Chapter 3207: Overwhelming Cosmic Burden

Chapter 3207: Overwhelming Cosmic Burden

Date: Unspecified

Time: Unspecified

Location: Myriad Cosmos Corridor, Unknow

"Can you at least tell me how many Primordial Pixies there are in the Myriad Realms and where they are?" I asked BoBo, believing it would save me the trouble of tracking down each and every Primordial Pixie in the Myriad Realms.

"Normally, I would. Since Pixies and World Calamity Trees are two sides of the same coin. However, your cosmos’s Pixies are now cursed and held captive by the barred beings. I can’t divulge their information to you without establishing causality between your realm and the Myriad Cosmos Corridor," BoBo said, returning to nest and play in my hair.

I walked through the white landscape with the intent to explore while asking BoBo, "I’m guessing you can’t tell me how the barred beings were able to curse the bloodline of the entire Primordial Pixie race in the Myriad Realms."

"I told you already, they tricked them. It’s the same old, same old," BoBo repeated lazily.

"Honey, I will need a bit more information than that to see if I can also use a similar method to undo their curse once and for all," I said, noticing that I seemed to be going nowhere in the white landscape. There was no entry, no exit, and no landmarks. It had nothing. I felt like I was running in circles. I’m guessing I can’t leave this landscape if BoBo doesn’t want me to.

"I can’t tell you more than I already have without—"

"...without establishing causality between your realm and the Myriad Cosmos Corridor. Yeah, I know."

For a moment, I regretted not deleting the memory containing the greeting from the World Calamity Tree from the Realm of True Evil and going about my work, as it was becoming more and more obvious to me that the World Calamity Tree’s access to the Myriad Cosmos Corridor was just enough to meet their designated Primordial Pixie and get assigned more work.

I felt that somehow I had become a cosmic corporate slave, and my current circumstances were worse than those of an Earth corporate slave. At least they got Saturdays and Sundays off, got paid at month’s end, and were compensated for overtime regardless of the job done and the results, with lavish perks and benefits and a guaranteed work-life balance. But for me, I could hardly differentiate between my work and my life. I just wished that someone or something would cut me a break.

I suddenly slapped my cheeks. The weight of the entire cosmos was overwhelming even for my shoulders, but I could not falter now.

Besides, it was not all that bad. I finally knew how I could achieve my dream of living a chill life.

All I had to do was expand my conquest from Card World to the entire Myriad Realms, becoming a Cosmic Calamity Tree.

Since the Myriad Realms didn’t have a path to transcendence, they would never become a part of the Myriad Cosmos War.

As for when the Myriad Realms were about to reach their natural end, I would just find another beautiful cosmos with no path to transcendence and move there with my loved ones and people, continuing my chill life in a new cosmos.

This was better than dying without knowing what killed you.

Now, I knew

What I wanted.

What I needed to do.

As for how I would achieve both?

Screw the Barred Beings and their forces! I would turn them into my bloodkins and daughter gems. Since they didn’t care about anyone else but themselves, why should I care about them? If that wasn’t enough to save the cosmos, I would turn the entire Myriad Realms into my bloodkins or daughter gems.

’Whoa, stop right there!’ I guess this cosmic burden was really getting to me. For the first time in my life, I understood the words ’knowing too much.’

The only solace in all this was knowing that I still had a century to free the Primordial Pixies and fix things.

Considering that I had already reached the Myriad Cosmos Corridor within months of my transmigration to the Myriad Realms, I think saving an entire Myriad Realm in a century shouldn’t be that far-fetched for me.

"Yes, you can do it, Wyatt!" BoBo cheered from atop my head, causing the corners of my lips and eyes to twitch violently. Fortunately for her, Pixies were simply too cute. And like all beings, I too had a lot more tolerance for cute things.

"Enough about what I can do," I said, grabbing the Pixie from atop my head and bringing her before my eyes to ask, "Let us talk about what you can do for me. Can you unlock an overpowered skill or something in my core that I can use to fight the Barred Beings of the Myriad Realms and free the Primordial Pixies from their curse and captivity?"

"Hehehe," BoBo giggled nervously, averting her gaze from meeting mine, adding, "I already taught you the mode of communication in the Myriad Cosmos Corridor and made it so that you can use and understand it in any form you take. Human speech should be possible here, but thanks to your hybrid World Calamity Tree and Celestial Core, regardless of what tongue you use, it gets effortlessly translated into the Myriad Cosmos Corridor mode of communication and vice versa. This way, you don’t have to switch to your World Calamity Tree form to understand and remember any conversation that takes place in this mode of communication. I.e., you can not only transform into any form now, but you can also speak in any tongue in any of your forms. Is that enough?"

Honestly, this was more than I was expecting from BoBo, especially after having heard her say that the World Calamity Tree from the Realm of True Evil had come to the Myriad Cosmos Corridor four times to save itself from certain death and was still struggling in the Realm of True Evil.

Seeing me take too long to respond, BoBo anxiously remarked, "Wyatt, this is already the most I can do for you without establishing causality between your realm and the Myriad Cosmos Corridor."
