By the time, Ning Mei reached the City hospital, Ning Jiming had completely lost his consciousness.
Within no time, he was admitted in the hospital. Ning Mei filled all the formalities, and soon Ning Jiming was taken to the OT, as he had lost a lot of blood and suffered too many external as well as internal injury.
Ning Mei sat out of the OT as Ning Jiming was being operated. She waited, while she held her head in her hands. Her eyes were always wet with tears. Ning Mei did not know what would happen if something had happened to her brother.
Did she delay in bringing him to the hospital? Nothing would go wrong, would it?
Ning Mei completly had lost track of time. All the happy smiles and expectations and excitement of picking up Gu Yeze from the airport was forgotten. Even how could she? How could see remember her happiness and fun when her family was in such a critical condition. And was fighting between life and death.
Ning Mei’s breath was heavy and wavered and she wiped the drop of tears from her eyes. There was a wide window at the end of the corridor. In need of some fresh air, Ning Mei stood up and went to the window. She closed her eyes, as soft wind blew on her face, somewhat soothing the pain and hustle in her chest.
She could not even imagine what would have happened if anything went against the track of time, or of she would not reach the place of incident at that exact moment !
Ning Mei just hated thinking of those possibilities. Infact, she did not want to think of anything else right now. Because, the incidents that occured today, Ning Jiming’s condition and her crying for hours were already giving her an headache right now.
Ning Mei just inhaled some fresh air, and looked at the skies. The sky was clear tonight, with stars twinkling so prettily like diamonds in the sky.
She then saw a plane fly across the sky and smiled. Ning Mei remembered those times when she and Ning Jiming were kids. Ning Mei used to run across the Ning family yard whenever she saw a plane, trying to follow it and catch it. And then obviously when she couldn’t, she would sit on the ground and cry like silly.
Ning Jiming used to see her acting this way and call her Stupid. But then he would also coax her and later make her beautiful paper planes. Those were days.
She watched the plane fly across the sky untill it disappeared from her sight with a smile on her face. But the smile soon disappeared from her face replaced by horror and an idiotic expression. She facepalmed herself. She completely forgot about picking Gu Yeze from the airport.
Ning Mei serched for her phone in the pocket but it was not there. She frowned but then remembered that she had left the phone in the car. Ning Mei was about to go downstairs at the parking lot to get her phone, when the doors of the OT opened and a nurse came out with her serious expression.
On seeing the nurse and her serious expression, Ning Mei walked toward her with an uneasy feeling in her heart.
The nurse saw her and asked, " Are you miss Ning Mei? Are you with the patient? "
Ning Mei nodded and said, "Yes, I am. And the patient is my brother. "
The nurse nodded and then said in a grim voice, " Miss, the patient’s condition is really very critical. "
As soon as Ning Mei heard this, her heart started beating faster and she asked, " What do you mean?"
" Miss, your brother’s condition is very critical. He has lost a lot of blood externally and also had a lot of internal bleeding due to such major injuries. He needs instant blood transfusion, so you need to sign on some documents. Also, this medicine is urgently required, please bring it from the pharmacy. " The nurse explained the situation, while handing over the prescription of the medicine needed to Ning Mei.
