When you knew where I was and my whereabouts?! Why did you never come to me?"
Gu Yeze stared deep into her eyes and he found strange desperation on her face. Her emotions right now were raw, yet not readable. It seemed like she was really desperate for his answer.
It was then he realised that the answer to the question she now wanted was not what he was thinking.
And Ning Mei really was. She looked at him with big eyes, as if expecting something. But what? Even she did not know.
Gu Yeze carresed her cheeks and pushed her hairs behind her ears and then held her face. Looking at her face, and her holding her , he said, " Why are you looking so scared? Do you think I am lying about being in love with you all this time? "
She indeed looked scared and confused too. It was so many emotions at once. Maybe she was indeed a little scared.
Gu Yeze smiled and shook his head. He said, "No. I am not lying. I did not come in front of you or reveal myself because I knew those three years were going to be the most crucial years of your life. You needed to solely focus on your studies, your goals and on your own self at that moment.
You were just seventeen that time. You had to work hard those years and not lef yourself get distracted or let your mind wander else.
And I am so glad that you did. I am really proud of you.
That age and those times where not for you to pay much attention on love and relationship. That is why I never revealed my self or approached you, untill you were ready. "
Ning Mei attentively listened to whatever he had to say and inwardly agreed with him too. Her teenage self would have maybe opposed him train of thoughts but the adult her agreed with him one hundred percent.
She had gone away from home for her personal development. And if she had found Gu Yeze earlier, then she would have not paid attention on either her studies, and she could just forget about learning about life or being a part of the underworld organisations.
Hearing him explaining himself, the strange turmoil that had risen in her chest for no reasons, calmed down. She was very satisfied with what he said.
Ning Mei then started thinking about what he said as she leaned on Gu Yeze ahs rested her head on his chest. After a few seconds, she raised her cute face with furrowed brows and asked, " You say you waited for me. So what if, I didn’t return after three years and took more time to complete my studies, and spend more time in the organisation?"
Gu Yeze did not even give it a second’s thought before answering, " I told you, I would wait for you untill you were ready and mature. Until the course of your life and the way to your goals would have not got disturbed by my presence. "
"But then say, what would have happened if I suddenly would have become dumb and took too much time. Suppose say, twenty years! What would you do? Would you marry other woman and have kids with her?! " She asked with big, wife eyes.
Yes, Ning Mei knew her question did not make any sense. Yet she wanted an answer to it.
Gu Yeze chuckled hearing it. Her question was giving, ’Would you still love me if I were a worm’ vibe.
And he knew better what to answer. He shook his head and said, " Ofcourse not. How would I have such audacity to even think of another woman. No matter if you took twenty years or forty years, I would have still waited for you."
Ning Mei, now was very much satisfied with the answer. Her husband was not the CEO of Gu Corporations for no reasons! Ofcourse he had to be supper smart!!
She snuggled closer to her, which Gh Yeze gladly welcomed with a low sexy laugh. Ning Mei smiled at him contently, and inched her plump lips forward to his, for a kiss.
Gu Yeze too leaned down, and just when there lips were about to touch one another, Ning Mei’s eyes flew open and she pushed herself away from Gu Yeze’s arms, yet again.
Gu Yeze was taken aback and asked with a shoked face , " Now what! "
"What?! Gu Yeze! You have the audacity to ask what?! Did you think I will forget this! " Ning Mei asked with her nostrils flaring in anger.
Gu Yeze pinched the bridge of his nose and asked, " Now what, Wifey? "
Now he lost count on how many times his wife uttered the same dialogue, as she remembered something new every one and then. And this time, they were so close to kissing!
Even his heart had picked pace, now to be dropped dead the next second.
He sighed and said, " Please tell me, Wifey? What did I do now to make you mad? "
Ning Mei placed her hands on her waist and huffed. She said, " I understand why you avoided me for the three years. But would you like to explain, why you acted like you did not love me, least did not know me at all, the last few months!? "
