for him and put it into his bowl of rice.
Yue Jie also picked up a piece of the steamed fish for him.
Although Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi were seated further from him, Yue Xin stood up and refilled his tea while Liu Shi Shi filled a bowl of the chicken soup for him.
At that moment, with the wonderful view of the garden and the care and attention of his wife and concubines, Lin Xuan Qi felt that he was living like an emperor.
