Warrior’s Promise

Chapter 2409 - The Old Way

Chapter 2409: The Old Way

Su Mo moved quickly in the Labyrinth. It was big and even though two million people had trudged into it, it was hard to encounter many.

However, since there were many people, people were being ousted at every moment.

If they were heavily injured, they would be transported out immediately to avoid them being killed. However, if someone killed a slave, they would die on the spot.

The higher ups of the Dragon Tribe did not bear any regard to the lives of slaves. They wanted top talents who were useful for the Dragon Tribe, not useless slaves who were worth nothing to the tribe.

“Five hundred treasures in this Labyrinth, it is really hard to chance upon something!” As he strode forward, Su Mo thought to himself.

Although he said that, with his speed, it was enough to walk through the entire Labyrinth in an hour.

However, by the time he walked through the entire Labyrinth, the treasures would have been taken by someone else.

Su Mo couldn’t help sighing. He could not expect to obtain many treasures though it would be good. He would not force it if he couldn’t get a treasure.

Shoosh shoosh shoosh!

Right at that moment, an air-rending sound tore through the sky and Su Mo picked up on it.

“Hm?”

Su Mo’s eyes instantly narrowed. Though the sound was fast, Su Mo could pick out that there was more than one person.

“Could there be a treasure?” Su Mo thought to himself. If there wasn’t a treasure, the people would not be speeding so quickly.

This scene seemed to suggest someone was chasing after something.

With that, Su Mo’s body flashed and he headed towards the origin of the sound.

Cutting corners and rushing through lanes, Su Mo finally found his target.

There were two men chasing after a woman, it was very likely that the woman had obtained a treasure.

The lady wore a long animal-skin skirt and her face was covered with tiny silver scales that meant Su Mo could not decide which race she belonged to.

However, it was obvious that the woman was not a match for the men as she dashed away.

Shoosh!

Su Mo zipped through the empty sky like a sharp sword and caught up with the trio. Among the three, it was evident the lady had a treasure.

At the speed that Su Mo travelled, no one else could compare to him at the same cultivation rank.

In just two breaths, Su Mo caught up to them and blocked the lady.

“Hand the treasure over!” Su Mo coldly demanded from the lady.

The lady immedateily stopped and stared at Su Mo before glancing back at the two men that was chasing after her. Her face was hard and serious.

“Young lad, you actually want to steal our item?” The two men wore stoney expressions. They had been chasing after the lady for a while already but a young brat had suddenly intervened.

“The three of you, hand over all your storage rings and Spatial Devices to me!” Su Mo’s eyes were cold as he declared

“Absurd!”

Almost simultaneously, the lady and two men shouted in anger. The man in front of them was stepping out of his place.

Bam bam bam!

Su Mo did not speak as he moved his palm forward and gathered Origin Energy to form a palm print that grabbed the three.

This time, he used a fire-based energy, although it held a great amount of wood-based energy in it too.

Wood was a base for fire and the use of the two energies caused the flames to burn intensely.

Su Mo could play with the five elemental energies like it was a piece of cake.

The ferocious flames were thrown forward like a flamethrower, flooding the pathway and leaving no room for the trio to dodge.

“So strong?”

The three immediately turned pale. The power of the flames were enough to capture Rank 2 martial artists and their hearts leaped with fright.

If not for their cultivation rank being suppressed, the three of them would not fear the flames at all. However, with their cultivation ranks at the Lower Rank 1 Realm, they were not a match.

“Attack together!”

The lady shouted as she pressed her palms together and unleashed a seal.

On the other hand, one of the two men was a sword user while the other a spear user. Neither hesitated to use their ultimate moves to block the flames.

The space along the pathway was narrow and the combined attacks of the three could grant an escape route for them.

However, all of them were disappointed. Despite their attempts, the flames showed no signs of subsiding.

As the three attacks fell apart vulnerably, the flame-based palm print of Su Mo’s successfully captured the three in an instant.

Ah ah ah!

Pitiful screams rang through the sky. The power of the palm print was strong and in addition to the fire-based energy that it was made up of, sharp pains pierced the skin of the three victims.

Su Mo captured the three and immediately retrieved the storage rings from all of them.

“You are all ousted!” Su Mo threw the three aside and manipulated the three people to sustain severe injuries.

Buzz buzz~~

The space vibrated as the three people were teleported out of the Labyrinth.

With that, Su Mo began to check through the three storage rings he had. The storage rings of the men were empty while a Spiritual Fruit was inside the lady’s storage ring.

This Spiritual Fruit was as large as a peach. Being purple in color, the aura of the Spiritual Fruit was thick and dense.

“What Spiritual Fruit is this?” Su Mo mumbled to himself. Without delay, he swallowed it.

Once the Spiritual Fruit was ingested, medicinal energy filled his body and rushed towards Su Mo’s meridians, allowing a refreshing sense of calmness to rush through him.

Almost immediately, Su Mo felt the Origin Energy in his body surge. Chaotic Energy rushed through his acupoints, causing a new sense of calmness to flood Su Mo.

“This is…?” Su Mo carefully took in the changes in his body and his heart jumped. It was a treasure indeed.

The medicinal uses of the Spiritual Fruit would greatly aid in cultivation. If Su Mo used the Spiritual Fruit at a cultivation bottleneck, breaking through would be a lot easier.

“It is a top treasure indeed!” Su Mo’s eyes brightened. With a random item he gotten had such miraculous effects. The items the Dragon Tribe had were unordinary.

Furthermore, it seemed that the effects of the Spiritual Fruit could last a long time.

With the speed at which the medicine moved through his body, it would be in effect for at least a month.

This would allow Su Mo’s cultivation to be seven or eight times easier.

In an instant, Su Mo’s heart burned with desire. Originally, he wasn’t too excited about being in the Labyrinth to obtain treasures of the Drago nTribe.

After all, he was exceptionally talented and his combat powers surpassed many. Little items were useful for him.

“I need to get more of this!” Su Mo made a resolution. If he could get more of these Spiritual Fruits, possibly a few hundred of them, the time he would need to become a Supreme Being would halve.

Although the five hundred treasures in the Labyrinth were not all these Spiritual Fruits, other items would be as valuable.

“The old way!”

Su Mo smiled to himself as his body flashed and he sped towards the door of the Labyrinth. He would steal treasures the old way.
