Chapter 269: A SURPRISE FROM GU YEZE?

As Ning Mei ascended the stairs, she found Butler Xu who took bowed at her and greeted her. She greeted back at him and noticed that he was also all smiles and thought to herself, ’ What’s the matter? Why is everyone so smiley smiley today? ’

Butler Xu then said, " Madam there is something in your room from Sir. Have a pleasant night. "

Saying this, he descended down the stairs.

Something from Gu Yeze? I wonder what it maybe.

Wondering she went to her room, while Butler Xu also ordered everyone to retire for the night and go back to their quarters and rooms.

Ning Mei was confused as she opened the door to her bedroom. She was actually expecting Gu Yeze back and un heur room as the Butler said that their is something from him.

Not him there in the bedroom, Ning Mei walked in and she was surprised to see the interior of the room. It did not change much, but the hue of the dim lights were much soft. And the room smelt much pleasant. ’ They must have changed the room freshner.’ Ning Mei guessed.

And when she got near to bed, Ning Mei widened her eyes in surprise. There she saw a red satin dress laid on the bed, also there were some small jewellery boxes. Ning Mei sat on the bed as she looked at the things, and found a note there too.

The note was beautiful, and in it were written something with hand, " Come to the terrace. I wish to see my wife in these. )

Ning Mei’s heart was beating like crazy as she read the note. It was almost threatening to jump out of the ribcage.

Did Gu Yeze plan something for me? And she looked back at the beautiful dress beside her. Ning Mei’s thoughts started going all around and she bit her lower lip in excitement.

Ning Mei came out of the shower, clad in her bathrobe, and came to stand in front of the mirror. She plugged in the hair dryer and started drying her hair. In between she stopped and smiled widely.

She subconsciously looked at the roof, and crunched her nose cutely. Ning Mei did not know what was planned or will be happening. But as long as it was her husband, even if he has just planted a flower for her, she is thrilled with it.

After drying her hairs, Ning Mei put on a light makeup. She did not want to do anything heavy with her face, as it was already night and it was only her husband whom she was facing. She applied some dark lipstick, and some mascara to enhance her eyes. Her face was already full of collagen so it did not require many layers so makeup anyway.

After that she put on the dress. And she loved the dress so much! The satin cloth was so soft and smooth to touch on her hands. It had a drapped neckline with narrower shoulder straps that had a cross at the back. The dress also had low cut back with with draping, which allowed her fair, smooth and slender back to be flaunted.

She opened the small jewellery boxes and found the first box to have light and dainty good earings. The earings were not heavy, but it gave a subtle glamour to her look. The another box has another gold jewellery but it was a bracelet this time. It was a gold chain bracelet with a hook, and it look so graceful. Ning Mei paired her look with her red heels. And then stood in front of the mirror as she admired herself.

The combination of red and golden looked amazing.

Ning Mei took her steps towards the terrace. As she climbed the lighted stairs, she found the terrace door to be closed, and she knew it was not locked and that she had to push it open.

With every click of her heels, Ning Mei’s heartbeat increased. Standing in front of the door, Ning Mei took a deep breath to calm her anxious nerves.

She did not understand why was she behaving like this. It was not her first time meeting her husband, for god’s sake! She was acting like a teenager going on her first date. Or maybe her reaction was even more extreme than that.

Ning Mei took a few more deep breaths, avd chanted in her heart, ’ He is your husband, he is your husband! ’

But what did it matter, anything that involved Gu Yeze made her heart race.

And also, as much as Ning Mei did not want her thoughts to go beyond the limit and as much as she did not want to raise her hopes, the fact that Gu Yeze is arranging something for her, could not help but spark something in her heart.

Ning Mei slowly pushed open the door, and the view that greeted her, left her stunned. The whole wide and large terrace was decorated dreamily beautiful.

The whole colour theme of the decorations were red, golden and black, and everything looked so stunningly. There were balloons and small lights all around. The place was actually not so brightly lit, but just enough for somebody to see everything clearly.

And then she saw him. The one her eyes were searching for. Gu Yeze stood there, looking at her with a smile. And the moment, she saw him he heart seemed to skip a beat. He seemed hot! So hot!

Gu Yeze was wearing a plain white shirt, three of his top buttons were left unbuttoned. The shirt was paired with a black trouser, and his matching black shoes. He looked so sexily perfect to her eyes right now. And what was more to it that....

He was carrying a bouquet of red roses in his hands.

Ning Mei almost fell that this man had sucked away her breath even from that distance.

And he slowly walked towards her, and came to stand right in front of her.
