Chapter 3046: Unstoppable Glacier
Chapter 3046: Unstoppable Glacier

Fusion Jaya was locked in a fierce clash with Fusion Corey, while Fusion Aurelia faced Lil’ Baem.
Or rather, Lil’ Baem was simply toying with Aurelia. The latter’s unstoppable golden glacier attacks simply ceased to exist against the former’s vapour venom. Aurelia was getting creative to get the snake, but it was covered in vapour venom, like a snake riding a cloud.
Also, whenever Fusion Jaya managed to gain the upper hand and seemed on the verge of defeating Corey, the little snake would casually slither into the fray and release a burst of Vapor Venom, forcing Jaya back and giving Corey enough breathing room to recover.
It was less a two-on-two battle and more Lil’ Baem indulging its favorite human. The three of them were so engrossed in their fight that none of them noticed me approaching.
Focused wasn’t the right word. Blinded by their own turbulent emotions was far more accurate. The vulgar insults they continuously hurled at one another made that abundantly clear. Had they truly been focused, they would have sensed my presence the instant I entered Aqualas’s domain.
Instead, their judgment had been clouded by anger. That gave me the perfect opportunity. Without making a sound, I activated my Soul Pupils and condensed three Soul Energy projectiles. They streaked across the battlefield like invisible arrows.
One, two, three, each Soul Energy projectile struck with flawless precision, severing the resonance sustaining their fusion forms. Their fusions unraveled one after another, returning Jaya, Corey, and Aurelia to their original bodies before any of them realized what had happened.
Meanwhile, the three Card Spirits materialized beside their hosts and fixed me with unmistakable glares. These ungrateful creations of mine.
The truth was, I hadn’t resorted to force immediately. Before taking action, I had mentally contacted the Card Spirits through our spiritual connection, instructing them to disengage from the fusion and end the fight. Every single one of them had ignored me completely.
That left me with little choice but to intervene personally. It also served as a reminder that I didn’t need their cooperation to undo the fusion if I truly wanted to. Realizing that, the three Frosling Corpse Puppet Card Spirits no longer ignored me as they usually did. Instead, they glared at me with obvious displeasure. I merely returned an amused smile. They were fortunate that I was a generous crafter.
Had they belonged to almost anyone else, openly disobeying and looking down on their creator would have ended with them being dismantled and remade from scratch. Instead, all they received from me was a silent reminder. No matter how independent they became, I was still the one who had created them.
"Boss, when did you get here?" Aurelia asked, panic flashing across her face as she instinctively straightened her posture.
"Wyatt, I swear I’ve been training my Rule Immunity against Faith the entire week. This was just... a short break..." Jaya’s voice gradually faded. Even she found her own excuse difficult to believe.
"Damn it, Wyatt!" Corey clutched her chest dramatically. "That hurt! Do you want me to shoot your soul? Let me see how you will feel. It freaking hurts!"
She exaggerated every word and cry, clearly trying to earn sympathy and dodge responsibility for turning a training session into a brawl.
"Jaya," I said, ignoring Corey’s theatrics, "return to your training. I’ll be watching your progress. If it doesn’t meet my expectations, Veerott and Peyote are more than enough for the mission."
"Yes, Boss." Jaya immediately nodded and left without another word. As she passed Corey, she shot her a murderous glare. Catching the subtle, smug smile tugging at Corey’s lips, Jaya’s fists tightened until her knuckles turned white.
Had I not been standing there, she probably would have punched every last tooth out of Corey’s mouth.
"Now then..." Only after Jaya had left did I shift my gaze to the remaining two troublemakers. My eyes settled on Aurelia before moving to Corey. "What business do you two have here? Don’t you have your work to attend to?"
"Boss, I want to join the mission to the Dark Realm," Aurelia said hurriedly. "I’ve discovered that my Unstoppable Glacier can freeze Faith itself. Effectively restraining Faith users."
She could barely hide the excitement in her voice as she reported the breakthrough born from the synergy between her unstoppable bloodline and her Card Spirit’s frost abilities.
I simply looked at her. The Hive Spirit had already informed me of the discovery. So her report came as neither a surprise nor a delight.
Not because it lacked value, but because she was overestimating its effectiveness. If her bloodline purity were higher, her confidence would have been justified. Unfortunately, it wasn’t.
"I know," I replied calmly. "Redfall already submitted his report."
"He also concluded that your Unstoppable Glacier is sufficient to contend with ordinary devil or Demigod Faith users." I paused before continuing. "But it isn’t enough for the mission we’re about to undertake."
"So your request is denied." I met her gaze without softening my expression. "Continue training against Faith users here."
The disappointment on Aurelia’s face was impossible to miss. For the briefest moment, her shoulders slumped, and the light in her eyes dimmed. Even so, she quickly gathered herself. A bright smile returned to her face as though nothing had happened.
"I understand, Boss," she said with a respectful bow.
Once Aurelia jogged off to continue training under Redfall and get some much-needed rest, I turned my attention to Lil’ Baem.
The little snake had been circling me in her miniature form for quite some time now, occasionally stopping to sniff at me before resuming her lazy orbit.
"What’s wrong with her?" I asked.
"She says you’re carrying something delicious," Corey replied with a grin. "What is it?"
The instant those words left her mouth, Lil’ Baem shot toward the inner pocket of my coat. I instinctively leaned back to dodge her. Too late, she was far too fast.
A moment later, a tightly intertwined ball of snakes tumbled out of my inner coat pocket, rolling across us while black and silver mist continuously seeped from the writhing mass.
