But she was also consious. Ning Mei wasn’t ignorant of the fact that this place did not lack wild animals. And this cave could be a home to one.

But the need for shelter at this time, made her fight against all the concerning thoughts.

Ning Mei slowly walked towards the cave while praying in her heart that there not be any wild bear or lion living inside. Or even if there are, they atleast be a little kind hearted and welcoming.

Ning Mei inched nearer to the cave and then to her utter disappointment, she heard some noises coming from inside it. Oh no! I had to find one cave and that too had to be occupied!! Can my luck her any worser?!

Her shoulders drop and she was about to turn around and go, when her attention was captured by the light coming from inside! What! She had to see that!

She slowly walked towards the cave and the more she went , the more warmth she felt. Fire! Wahhh! Since when did animals start using fire!

For now, she was sure that there was humans inside the cave and no wild animals. She happily and hurriedly went in. And yes! There indeed was fire! And together with fire there was a ... Uh, an old man!

The man had his bare back towards Ning Mei. And his head full of hairs looked white in the fire light.

Seeing all this, Ning Mei’s dying hope was reignited and she called, " Hello? Mr. Old man. I am struck here, if you don’t mind can I - huh!!!"

Ning Mei could not even finish her words when the man turned his head towards her and glared at her.

"Old man?" Yang Bei said coldly.

Saying so he turned around and stood up. And seeing him, Ning Mei almost bit her tongue. She checked him head to toe and except his hairs nothing looked old at all.

He had a face and body like they show in the movies! Gorgeous! That was the only word she could think of when she saw him.

She was then shocked when she saw that he was wounded in the stomach. And oh dear lord! His wound seemed quite very deep!

But who was he? Was he a Tarzan who lived in the jungle? And he got injured while hunting?

The next second, she herself turned speechless on how weird her thinking process and become! Why would he be a Tarzan?

Where would Tarzan get pants from in the jungle? And for God’s sake, why would he look so good and groomed!

She really had to have some out of the world mind if come up with this thoughts!

While, Ning Mei was chiding herself in her mind, she heard the man say, " So if you are done being a creep and done checking on me, then tell me what are you here for?"

Ning Mei rolled her eyes and said, " Aren’t you too much of a narcissist to think that I would be checking out on you? I was just admiring the level of my own creative mind."

" Anyway, Mr not so old man, I am Ning ..." Ning Mei continued,

"..." The man turned speechless again.

But then Ning Mei who was standing near the entrance of the cave walked in and the light fell on her face, allowing Yang Bei to take a good look at her.

And that second, he froze.

She continued speaking, but it was as if he was lost somewhere else.

And he only heard her later, when she said, " So that’s why, I am in grave need of a shelter right now. So please share this cave with me."

’Even her voice...’, he thought to himself.

" See! If you let me live here, I can provide you many benefits." She said patting the huge bag on her back.

" As I said, I was here on trekking so I have all the necessities we would need untill the strom subsided. I have good pairs of extra clothes. And I see you have put on fire rubbing the stones, but I have lighters. And I also have enough food. I have mosquito repellent. And yes, I have medecines too. We can treat your wound untill we get out of her safe. We.. " Ning Mei continued speaking, trying to convince him yoylet her stay there.

" Fine, you can stay. " Yang Bei just said as he waved his hand and then sat back in his earlier position.

Ning Mei smiled with glee and said as she walked to the more inside of the cave and put down the bag, " I wqs just striking a good deal with you. Even if you had have said ’no’, I would have not gone. I would beat you, until you allowed you, hehe! "

Yang Bei said nothing, and continued to do what he was doing. But her words did make a subtle smile appear on her lips, that went unseen by her.

He was actually trying to clean his wound, with a wet white piece of cloth. Well, it was not white anymore, as it had become dirty.

Ning Mei quietly sat down and saw him. And then her eyes widened when she saw the surrounding and understood what was he doing.

There was a small knife and bullet near him, and that dirty white piece of cloth of his torn shirt!

He seemed to be wonded by bullet, and he had taken it out.

Ning Mei’s face crunched thinking of how much it have pained to cut one’s ownself up and remove the bullet without any equipment.

She hurriedly said, " Don’t do that."

Yang Bei raised his head to look at her and arched one of his brow.

" That cloth has become dirty. You might get a septic. " Ning Mei said.

"In this situation. This is the only possible thing to do. And don’t worry, I will be done soon. And if you feel this too gory, you can turn around and sit. "

This man! Gory! She had seen worse stuffs.
