After hearing people secretly plotting, Nina Jacobs didn’t go looking for them.
For one, she didn’t know who the voices belonged to.
For another, she wanted to observe their strength.
These gunshots and explosions must be their first step.
"Nina, did you hear that noise?"
Outside the bedroom door, Cordelia knocked and spoke.
Nina Jacobs opened the door. Cordelia was surprised to see that she was already dressed in black.
The sleek black outfit gave her a breathtaking charm.
"I heard. Silas Crowley, Tobin, you two get ready."
Nina Jacobs said.
’Ready?’
Although the two didn’t know what was happening, they quickly got dressed and geared up.
Seeing the excited expressions on their faces, Reginald Sutton and Cordelia also grew eager to join in.
"You two stay here and watch Lexy and Zoraida,
and don’t come out no matter what you hear."
After speaking, Nina Jacobs took out two comms headsets and gave one each to Silas Crowley and Tobin.
"We’ll split up later. Try to use these to communicate."
With that, Nina Jacobs led Wayne Warner, Silas Crowley, and Tobin quietly out the back door.
"So, where are we going now?"
Silas Crowley had no idea what was going on.
"You two provide support from outside the Correctional Pods.
I’m going somewhere else first."
After giving a few more instructions, Nina Jacobs ran toward the base’s administrative center.
A number of guards had already gathered there. Someone was giving orders, and Arcadia White and Wyatt Holden were also present.
"What happened?"
Nina Jacobs and Wayne Warner walked up, and she quietly asked someone nearby.
"Someone’s causing trouble in the base, and a riot has broken out at the Correctional Pods.
Mrs. White is sending people to suppress it now."
Oswin Coleman replied.
"I see."
The moment the words left Nina Jacobs’s mouth, she heard someone call her name.
It was Mrs. White.
"Captain Jacobs, you’re just in time. You’re more familiar with the Correctional Pods,
so you take some people over there too.
If you run into any troublemakers, just kill them."
Arcadia White said, looking at her.
"Alright."
Nina Jacobs agreed.
’Too?’
’Looks like someone has already gone to the Correctional Pods.’
Nina Jacobs took a total of sixty-some men.
Sure enough, the outside of the Correctional Pods was already surrounded.
BOOM!
A massive explosion came from behind them, and Nina Jacobs immediately led her sixty-plus men toward the sound.
It was a low wall, now blasted to ashes.
"All of you, guard this spot. We’re going in to check the situation."
Nina Jacobs commanded.
"Yes!"
Hearing the sixty-some men respond, Nina Jacobs’s lips curled into a smirk.
’The explosion here was just a diversion.’
’Making them stand guard is a useless effort.’
’But this was exactly what she wanted. This way, the base guards wouldn’t have to go in and join the slaughter.’
When Nina Jacobs entered the Correctional Pods, the inside was already in absolute chaos.
"Theseus York!"
Theseus York was a tall guy, so he was easy to spot.
Nina Jacobs ran over and saw tears welling in the corners of his eyes.
"Wendy... those people beat... beat her to death."
Theseus York said.
"Where are Zachary Sterling and the others?"
Nina Jacobs didn’t have time to ask what happened. The "those people" Theseus York mentioned were most likely the first group Mrs. White sent. She could already hear gunshots and fighting from deeper inside.
"Nina Jacobs, Theseus York, we’re over here."
Just then, Sophia Spencer ran over.
Zachary Sterling and the others followed behind her.
"We were just about to find a place to hide."
Sophia Spencer felt like they were just being shoved back and forth by the chaotic crowd.
In the narrow corridor, some people were trying to push deeper inside, while a small number were trying to squeeze toward the exit.
Many people were excitedly trying to see what the commotion was about, but they just wanted to find a place to hide and stay safe.
"Hide? What for? We should be using this chance to escape."
Nina Jacobs said.
’Escape?!’
Everyone was shocked.
"But aren’t there people guarding the outside?" Zachary Sterling asked.
"Yeah, that White woman just said they’ll shoot anyone who goes out."
Manfred added.
"If someone starts a riot, they naturally leave an escape route open beforehand."
With that, Nina Jacobs ran off in a certain direction.
She also wanted to see if the escape route they had prepared was safe.
She was fairly familiar with the Correctional Pods and quickly used the chaos to get to a place she had been before.
Just ahead was the morgue where she had rescued Naomi Summers.
"Nina Jacobs, could it be you’re..."
Zachary Sterling quickly realized something.
’Could Nina Jacobs have been involved in this riot?’
"It wasn’t me. I just happened to overhear their plan."
Nina Jacobs went to the space under the stairwell where she had told Naomi Summers to hide, and sure enough, it had been broken through.
Several more explosions sounded nearby. Taking advantage of the distraction, Nina Jacobs released two Little Zombie Rats to scout ahead.
"This should lead to the sealed incinerator. Can we get out this way?"
Manfred remembered this place. The black smoke they often saw from inside the Correctional Pods came from here.
Nina Jacobs nodded.
"Yes. Follow the left wall for about six meters, and you’ll find an exit. Once you’re out, don’t rush toward the main gate. Go to the collective dormitories first and find a place to hide..."
In the darkness, Nina Jacobs spoke to the thirty-some people before her.

Meanwhile, Nina Jacobs was running toward the fighting arena.
But at a corner, she ran into two confronting groups.
To her right was Drake Shaw with a few of his men. She also recognized the person on her left.
It was Dominic Sloan.
Dominic Sloan was the opponent she had faced in her first match of the fighting tournament, and also the one who had warned her that Montague would use poison.
He was shielding several people behind him who were supporting each other, looking injured.
Strands of Metal Threads were strung between the corridor walls, blocking Drake Shaw’s path.
"Captain Jacobs, you’re just in time.
These people were just trying to escape. I chased them here.
You two hold them off. I’m going to help Vice-Commander Ambrose White."
Drake Shaw said impatiently upon seeing Nina Jacobs.
"Sure, leave them to me."
A Diamond Sand Spike formed in Nina Jacobs’s hand, and with a wave, she attacked Dominic Sloan and his group.
Seeing this, Drake Shaw quickly left, smirking inwardly.
’Dominic Sloan’s metal threads are quite formidable; both of my arms are injured. It’s better to dump this on Nina Jacobs and take all the credit for myself later.’
BANG!
A Gold Spike clashed with a Diamond Sand Spike. Dominic Sloan fought back against Nina Jacobs without a word.
He knew he couldn’t beat Nina Jacobs, but he had no way to retreat now.
"There’s an exit under the stairwell ahead. If you’re going, go now."
Nina Jacobs said quickly.
Dominic Sloan’s eyes widened. He had also heard that Nina Jacobs was being heavily utilized by the base, but he never expected her to help him like this.
"Consider it a thank-you gift for your earlier warning."
Nina Jacobs turned and walked in the direction Drake Shaw had gone.
She had broken Dominic Sloan’s winning streak, but he had still spoken up to warn her, proving he was worth saving.
