Clan Prosperity Starting With My Servant Girls

Chapter 572: The Big Show

Chapter 572: The Big Show

Next day.

Sima Ye sent a message to the Lin mansion first thing in the morning.

Lin Xuan Qi read the letter and he knew that he could start with what he had planned.

He spent the day working with Old Shao and his team to start with the construction of the arena immediately.

They started with digging for the foundation of the arena while they waited for the wood and other materials to arrive on the site.

Thankfully, it wasn’t a huge issue for them to find the labor required.

Many were looking for odd jobs in the city and surrounding villages and they rushed over to the site when they caught wind of it.

"Master Lin, what are we building this for?" One of the workers asked while they dug out the soil from the ground.

The other workers were also curious about it and they waited for Lin Xuan Qi’s reply.

Where they were working was near the road but nowhere near anything else, there was nothing but the empty fields and the official road nearby.

Lin Xuan Qi gave them a smile and said, "It’s for a big event that’s about to happen.

"You should get to know about it very soon."

He just gave them a hint but didn’t elaborate more on it.

That would be the job of the Sima Family.

All that he was required to do was to get the arena set up first.

Then he would run the event smoothly, earn some money from the tickets and bets together with the food stalls.

And most important of all, he would be fixing the matches to ensure that the Sima Family won.

The Qing Feng Sect wouldn’t have expected someone who could control what happened with the system’s ability within the arena.

There would be no Spirit Qi or Five-Element Qi when he used the system’s ability.

No one except him would have any idea about what was happening.

"I will get back to the city first." Lin Xuan Qi decided to head back to the city when he saw that everything was going smoothly.

Old Shao nodded at him and said, "Go and spend some time in the mansion. I will ensure that everything goes according to plan."

Lin Xuan Qi gave his father-in-law a smile and got into the horse carriage.

He knew that Old Shao meant spending more time with Xue Cong even though he didn’t spell it out.

And that was what he planned to do after he checked on his other businesses.

Lin Xuan Qi headed to the factories and the production had started on the Lin Clan Taste Transcendent Essence.

The harvest for the kelp had started and there were some deliveries made.

He expected to make more for the next month with the addition of the Lin Clan Taste Transcendent Essence.

And with the newly added two retail stores in Gui Feng City, he had one more avenue to sell the essence to, which would help with the revenue.

Next he went to Old Feng’s inn to see if he had any new information for him.

"Master Lin, here for lunch?" Old Feng greeted him and gestured for him to have a seat in the dining area.

Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and he sat down at his usual table.

Old Feng proceeded to pour him a cup of tea and said, "Master Lin, there aren’t any news except for the war in the north, things are serious now with some of the cultivators from the north breaching through the borders."

Old Feng said with a frown at Lin Xuan Qi.

Lin Xuan Qi picked up the teacup from the table and gave out a sigh.

"Are these cultivators apprehended?" He glanced at Old Feng and asked.

Old Feng shook his head at him, "I’m not too sure about it, the merchants have stopped going to the cities near the northern border, so there were no updates on it."

Lin Xuan Qi began to ponder on what it meant for Da Qian Dynasty.

The clans and sects might have to be mobilized to help with taking care of the cultivators and the Da Mang Dynasty soon.

And it would mean a lot of turmoil that was about to happen.

He couldn’t help but think about the Dark Lord.

If the Dark Lord was true to his words about building a fair and equal society in this world that is ruled by the cultivators, this was the best time for him to stand up to what he believed.

However, Lin Xuan Qi didn’t expect him to do so.

"What about the Qing Feng Sect? As the largest sect in Da Qian Dynasty, aren’t they supposed to take care of these cultivators from the north?" He took a sip of his tea, glanced at Old Feng and asked.

Old Feng nodded his head and replied, "The Qing Feng Sect have indeed sent out someone to deal with them."

"Then, hopefully these cultivators from the north would be taken care of soon." Lin Xuan Qi frowned when he heard Old Feng.

He wasn’t sure if the Qing Feng Sect was doing it to garner support or to stop the cultivators from the north from snatching the cultivation resources from them.

Either way, he didn’t trust them to think that they would be doing something good.

Their actions in Spirit Valley and Hong Feng City had proved otherwise.

"Have you heard about the Sima Family having a tournament?"

"Yeah, I heard it. They are out to prove that their Artifacts are good and trustworthy."

"What about the soldiers who came back from the north?"

Some of the patrons in the inn were chatting about the tournament organized by the Sima Family and they drew away Lin Xuan Qi’s attention.

"The soldier who started it had run away and disappeared."

"Some say that he was either killed by the Sima Family or he ran away after being found out by the Sima Family."

"What about the other soldiers?"

"They too had all but disappeared."

"Enough about them, tell me more about the tournament."

The news of the soldiers were now passé and the public was more interested in the tournament now.

Lin Xuan Qi took a sip of his tea and gave out a sigh.

The show was just about to begin.
