Ning Mei then snickered and said, " Tsk. Tsk. You guys are forgetting the most important reason. First I want to overthrow my enemies with my own capabilities, then PAAA! A tight faceslap on their faces, when they learn my real identity! Just like in the novels. "
Yu Lian and Feng Ye grinned. Feng Ye said, " Meimei, you are evil! "
Ning Mei laughed and said, " I never said I was nice."

A couple of days later, Ning Mei was lazing at home, she took off today from every work she had. As she had been doing something or the other for a few days. Either she was running to and fro the set, or she was busy with the Koral photoshoots and paperwork, or she was busy handling Ning Yiyi’s stuff. She needed a full proof plan to expose Ning Yiyi.
So, she decided to stay home and rest today. Ning Mei had only a few unimportant scenes today, so Yu Lian had asked the director if they could shoot the scenes yesterday itself, so they could take off.
Ning Mei wanted to just relax today. As from tomorrow onwards, she was again going to be busy. Yu Lian had found two small capital clothing brand, and a footwear brand. She just had to wear and model it and the brand will share the pictures on their website.
It would not make much of an impact, but Ning Mei did not want to let any opportunity go. Little is always better than nothing at all!
Feng Ye had a fairly good news, in that sense. He helped her get a role in a movie. The role was not too significant but it was still noticable enough. The lead actor in the movie was Chen Yang. And the lead actress was Song Fena. Both of them were established A listers in the industry. Chen Yang was even considered a National Treasure. While Song Fena had worn multiple awards for the best actress. The movie was bound to go a hit!
And the most interesting thing was, she had scenes with Shen Qian. Both of them had the same number of scenes and same frame in the movie. Ning Mei found it funny that even with having Nian Ting, by her side, and spending three whole years in the industry, she still could not make a mark in the industry.
Though, Ning Mei snickered on the second thought. Nian Ting could not really help her openly, because in the eyes of public he was still Yu Lian’s fiance. And him helping other woman would without doubt raise questions.
Also, Ning Mei had herself snatched away her chance and role of the second female lead in LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP. And she sneered evily when she thought of it.
Also, somewhere it was still understandable for her to agree to a supporting character. It would increase her connections. The same thing that Ning Mei had in her mind.
Though, the movie would be released after months, and it would not actually help in her case with Koral. Yet she accepted it to increase her connections.
She had many things in her hand right now. Also with Gu Yehan coming in the picture, she had a little relief. Also, the crew would be starting the promotions from next week. Ning Mei just hope, all these would help her enough.

Ning Mei walked out of the gym, wiping her sweat that dripped from her forehead with a towel.
There were so many perks for marrying an extremely rich husband. She did not have to go to any gym outside.
There was a well equipped gym in the mansion itself.
Ning Mei had eaten a lot these days like a bear. And honestly, she had no plans of going back to her previous weight. She was now more agile and healthy. So, for that she had to maintain it by regularly exercising.
And the rate at which she has been consuming oily and junk food, Ning Mei had to work out 2 extra hours today since early morning for that. Normally, she could not give much time to the exercise, as recently her schedule was so packed up. But when ever she was free, she made sure to burn down the unnecessary calories.
After walking out of the gym , the first thing that she did was take a good bath. She did her weekly skin care, body care and hair care routine. And after almost two hours she walked out of the bathroom wearing a robe, feeling wobbly all over her body.
Ning Mei directly slumped on the bed, her hands
streching over the bed. Her wet hairs were wrapped in a towel. And she stared at the celling. She at this point felt all the calmness and positive energy sweep into her body.
With a happy smile, Ning Mei murmured, " So peaceful. It feels so calm and fresh. Only a girl understands this truly. "
Ning Mei then changed into a comfortable sweatshirt and shorts. She then took her own sweet time air drying her hairs after applying a good serum on them , while she shaped her nails.
Ning Mei heard a knock on her door, which she has pushed close. And she said, " Come in. " A maid walked in with a tray of food. Ning Mei had ordered for a light breakfast, as she did not have it with Gu Yeze while he was having his breakfast l, before he headed to work.
After the maid left, Ning Mei took a comfortable position on her bed with the tray of food in front of her. And she switched on the TV. It has truly been so long since she had relaxed like this.
As she was switching channels, Ning Mei came across a channel broadcasting a drama. It was Feng Ye’s one of the two recent dramas that were aired. She remembered this particular one. It was a drama based on historical times.
Feng Ye had said that he enjoyed the cast a lot and he also used to send her a lot of pictures with his weird costumes. Since then she was indeed looking forward to watch it. But she never really got time.
