Chasing My CEO Husband

Chapter 374: RISING POPULARITY

She poked his nose and said, " Oh silly husband of mine! Why would I even think of that. People bartar their souls in order to get a husband like you and here I have gotten you for free. Do you think I am stupid enough to let you go?! "

Gu Yeze blinked and then a smile bloomed in his face, " So you are not thinking any thing if that sort, are you?"

Ning Mei frowned and said, "No stupid. Why would I? I was thinking that we should meet each others families soon now."

"Hm, " Gu Yeze nodded absent mindedly before registering her words. " Wait.. what?!" He examined and looked at her with wide eyes.

Ning Mei was staring at him a little nervously with a small smile on her face. She softly repeated herself, " I was thinking we should -"

" Really? " Gu Yeze interupted her with a big smile on his face. "You are serious aren’t you?"

Ning Mei watched with fascination, the excitement on her husband’s face. He really was excited to make their marriage known. And it made her happy too. She smiled and nodded her head.

" Yes, I am done with the hidden marriage thing. We should meet our families soon and then after everything is settled, I want us to go public too - Ou! " Before Ning Mei could complete her sentence, she was pulled into a tight hug by Gu Yeze.

He kissed the side of her head and said, " I loved the idea! We will discuss a good date to visit our families and reveal the truth, alright? "

Ning Mei nodded her head, and Gu Yeze kissed her on her lips.

***

More than two weeks has passed by. And Ning Mei’s popularity skyrocketed. Soon after the Koral’s interview, the news Ning Mei being close friend to the two Gu siblings circulated on the internet. And though, it was noone’s intention, but it left a very good impact on her social image.

Because anything being linked with the Gu family, increase it’s value in the eyes of the public and industry.

Then after a few days, Heavenly Emperor’s Angel was released. And the public and the almost went crazy over that. The movie was already hyped because of the main leads that were Chen Yang and Song Fena, but they were surprised when they saw Ning Mei in it too.

Though Ning Mei’s name was present in the cast list of their official website , the makers had not promoted Ning Mei much. And the reason being the lack of time. Firstly, Ning Mei’s scenes were shot when Chen Yang and Song Fena were already promoting the movie. And secondly, the news of the sudden change of cast would invite much unnecessary attention and rumours.

But it did good to the movie. Ning Mei’s hype was already a hit topic on the internet, and then her outstanding performance in the movie took it to the next level.

People loved the character of Yang Guixi, and her pain and feelings were held out beautifully in the movie.

Ning Mei’s popularity started rising with leaps and bounds.

And then soon her drama LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP started to get aired too.

Three episodes were aired till now, and the drama fandom was already crazy.

The main lead was supposed to be Ning Yiyi and Mu Xuke, and they were supposed to get all attention, which they were receiving.

But the fandom split when it came to loving the characters. People now started siding with Andrea, and instead of liking Xia who was supposed to be the main character, she was not being liked too much.

They weren’t really hating Xia, but were heart broken for Andrea too. Because Ning Mei really did justice to Andrea’s character by bringing forward her pain and feelings.

And now Ning Mei was receiving all the interviews and all, and she was doing really good in the own career.

Sky Entertainment’s stocks also started rising relatively. And everything was going well.

One day, Ning Mei was happily lazing around in her office with her team laughing and chatting, when suddenly Ning Mei’s phone rang. It was the phone she uses as Muye, And the caller was Ning Yiyi. Ning Mei raised her eyebrows and answered the call.

There was a mysterious smile on her face. Did I successfully put her on fire? She asked her friends to keep quiet and she answered the call, in her male voice, "Hello~"

Though others in the room already knew about Ning Mei’s cross dressing thing, and her ability to speak in a man’s voice too, but hearing it again, they still could not help but be amazed.

" Where are you?!!" Ning Yiyi almost barked from the other side. Ning Mei blinked her eyes and said, " I ... Am in my office at the agency, my precious. Why? What’s wrong?"

" Precious, my foot! I am heading to Sky Entertainment! You better have answers to my questions! " Barking angrily, Ning Yiyi hung up the call.

Ning Mei blinked one, twice and then thrice as she stared at the phone, before she burst out laughing. "God! This woman... "

Tang Xuhang looked curiously at Ning Mei and asked, " What happened, Goddess? Tell us too. We also want to laugh. "

Ning Mei then walked to a selves in the office, and took out a bag. She kept spare pair of male clothes in here too.

The walking to the small room attached to the office, she told them, "There is a witch coming here soon. I will be Muye, the Talent manager for now, and Ning Mei is an artist under me, okay?"

The people in the room blinked their eyes in confusion. Witch? What witch is coming to the office? Is she a witch with a wand?

Yu Lian looked at her confusedly and said, " Who witch? Ning Yiyi?"

Ning Mei chuckled as she winked at Yu Lian and said, " Whom else do I call a witch?"

Saying so, she went to change into Muye.
