Chapter 610 - 590: Anti-Magic!
Chapter 610: Chapter 590: Anti-Magic!
At the other end of the battlefield.
Fierce light surged in Kesuga’s eyes as he stared at the two Steel Giants charging at high speed from the rear.
The PX-5s, Xiong Er and Xiong San, flew through the void like two rapidly flying iron mountains. The overwhelming, crushing pressure of their sheer mass rolled over him from hundreds of kilometers away.
He thought, "Not these lumps of iron again!"
Last time, it was a white Angel Golem and another Golem hidden in the shadows that had uprooted the foundation he had spent a century building.
Old grudges and new debts burned wildly in his chest, morphing into a tyrannical shriek.
"Perfect timing! Do you really think I have no way to deal with you lumps of iron!"
Kesuga ignored his fleet, which was already in a desperate situation, and focused entirely on these two newly appeared Dawn Star Level Golems.
GLUG GLUG!
He spread his arms, and a massive amount of blood erupted from his body. The Blood Law was pushed to its absolute limit, creating a crimson ocean that spread madly through the void with him at the center.
One hundred kilometers, five hundred kilometers, a thousand kilometers...
A small Star Domain was dyed a sickening dark red. Vengeful spirits shrieked mournfully in the depths of the plasma, while severed limbs tossed and churned in the bloody waves.
This was the materialized application of his Power of Laws as a Morning Star Wizard—the Crimson Blood Realm.
Within this sea of blood, he was the absolute ruler.
"Melt them!"
With a mere thought, Kesuga caused the thousand-kilometer sea of blood to surge violently, transforming into a towering, earth-shattering bloody tidal wave that crashed down upon the charging Xiong Er and Xiong San!
This wave carried not only the crushing weight of billions of tons of the tide, but each drop of blood also contained the corrosive power of his Blood Law. It was enough to instantly dissolve steel into pus and corrupt souls into vengeful ghosts.
However, the expected scene of melting steel and collapsing Golems did not occur.
The furious bloody wave crashed solidly against the armor of the two Heavy Armored Golems as if the sky were falling, and then... it behaved just like an ordinary splash of water hitting a timeless reef.
SPLASH!
The bloody water slid off the cold metal surfaces of their Silent Extinction Silver Armor without raising even a wisp of white smoke. There was no sizzling sound of corrosion, no twisting or crumbling of metal structures. Even the paint on the armor hadn’t dulled in the slightest.
The ferocious sneer on Kesuga’s lips suddenly froze.
Through his connection to the sea of blood, he sensed that the two iron mountains were like black holes devouring everything. The moment the sea of blood touched them, the Magic Power within was forcibly drained and repelled by an unimaginably tyrannical force!
He thought in horror, "Has my sea of blood failed?!"
"How is this even possible?!"
In the split second that Kesuga’s mind reeled in shock, the two massive iron peaks deep within the sea of blood moved.
CLANG!
They simultaneously raised their Meteor II Ship-Slicing Blades. Reflected in the blood plasma, the dark red Gold-Devouring Copper Blades gleamed with a chilling, bloodthirsty edge.
Engines at full power, their exhaust flames burned the void!
The two eighty-six-meter-tall iron mountains carved two perfectly straight wakes in the sea of blood, forcibly slicing apart the cascading, furious tides of the Crimson Blood Realm.
Meanwhile.
Sara, the Blood Hand, intercepted Xiong Da and Xiong Si as they shot toward her from the frontline battlefield.
Since they were trained by the same master, her abilities shared the same origin as Kesuga’s. However, her application was geared more toward mid-range combat. Blood as thick as mercury materialized out of thin air around her body, constantly surging.
"Blood Prison Thousandfold Kill!"
The highly compressed blood streams intertwined, instantly solidifying into hundreds of high-speed twisting bloody spears. They attacked from all directions, aiming to mangle the weak joints of the two Golems.
Immediately after, several massive bloody hands reached out from the sea of blood beneath her feet, grasping toward the two Golems in an attempt to bleed off their charging momentum.
Sara herself transformed into a streak of crimson light shooting through the void. The tissues of her right arm completely mutated and elongated, forming a Blood Scythe over thirty meters long. Carrying a chilling, sharp gleam capable of slicing through Star Gold, she slashed directly at Xiong Da’s head!
In an instant, she unleashed ultimate killing intent.
However...
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
An endless barrage of metallic explosions echoed endlessly through the void, using the blood as a medium. The noise made Sara’s eardrums ache.
Only a few tiny sparks scattered across the surface of Xiong Da’s Silent Extinction Silver Armor. The Blood Blade, which was sharp enough to slice through Star Gold, wasn’t even sufficient to polish this lump of iron.
The massive Blood Scythe aimed at its head was forcibly shattered by the solid outer armor. Sara clearly sensed that the Magic Power contained within the edge of the Blood Blade was neutralized and erased by an invisible force the exact moment it struck the target. Only pure piercing force remained, and that meager physical impact could not even begin to shake armor of this thickness.
The muscles at the corners of Sara’s eyes twitched violently.
"Forbidden Magic Metals?!" Her voice betrayed a hint of uncontainable horror.
Before she had the chance to retreat, the steel wings on the backs of Xiong Da and Xiong Si suddenly detached.
Sixteen Dragon Cavalry floating units, encased in shells made of Silent Extinction Silver, carved out impossible sharp-angle arcs. Like sixteen deadly nails, they firmly pinned themselves to critical nodes across a three-kilometer radius.
Invisible force fields intertwined into a net. The Forbidden Magic Field took shape, instantly forming a Magic Silence Zone.
Sara’s body sank heavily. She felt the flow of Magic Power around her become as sluggish as mud. Even the fundamental resonance between her spirit and the Blood Law was forcibly cut off by more than seventy percent by an unseen, heavy iron curtain!
Xiong Da and Xiong Si didn’t give her a single moment to catch her breath. The thick armor plates on their chests slid open to the sides, revealing pitch-black cannons.
Inside the cannon barrels lined with Burning Stream Copper, blazing energy vortexes mercilessly began to gather.
The starry sea was pitch-black, and the fires of war raged like a furnace.
Localized skirmishes carved this battlefield into clearly defined sectors.
The highest-end duel unfolded between the Skeleton Duke’s White Bone Giant Statue and No. 18 along with Thanatos.
In the secondary Dawn Star Battlefield, the two once-infamous Black Wizards were tightly pinned down by two PX-5s respectively.
Their earth-shattering Witchcraft was so utterly countered that they felt incredibly stifled. They could only watch helplessly as those four lumps of iron rampaged through their sea of blood domain. If these intruders had been living creatures with blood in their bodies, they would have been tortured in every conceivable way by now. But right now, even breaking through their defenses was an impossible dream.
In the vast outer battlefield, the scales of war had already irreversibly tipped.
Twelve thousand heavy PX-3s formed a cold steel precipice, and the tides of energy spewed by nearly a hundred thousand Dragon Cavalry Floating Cannons completely overwhelmed the enemy’s remaining front lines.
BOOM!
Another muffled explosion rocked the void. Of the Skeleton Duke’s Fleet’s five remaining battleships, two more were directly blown apart in the second volley.
Countless Black Wizards and Low-tier Undead who had just flown out of the battleships were instantly vaporized by the crisscrossing net of firepower before they even caught a glimpse of the enemy.
The thirty Freedom Gundams and five Gabriels turned into the most efficient elite harvesters.
ROAR! A White Bone Sub-dragon over a hundred meters long struggled out of a crippled battleship, ghostly blue Soul Fire dancing wildly in its eye sockets.
It opened its massive jaws, preparing to spew its Death Dragon Breath capable of freezing souls, but three Freedom Gundams arrived in a flash like ghosts.
With their Anti-Gravity Flight Rune Arrays operating at full power, the three mechs traced sharp-angled zigzags through the void, completely defying inertia and evading the dragon’s lock-on.
The Dragon Cavalry Floating Cannons on their backs scattered with a blast. In mid-air, the Floating Cannons wove an airtight net of beam firepower.
ZAP ZAP ZAP!
The high-intensity Magic Flow swept over the dragon like machine-gun fire, interrupting its breathing motion.
Immediately after, one of the Freedom Gundams drew its Meteor High-Frequency Vibration Ship-Slicing Blade. The mech transformed into a bolt of silver lightning, neatly slicing the massive dragon bone skull in two with a single clean strike.
In another sector of airspace, over a hundred surviving Black Wizards formed a joint Defense Array, attempting to withstand this unreasonable torrent of steel.
Three Gabriels noticed this tough bone to chew and immediately rushed over.
They hovered in the distance like gods judging the world. Even amidst the artillery fire, their white porcelain-like armor remained spotless.
[Form Three: Long-Range Bombardment - Angel’s Chant]
The three Gabriels simultaneously brought their arms together, palms facing each other. A deep, hymn-like chant echoed through the void.
The next second, three pure white Magic Beams, each over a dozen meters in diameter, surged forth. They merged into a single devastating pillar of light that slammed dead center into the Black Wizards’ joint array.
Faced with this pure violence, the joint Defense Array didn’t even hold for half a second before shattering like a fragile bubble.
As the beam swept past, the Black Wizards were vaporized on the spot before they could even let out a scream, leaving only a trail of glowing orange-red embers in the void.
The victory was sealed. The only remaining suspense was exactly how many seconds these Dawn Star Level preys could hold out in this cold killing field.
