They sat by the tea table in the room and Yue Jie helped pour a cup of tea for Lin Xuan Qi.
Lin Xuan Qi rested on the back of the chair and slumped on it.
It was only with his wife and concubine that he could be relaxed without the constant worries of daily life.
"How is everything in the mansion?" He asked when he picked up the tea cup from the table.
Yue Jie glanced at him and said, "Things have been going great.
"Sister Xue Cong, with the help of Xiu managing things and with her mother taking good care of her, is getting ample rest.
"I’m looking over Yue Xin and making sure she wouldn’t do something careless, which is something usual for her.
"Shi Shi is busy with her job and happy with it."
He nodded with every sentence she said.
Thankfully, things seemed to be going well while he was busy with all the other stuff.
It might be a good time for him to spend some days with them, now that the danger from the Qing Feng Sect was over for now.
They could monitor him from outside the mansion all they want while he enjoyed his days with Xue Cong and the others.
He wanted to cultivate the Natal Puppet as his Natal Spiritual Artifact anyway.
After pondering about it, he took a sip of the warm tea and said, "Maybe I’ll spend the next few days at home."
"Really? What about the businesses?" Yue Jie tilted her head and asked.
"Things are going well in the factories and there isn’t anything that I need to see to personally.
"Besides, I have you to help me with it." He shrugged at her and said.
Yue Jie frowned at him and said, "What if I’m not good enough to handle it?"
Lin Xuan Qi shook his head at how Yue Jie was serious as usual, he gave her a smirk, held onto her hands and said, "I’m pretty sure you are good enough for me..."
Her face flustered and she lowered her head.
That got his eyes following her movements and he glanced at her bosoms.
"You are making me shy..." Yue Jie said softly when she realized his gaze on her and she turned her body to the side.
"It’s time I reward you for working so hard on the accounts for me." Lin Xuan Qi wasted no time and carried her in his arms.
Then, he laid her onto the bed.
Yue Jie’s face glowing in a warm glow with the candlelight shining on her, gave her a halo that made her seem untouchable.
Which made him even more excited.
The night went on with the candlelight swaying, making their shadows fused together dance with it.

For the next few days, Lin Xuan Qi stayed inside the mansion, cultivating the Natal Puppet and spending his time with Xue Cong and the others.
That made the Qing Feng Sect disciples watching over him not knowing whether to be happy or sad about it.
They could now stay under the shade provided by the trees but it was boring as hell for them.
Staying in a location with nothing much to do and having to be constantly on the lookout for what was happening, wasn’t a very pleasant thing to do.
In a way, being able to follow him around was much easier, except for the intense heat of summer.
Finally, they couldn’t take it anymore and they requested to be back at Zhao Geng Nian’s residence, since they couldn’t find anything unusual with Lin Xuan Qi.
Meanwhile, Lin Xuan Qi also squeezed out time to check on the properties that he had.
With the success of the arena, he decided to make plans for the future.
It was time to go on offense instead.
And the best way for him to do so was to buy properties.
But this time it would be targeted.

They could take up important spots around the surrounding area first.
Right now, there weren’t any franchise shops in the vicinity and it was a good and perfect start for him.
And that was what he got to executing next.
He sent out letters to Sima Long and Liu Shao, both of whom had been badly affected by the onslaught of the Qing Feng Sect onto the Sima Family.
It will be sweet revenge for them if their franchise shops would be a deciding factor to bring down Zhao Geng Nian.

Lin Xuan Qi finally headed out of his mansion after so many days and the Qing Feng Sect disciples gave out a long sigh of relief when they saw him.
They followed closely behind and when they saw him going towards the direction of Zhao Geng Nian’s residence they gave out a frown.
Were they found out and was he on his way to protest to the Peak Lord? They thought to themselves silently but they got their answer very quickly.
Lin Xuan Qi was out trying to buy over some of the shops that were near Zhao Geng Nian’s residence.
A pretty common thing for him to do since he was running the franchise business.
And he didn’t do anything unusual, paying for the properties, getting the documents in order before he went back to the mansion again.
It was at that moment that they finally got a message from Zhao Geng Nian.
