Lin Xuan Qi narrowed his eyes when he saw the bonus.
It seemed to him that the reward of fifty Five-Element Stones wasn’t in relation to the area of the property he had bought.
The field he had bought was much bigger than what he had purchased before.
It was one kilometer square in total.
Which was big enough to build an arena for a few thousand to watch.
And with him being unbeatable within this huge swath of land, Lin Xuan Qi felt a sense of security when he stepped into the field.
If only the properties within the city were just as affordable, he would buy up the whole of the city if he could. He thought and gave out a sigh.
Maybe the earnings he could get from running the arena would help him earn enough to do so....
And while he was thinking about it, another idea came to him.
Since he was running the tournament and he would be fixing it with the system’s ability, he might as well make more money running the bets on the competitors.
Everything would be in his control and he wasn’t one to miss out on it.
"Let’s get back to the city, it’s hot out here." Lin Xuan Qi wiped the sweat off his brow and said to Lee He Song.
There weren’t many trees around the area which was one of the reasons he wanted to buy it.
He wouldn’t have to spend the time to clear the trees to build the arena.
Lee He Song took a mouthful of wine from his wine gourd, wiped the wine off the side of his mouth and said, "Looks like you are about to get busy again."
Lin Xuan Qi sighed and nodded his head at Lee He Song.
Somehow it always ended up like this.
But he didn’t have much of an option except to work hard at it.
He got onto his horse carriage with Lee He Song and they left the fields.

Before getting back to the mansion, Lin Xuan Qi visited the housekeeper of Lu Ting to ask for the Spirit Herbs for the Core Formation Pills.
When the housekeeper heard the Spirit Herbs that he wanted, she nodded to him and said, "That will be eighty taels of gold for a gram of all the Spirit Herbs."
"Eighty taels of gold... My men will send the payment here later." Lin Xuan Qi sighed and nodded his head at the housekeeper.
They were getting more expensive as he got to a higher level of cultivation and he expected them to get even more expensive in the future.
"I shall take my leave for now." He bid the housekeeper farewell and got back to his mansion.
The first thing he did when he got back was to go to his study and draft out a rough plan for the arena to be built.
He tried to recall how the stadiums were done from where he came from and he drafted some rudimentary forms of something similar.
After he was done with it, he called for Old Shao to discuss it with him.
"You have something for me, Xuan Qi?" Old Shao came into the room and asked.
His face was full of smiles and vibrant with life ever since he knew of Xue Cong’s pregnancy.
One of the last wishes he had for Xue Cong was now fulfilled, and he was in the best mood he could be after Xue Cong’s marriage to Lin Xuan Qi.
The only wish he had left was for Xue Cong to deliver the child safely.
Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and showed the draft he had to Old Shao, "I’m not too good at this, maybe you can give me some ideas on the feasibility of it."
Old Shao glanced at the drafts and he began to frown.
Out of the five drafts on the paper, only one was feasible from what he saw.
The others were impossible with the materials he had.
Even the hardest wood would collapse under the weight that the arena was supposed to carry.
"Only this could be done." Old Shao pointed at the only feasible draft and said.
Lin Xuan Qi sighed as he had expected it to be so.
It was the draft where the stands were flat and spread out.
Not the best experience for viewing but he had to work with what he had.
If he made use of Artifacts and rare materials that could be used for cultivation on it instead, he might not be able to make back the money invested into it.
"I will need your team to build this as soon as possible, is there anything else that you need?" Lin Xuan Qi asked and Old Shao thought for a moment.
He tapped his finger on the draft of the arena and said, "I would need at least a hundred more workers to build it.
"And the wood and other materials that would be required have to be procured."
Lin Xuan Qi felt himself becoming poorer upon hearing it and he asked, "How much of a budget would you need?"
"Maybe eighty taels of gold?" Old Shao wasn’t too sure himself and he gave a ballpark figure.
"I will get the money for you." Lin Xuan Qi said and had tea with his father-in-law.
They chatted about Ah Di’s studies and how Ah Di would be able to have a try at the imperial examinations soon.
Xue Cong was also mentioned and how Mei Jiao was taking care of her now, making sure that Xue Cong had the necessary care for a safe delivery.
Lin Xuan Qi felt guilty about it as he was so busy recently and he could only nod his head at Old Shao silently while Old Shao talked about it.
When it was dinner time, they stopped the chat and headed for the dining hall.
Lin Xuan Qi’s heart warmed when he saw Xue Cong and the others giving him a smile when he entered the dining hall.
