Although he was not having an affair with Lu Yurong, meeting each other in the middle of the night was still something that would leave Xiao Qi mildly uncomfortable. No doubt, he would feel a bit guilty.

Chu Li replied, “His Highness the Crown Prince seems to want to teach me a lesson.”

Chu Li nodded.

Xiao Qi asked, “How are you going to deal with it?”

Chu Li just hmph-ed. “Worst case scenario, I’m gonna need to go back to the Public House for some time.”

Xiao Qi frowned as she whined, “Then, why don’t you take the initiative and go back. By retreating earlier, you can avoid him.”

Chu Li replied, “Retreating before the battle even begins? That’s an exclamation of weakness.”

“There’s no reason to go up against the Crown Prince.” Xiao Qi shook her head and said, “There’s no need to just face his attacks head-on, you can just move in the shadows if need be.”

“Let’s just wait and see.” Chu Li said, “I still can’t leave yet.”

Xiao Qi lightly raised her head.

She was not too worried. The first reason was that she had confidence in Chu Li. There’s also the fact that with the backup plan of the Public House in play, no matter how bad the situation was, they could still retreat over there, where no one would dare to pull anything crazy. He had suspected that Zhuo Feiyang was still someone affiliated with the Yi Public House, in other words, one of Chu Li’s men. He thought that this b*stard was a spy, lurking around in the Crown Prince’s Residence with a hidden agenda. Due to the affiliation with Chu Li, Lu Guangdi had never seen eye-to-eye with Zhuo Feiyang. In fact, he hated this person, so much so that he would not hesitate to execute him if given the chance.

Zhuo Feiyang chuckled heartily as he walked up to the stone table and sat down. “Is that how you always treat your guests?”

“What the f*ck do you want?!” Lu Guangdi asked coldly, looking down on him in a rude manner.

Zhuo Feiyang replied, “Alright, alright, I’ll just say my piece.”

“Talk!” Lu Guangdi urged in an even colder tone.

Zhuo Feiyang laughed as he shook his head. “Brother Lu, rumors have been spreading like wildfire out there, you haven’t heard about any of it, right?”

“Heard about what?” Lu Guangdi frowned. “Hurry up, stop beating around the bush!”

Zhuo Feiyang just grinned as he shook his head once more. “Brother Lu, you definitely haven’t heard about it, otherwise, you wouldn’t be sitting idly over here.”

“What the hell are you talking about?!” Lu Guangdi’s voice showed that he was losing his patience. He sat on the opposite side of Zhuo Feiyang, now glaring daggers at his nemesis.

Without wiping that smile off his face, Zhuo Feiyang’s eyes gleamed with glee. As the two’s gaze met, the atmosphere in the Pavilion tensed up. Neither party was willing to back off, seemingly trying to have a duel just with their gaze.

Lu Guangdi’s confidence had been utterly shattered by his encounter against Chu Li. The aftermath truly hit him quite hard, but his ego still resides within him. He still felt an air of superiority over others around him. He still felt that all these b*stards were a bunch of weaklings, that he could wipe out in a single blow.

Zhuo Feiyang was also another egoistical character. Even without that whole pretense of Chu Li and the Yi Public House, they still would have hated each others’ guts.

“Alright, I’ll tell you.” Zhuo Feiyang revealed with a wide grin on his face, “Rumor has it that you made a bet when you had that duel with Chu Li, saying that the loser has to f*ck off from Fairy’s Capital, never to set foot there again. In the end, you lost that bout.”

“Hmph!” Lu Guangdi did not deny it.

Zhuo Feiyang shook his head and uttered, “They’re saying that you Tide-listening Pavilion disciples are all bet welchers, What a disgraceful and shameless bunch!”

“What’s al that got to do with the Tide-listening Pavilion?” Lu Guangdi’s facial expression suddenly changed.

He had complex feelings for the Tide-listening Pavilion, it was a mixture of both hate and gratitude. After all, without the Tide-listening Pavilion, he and his mother would have long been killed. “Me?” Zhuo Feiyang cheekily pointed at himself, before continuing seriously, “Why would I waste my time pulling something this petty? I just thought it was interesting, do you really have that much of thick skin to continue staying at Fairy’s Capital?”

“His Highness ordered me to stay!” Lu Guangdi coldly muttered.

Zhuo Feiyang chuckled once more as he shook his head repeatedly.

“What the f*ck are you laughing?!” Lu Guangdi scolded.

Zhuo Feiyang just went off on him, “Even a three-year-old kid could see past that flimsy excuse you made for yourself. What do you mean His Highness’ orders? If you were truly someone who keeps their word, no matter how much His Highness the Crown Prince orders you, you’d still leave!”

“The one name Zhuo, you’d love for me to leave, wouldn’t you?” Lu Guangdi laughed coldly. “No one else has seen your true colors yet. If I leave, who would keep you in check?!”

Zhuo Feiyang sighed, “You really think you’re really smart, don’t you? Do you really think you’re actually better than Miss Lu? Why do you think Miss Lu hasn’t chased me out yet?”

“Isn’t it all because of Chu Li?!” Lu Guangdi gritted his teeth as he yelled, “Even if I were to leave, that Chu b*stard better not be so happy. I’ll personally go to His Highness and expose your true identity!”

“You try telling that to His Highness then, see what His Highness thinks about it!” Zhuo Feiyang said without any hesitation. “I’ve always been His Highness’ loyal subject, unlike you freeloading b*stard. Ever since you entered the Crown Prince’s Residence, you’ve contributed jack sh*t! All you know how to do is to make demands, do you really think that His Highness cares about your opinions?”

“What do you mean?”

“There’s no one who doesn’t know this, the whole reason His Highness has you around is only on behalf of your Father!”

“Shut up!”

“Hehe, if it wasn’t for the Elder at Green Deer Cliff, did you really think that you would be cared for so much by His Highness?”

“You Zhuo b*stard, shut the f*ck up!” Lu Guangdi angrily slammed the stone table.

He tightly clenched his fist to the point where his veins started to pop out. He really wished he could murder Zhuo Feiyang on the spot.

“If I were you, I wouldn’t have a thick enough skin to continue staying here, I’d leave as soon as I can!” Zhuo Feiyang shook his head as he stood up and walked away.

As he left the courtyard, he turned back to have one final look. He had finally completed the task given by Chu Li, triggering this thick-skinned b*stard quite a bit. If Lu Guangdi still did not leave after this, he would come back again tomorrow. He was actually curious as to how long this kid could last.

Just as he was about to leave, he saw Lu Yurong. Immediately, he smiled and did a fist salute.

Lu Yurong just hmph-ed and waved her jade-like hands. The white veil masked her beautiful face, not revealing any emotion, yet her eyes still looked so cold as if it could see through a person’s soul.

Zhuo Feiyang scurried off. Every time he sees Lu Yurong, her bright eyes seemingly saw through him completely. It felt similar to when he was facing Chu Li. His entire body felt tingly, creating an urge to escape their sightlines immediately.

Lu Yurong stood before the door to the courtyard, shaking her head but not entering. She merely muttered to herself, thinking how amazingly ruthless Chu Li was. He managed to hit Lu Guangdi right where it hurts, forcing him to leave Fairy’s Capital.

Looks like Chu Li’s side of the bargain would be completed soon, she needs to pick up her pace too.
