It was Saturday afternoon when Ning Mei and Yu Lian were drove to Meilei. As they had really limited time, the shoot was scheduled to be today. And released after a week.
As the model’s decision was made by the CEO himself, other’s did not raise too many doubts about it. Also, the chosen seemed quite fair for the job. Therefore, all the process had been carried smoothly.
In the car, Yu Lian was driving and Ning Mei sat on the passenger seat and was on a call with the freaky head Gu Yehan.
Yu Lian glanced at Ning Mei who now had held her forehead as she tiring listened to Gu Yehan ramble. After sometime, Ning Mei sighed and said, " I heard it, Brother in law. You are literally telling this to me for the fifth time. It’s just a shoot, why are you freaking out so much ? "
Gu Yehan tsked and said exerting focus to his words, " No, sister in law! You do not understand! It is not just some mere shoot. It is your first project collaboration with my own company! And I do not want any thing to mess up, less create any problems for you or my employees. Even keeping aside the employees, you should not get into any trouble or your husband is going to give me a hard time for sure. "
Ning Mei chuckled and when she thought Gu Yehan was about to start another ramble, she hurriedly said, " Alright, brother in law. I will call you myself if I face any trouble. God bless. Bye~ " And she hung up the call.
She kept the phone back into her purse, then looking at Yu Lian, she said with a light shake of her head, " This Gu Yehan is a character for sure. "
Yu Lian laughed. She glanced at Ning Mei as she said, " Seems like you are getting along with the Gu family members quite well. "
Ning Mei shrugged and said with a light smile, " I don’t know. I have just met Gu Yehan and he is a sweet person anyway, so I did not have much problems with him. But I don’t know about other family members. I hope to get along with them too when we meet. "
" You sure will. After all, my darling is the most charming. " Yu Lian said with a wink. Ning Mei giggled as she heard her. And then again heard Yu Lian say, as she rolled her eyes, " And, oh please, don’t tell me that Gu Yehan is a sweet person. He is also no less of a cunning demon than his brother.
Though he may not be as dauting, cool and intimidating like his brother, he surely is not a sweet heart, alright. He in business is a feared personality. Your husband and in laws are only sweet in front of you, alright. "

As they reached Meilei, Yu Lian passed the keeps to the guard there to park the car, as they walked into the building.
As they entered the lobby, they found a man walking towards them. He lightly nodded and introduced himself as the assistant of the general manager. " The GM is waiting for you in his office. Please follow me. "
Ning Mei and Yu Lian nodded as they walked in. They keenly looked around they surrounding and seemed genuinely impressed. To think that, this jewellery brand was only six years old and already internationally renowned.
From what she knew from Gu Yehan, he was only eighteen when he started this brand. He wanted to follow his brother’s footsteps, who had started managing the business with their father, when he was only fifteen.
Meilei was now six years established. And it was quite a feat in itself. Though, Gu Corporations had most of it’s shares and is the parent company, but it only brought it’s shares three years back after Gu Yehan became the Vice President of Gu Corporations. And till then Meilei had already beome quite a popular brand.
Ning Mei applauded for Gu Yehan in her heart. Though for her, no one could compete to her husband. But her brother in law was also quite an achiever.
On the other side, while Yu Lian seemed calm and composed, she was literally screaming inside her head! Though, she had high plans for her future, she honestly never thought of being able to work with these influential brands so fast!
At this point, Yu Lian’s respect for Ning Mei’s impulsive decisions had sky rocketed. She was crying invisible tears. If she had not married Gu Yeze on impulse, they honestly would never get this chance of working with Meilei!
When they entered Fa Heng’s office, the middle aged man at once stood up and left his table coming forward to greet Ning Mei, " Welcome, Mrs .. "
But his words were cut when he received a wide eyed look, almost like a glare from Ning Mei. The General manager seemed to forget that they were not alone, as the photographer, his assistant, the marketing department manager and the General manager’s assistant were also present there.
Fa Heng’s quickly bit his tongue on realising his mistakes. He was actually too much invested and a little nervous because of the identity she carried. He could not afford to mess it up with the Big Boss’s wife.
Clearing his throat, he corrected himself, " Welcome Miss Ning. " Then turning at her manager, he said, " Good afternoon Miss Yu. We are hoping for a pleasant collaboration. "
Yu Lian was the one who answered and nodded, " We hope the same too, Mr Fa. " Yu Lian almost had a cardiac arrest a second ago. This man was about to spill Ning Mei’s real identity out of his nervousness.
Then he introduced Ning Mei and Yu Lian to each person in the room one by one, and vice versa. Then everybody went to the studio in the building.
Fa Heng had tagged along as well, and that took the other’s by surprise. Why is General manager tagging along with them for this? Was not the marketing manager also present here?
They did not feel it such a big deal for him to tag along. But who could say anything about it.
