Chapter 3206: Fate Or Bobo?
Chapter 3206: Fate Or Bobo?
Date: Unspecified
Time: Unspecified
Location: Myriad Cosmos Corridor, Unknow
Right now, I felt like BoBo had told me my home was on fire and where the fire extinguisher was, and that if I put the fire out within the next minute, the damage would be minimal, only for her to add sarcastically that I didn’t have to put it out if I didn’t want to.
I didn’t know Primordial Pixies knew the meaning of sarcasm, let alone how to be sarcastic.
I suddenly grabbed BoBo out of my hair and pinched her cheeks, saying, "You already know what I will do, you cheeky little Pixie. So, tell me what I need to do to free the pixies from the bloodline curse placed on them by the Barred Beings."
"Aw," BoBo moaned in pain. I let go of her cheeks, only for her to giggle in amusement. She was completely different from the pixies I knew. Innocent and naive, but also wise and mysterious.
Even though I had awakened my World Calamity Tree bloodline and arrived at the Myriad Cosmos Corridor of my own volition, I couldn’t help feeling that a mysterious hand was at play and that it belonged to none other than BoBo.
"I already told you how. Your calamity fragrance and fruits are the cure to the bloodline curse," BoBo said as she ran back to nest in my hair after I let go of her.
"You expect me to feed my calamity fruit to every Primordial Pixie in the myriad realms?" I asked her in disbelief.
I had no idea how many tribes of Primordial Pixies there were in the myriad realms or where the Librarian had stashed them all. I didn’t think the Librarian and his forces would stand by and watch as I cured the Primordial Pixies of the curse he had placed on them.
First off, from BoBo’s tone, it didn’t seem like the Librarian was alone in this whole conspiracy. Secondly, I only had a century to cure all the Primordial Pixies and get them to restore balance to the cosmos. That meant curing them of the curse wasn’t enough. I also had to deal with every Barred Being who stupidly believed they could take other original energies from the Pixies, comprehend them, and find the path to transcendence.
The list of enemies I needed to face didn’t just include the most powerful beings of the myriad realms, the Barred Beings, but also the Demon Merchant Code, the sentient spell whose range covered the entire known myriad realms. They had all long since achieved the peak of the Myriad Realm.
Forget these Barred Beings. At my present strength, I didn’t dare to face their forces spread across the Myriad Realms. Just thinking about it made me lightheaded. I had my work cut out for me.
"BoBo, the World Calamity Tree from my memory, do you know it?" I asked BoBo to confirm the suspicion that had been growing in my heart.
"Yes, it came here before you, a couple of centuries ago in your cosmos’s time period. The realm it is in is very dangerous. It has already come here four times now to save itself from certain death. I guess that was why that World Calamity Tree was happy to see you, but you misunderstood and ran away," BoBo replied honestly, without any inconsistency in her voice.
Prompting me to ask her, "When you first saw the World Calamity Tree in my memories, why did you give me the impression that it was your first time seeing it? Or is it just me overthinking it?"
"Did I? Maybe, if you felt that. But I didn’t intend to give you that impression," BoBo explained. And I didn’t feel like she was lying to me.
The Primordial Pixies were famous for not being able to lie. However, I got the feeling that it was a common misconception because BoBo had tricked me enough times.
Like the first time I met BoBo, she ate the calamity fruit and pretended to have become my calamity seed, but I didn’t feel the connection between us and saw through her trick immediately, making me believe she was a Dark Pixie. Similarly, she tried and succeeded in tricking me during our conversations a few more times, though it was mostly because she could read my mind.
That goes to show that it wasn’t that the Primordial Pixies couldn’t lie, but that they simply didn’t lie because they didn’t need to. Even when cursed and having forgotten who they were and what they were capable of, they didn’t lie despite the Dark Races treating them like shit in the Infinity Library.
I shook my head. Regardless of whether this was BoBo’s plan, I was just glad that I got to learn that the Myriad Realm was on the brink of facing a Cosmic Apocalypse and that I could do something about it, even though it was something impossible for the current me.
I still had a century. I had achieved near ruler-class strength in under a year.
"BoBo, can you tell me just how many Barred Beings are involved in cursing the Primordial Pixies and who they are?" I asked, hoping maybe not all Barred Beings were in on cursing the Primordial Pixies. If so, I might be able to recruit them on my side. That would be a start.
"No, I can’t tell you that. It would establish a causality between your realm and the Myriad Cosmos Corridor, creating an external pull that would increase the rate of expansion of the Myriad Realms, which are already expanding faster than they should due to having more energy than matter."
BoBo flew out of my hair and shook her tiny head vigorously before explaining to me.
"I have already told you everything you can know without establishing causality between your realm and the Myriad Cosmos Corridor. I did my job. The rest is up to you."
I looked at BoBo in disbelief, feeling like she had passed the cosmic buck to me and washed her hands of it.
