Wizard: Building a Golem Legion From Zero

Chapter 536 - 521: Seeing the Law Again

Chapter 536: Chapter 521: Seeing the Law Again

The Demon Legion surged forward like an unstoppable crimson tide.

Sargeras took a step.

BOOM!

The earth groaned in agony beneath His feet. Bottomless rifts spiderwebbed in all directions from His point of impact. Though His movements appeared sluggish, each stride covered hundreds of meters. He trampled the scorched earth, marching straight toward Cybertron.

As He walked upon the land, mountains and rivers cleaved open before Him, and the sky trembled in His presence. His objective was clear: destroy the source endlessly churning out these steel constructs, and crush the Morning Star Wizard cowering behind them.

"Is he coming for me?" Allen murmured, his eyes heavy with gravity as he sat in the Commander’s seat. "Jarvis, report the estimated time of contact."

"Enemy vanguard legion estimated to enter main cannon range in four minutes and thirty seconds. Sargeras’s main body estimated to arrive at the city walls in eleven minutes," Jarvis reported.

"All perimeter forces, abandon resistance and return to the city immediately! Cybertron, enter maximum war readiness!"

Following his orders, the earth surrounding Cybertron began to tremble violently.

During the "Super Construction" project three months ago, driven by his acute fear of insufficient firepower, Allen had armed all of Cybertron into a steel porcupine bristling with lethal defenses, guaranteeing bloodshed for anyone foolish enough to touch it. Having witnessed his mentor Mercer’s fortress unleash its full firepower with his own eyes, Allen had never slacked on Cybertron’s defenses from the day it was born.

"Initiate the Final Defense Line Protocol!"

RUMBLE!

Accompanied by a deafening roar akin to a massive earthquake and the teeth-setting screech of grinding metal, three circular steel walls erupted from the ground, forging an insurmountable chasm between heaven and earth.

The first wall stood twenty meters tall. The Anti-Witchcraft Force Field engraved on its surface flickered with a faint light. This technology, stripped directly from a Purification Battleship, was specifically designed to counter Magic bombardments.

The second wall reached fifty meters in height and was equipped with built-in AT Field Generators.

The third—the main city wall—towered at eighty meters. Its thickness reached an absurd thirty meters. This dense, massive structure was forged entirely from Radiant Black Steel, standing like a silent mountain to proclaim the majesty of industry and order to the world.

"Deploy the colossal AT Field at maximum power!"

Cybertron’s internal Earth Vein Magic Furnaces unleashed a deafening roar simultaneously. Massive amounts of Magic Power surged through thick Energy Circuits like raging rivers, flooding into the generators within the walls.

HUM.

A translucent Energy Shield, forming a pale gold hexagonal Hive structure, descended like an inverted sky. It seamlessly enveloped the entirety of the massive Cybertron City.

By now, the remnants of the Golem Legion had retreated into the city through reserved channels. Combat-capable units were swiftly transported to the firing platforms of the three defense lines via heavy elevators. The remaining Golems marched orderly into the depths of Cybertron, heading for repairs or to be dismantled and recycled as needed.

Allen immediately activated the Energy Dominance Skill, rapidly recharging the depleted Golem units from afar.

The muzzles of the Peacekeeper PX-3 units preheated once more, while the Spider Slayers clung to the sheer vertical surfaces of the walls, locking onto the distant horizon.

Four minutes passed in a flash.

At the edge of the horizon, sickly green Evil Energy and crimson skin merged into a single line. The berserk Demon vanguard finally crashed into Cybertron’s steel walls like a tsunami!

"Fire," Allen ordered, his voice cold and crisp.

An eardrum-shattering bombardment instantly erupted.

On the surface of the eighty-meter-tall main wall, tens of thousands of armor plates slid open in unison. Revealed beneath was a dense, scalp-numbing array of weaponry. This was Allen’s ultimate replication of his mentor Mercer’s defense system. A Light Beam Gun was positioned every five meters, a Plasma Acceleration Cannon every twenty meters, and a heavy Magic Energy Cannon—connected directly to the Earth Vein Magic Furnaces—every fifty meters.

The firepower of this single wall alone was equivalent to the maximum output of twenty standard Golem Legions firing simultaneously!

The world lost its color.

High-energy beams wove together into a giant, inescapable web of death, instantly blanketing a fan-shaped area thirty kilometers outside the city. Even Demons fortified by Evil Energy could not withstand such extreme heat and fierce bombardment. They were instantly blasted into ash.

The Demon charge ground to a halt.

"ROAR!"

Yet the Demons in the rear trampled over the ashes of their fallen comrades, launching another fearless assault. Bound by Sargeras’s will, they had long since become war machines devoid of fear.

"Heavy Magic Energy Cannons, fire a volley."

Thousands of even thicker, crimson light pillars blasted out with devastating force, skimming the ground and tearing open hundreds of straight vacuum channels. Everything in their path—Demons, rocks, or the earth itself—was completely annihilated by the terrifying energy.

After a single volley, not a single Demon remained standing within thirty kilometers of the city.

As long as the Earth Vein Magic Furnaces kept burning, Cybertron’s firepower would never run dry. Whatever Laws of Evil Energy they relied on, they would be blasted straight down to elementary particles without a single cell left—let’s see them try a Resurrection then!

"Warning! High-energy reaction approaching," Jarvis’s alert interrupted Allen’s thoughts.

Not far away, the three-hundred-meter-tall Demon God had already crossed hundreds of kilometers, arriving at the walls of Cybertron. Sargeras stopped in His tracks, looking down at this massive steel city shrouded in an AT Field and endlessly spewing flames of destruction.

Throughout His long years of conquest, He had destroyed countless Planes and witnessed numerous so-called impenetrable fortresses. However, the sense of order exuding from this city before Him—constructed entirely of metal, gears, and Energy Circuits—filled Him with an instinctive disgust.

He slowly raised His mountain-like hand once again.

At this moment, the sky changed color. The clouds, originally dyed a sickly green by Evil Energy, rapidly faded into an ashen yellow that symbolized decay and termination. It was as if the entire sky was aging.

"Decay." Sargeras uttered a single word.

In an instant, a sickly green fog seemingly composed of countless specks of dust and rust billowed from His palm. Like a plague sweeping across the world, it drifted toward Cybertron. The AT Field, capable of withstanding a meteor strike, was practically nonexistent before this fog. The mist seeped through silently, without stirring a single ripple of energy.

This was neither an energy attack nor a physical impact. It was an erosion born from the concept of a Law.

Inside the bridge, ear-piercing alarms blared in a chaotic chorus.

"Alert! Structural decay detected in the Energy Circuits of the Zone A Light Beam Tower Array!"

"Alert! Zone C Magnetic Storm Coils overloaded! Widespread collapse of internal Rune structures detected!"

"Alert! Seventy-three percent of the main wall’s weapon systems are experiencing unknown malfunctions and are becoming unresponsive!"

On the holographic projection before Allen, the countless blips of light representing Cybertron’s firepower dimmed and died out in massive swathes, like candles snuffed out by a gale.

Atop the walls, the muzzles that had just been spewing deadly flames now emitted screeching metallic wails. Fine cracks surfaced on the precise Energy Circuits; sensor chips flickered erratically before completely burning out; countless interlocking gears inexplicably seized at critical junctions, completely immobilized.

While only the surface of the dense Radiant Black Steel turned to rust, the countless "components" making up this precise killing machine lost their necessary precision under the Power of Laws.

The formerly perfectly coordinated symphony of war instantly degenerated into a discordant cacophony. The deadly web of fire that had covered thirty kilometers instantly grew sparse and chaotic, its power plummeting by over ninety percent!

"ROAR!!!"

Freed from the firepower Suppression, the Demon Legion unleashed another heaven-shaking roar. Trampling their comrades’ charred corpses, they charged through the scattered artillery fire and slammed frantically into Cybertron’s first wall like a bursting dam!

BOOM!

The twenty-meter-tall alloy wall shuddered violently as countless Demons clung to it like geckos, madly tearing at its defensive nodes with their claws and fangs.

Sargeras, the Purgatory Monarch who had lived for countless ages, had demonstrated the true combat style of a Morning Star to Allen in a borderline unreasonable manner.

Evil Energy and Decay.

Two fully realized Powers of Laws.

In His presence, quantity and firepower truly seemed to lose all meaning.

"Alert! The first defense line has been breached!"
