"Hold on." Xie Ning’s eyelid twitched. Sensing her boyfriend was about to do something absurd, she hastily erected a golden wall behind her to block everyone else’s view.
Gu Chen raised his hand to demonstrate. Xie Ning saw with her own eyes as wisps of black energy drilled out from his palm.
The black energy instantly obliterated the thin coffin before them, reducing it to splinters. In the same silent moment, it tore several bone-deep cracks into the thick, snow-covered ground beneath.
Xie Ning’s pupils contracted, and she couldn’t help but hold her breath.
At the same time, as a wisp of black energy entered the zombie’s body, the previously motionless creature suddenly opened its grayish-white eyes.
Of course, the next second, an expressionless Gu Chen sent a Thunder Strike straight through its brain, and it fell back onto the fissure-covered ground.

After Wu Meng made his smooth escape, Gu Chen, his face etched with distress, sidled up to Xie Ning. "Ningning, isn’t my situation just tragic? Awakening such a completely useless superpower."

"By ’control,’ you mean not using it at all," Xie Ning said, giving him a speechless look.
Gu Chen’s face soured. "You just saw. Besides destroying things, my ability also recharges zombies."
