Qin Chu immediately understood what Rick meant.

His expression fell. “No.”

“When do you plan on telling her? Or are you planning to keep it a secret forever? The key though is, are you capable of keeping this secret from her forever? Huo Mian is a smart girl; she’ll figure it out eventually.”

“I know, but I just don’t think it’s the right timing yet… We just got back together and are so in love like how we used to be… I don’t want to destroy this. I don’t want her to be sad because of me.”

“Huo Mian sure is blessed… You’re always putting her first… She comes before yourself…”

Rick respected Qin Chu for his care and persistence over Huo Mian.

What Qin Chu had wasn’t something an ordinary person had; it was a terrifyingly strong level of willpower.

Qin Chu chuckled and said, “She’s the best thing that has ever happened to me… Why would I want to lose her?”

When Rick saw how happy Qin Chu and Huo Mian were, he thought of his love for Xixi and their relationship; he felt a sharp pain in his chest.

Qin Chu quietly went back upstairs after having a drink with Rick.

Huo Mian was sound asleep. He quietly snuck into their bed and hugged her from behind, afraid that he would wake her up.

It seemed like Qin Chu relied on Huo Mian more than Huo Mian relied on Qin Chu.

Only when Huo Mian was by his side would he feel safe.

The next morning, by the time Huo Mian and Qin Chu got out of bed, Rick’s butler had already prepared a delicious breakfast for them.

The three were enjoying breakfast when they heard a loud car sound from outside.

“Sir, that’s Ms. Luna’s car,” the butler looked outside and reported to Rick.

“Okay.” Rick didn’t seem to care as he continued eating.

Qin Chu and Huo Mian looked at each other, but neither one of them asked.

Soon, a girl in a nude pink dress came walking in from the front door.

She was Caucasian and with blonde hair and blue eyes… she looked very young.

Her skin was like porcelain and she had pronounced facial features; she looked just like a barbie doll.

“Wow Rick. It’s sure lively here. Are they your guests?”

“They’re my friends.” Rick picked up a napkin and wiped his mouth.

“Friends? Wow… are they friends you met in China?” the girl said in fluent English.

“Yeah.”

“Can you introduce me to them? I’ve never met any of your friends here at your place.” She smiled and seemed very curious about Huo Mian and Qin Chu.

Huo Mian smiled back.

Rick didn’t seem to like the girl that much but she was too enthusiastic to ignore so he stood up and introduced, “These are my friends from China, Qin Chu and Huo Mian.”

“Hi, I’m Luna… Rick’s fiancée,” the girl introduced herself before Rick could.

“Fiancée? Oh… Rick, why didn’t you tell us that you were engaged?” Huo Mian was shocked. She first looked at Rick, then at Qin Chu.

Qin Chu looked confused too; he obviously had no intel on this.

“Luna, what are you blabbering about?” Rick furrowed his brows, looking discontent.

“What? Did I say something wrong?” The girl stood high and looked provocative.

“You’re not my fiancée yet… Please mind your words. Don’t scare my friends.”

“I’ll be your fiancée soon… I heard Daddy talk to you and he wants us to get married… It’s good for my family and yours. You said you would consider it!”

When Qin Chu heard this, he suddenly came to a realization. He looked at Luna and asked, “Are you from the Frank Family?”
